[00:08:07] Almost nine million live viewers Thought they really had something It also went to iTunes They were really trying iTunes digital store Very soon after release So we're kind of entering into a new era Of decom Shall we dive into the movie? Sure I would love nothing more Mitchie wakes up And she is pumped She's getting ready for school And she's very excited because Camp Rock is coming up And Which she's not going

[00:08:36] She's hoping That this is going to be the year She gets to go She gets to go She goes downstairs She's eating breakfast The TV is on The news breaks Shane Gray You know him You love him One of the three members of Connect 3 Yes He is in trouble again Yes No of course And I'm sure they said it Probably Stole some stuff Was mean to somebody I don't know Yeah he probably blew up some fans after a concert Yeah yeah yeah So yes

[00:09:05] Him and his brothers They make up Connect 3 And I think we can all agree A god awful group name But it doesn't matter Because Her mom tells her I mean the other option was probably like The Gray Brothers And that Yeah As somebody who Wanted to start a band called the Gray Brothers Yeah it would have been It would have been Copyright infringement Yeah that's right We would have sued them so bad They tried to be the Gray Brothers Right As a play on the Jonas Brothers There's some folks in Titusville Florida That I don't have a brand suit

[00:09:34] McNasty's coming at ya That's right They said we can't do this Yeah And someone said I guess Connect 3 And so Demi gets to go I challenged Joe to a basketball game For the And you clearly won I won Yeah McNasty won You think you could have beat Joe Jonas in your prime Yes One on one I think so too I 100% think so You That's honestly the nicest thing you've ever said to me I mean in your prime that's when you were like what 13 Yeah Yes Yeah

[00:10:04] So Demi Lovato only gets to go to the camp because her mom's the cook Yes she can't afford it otherwise Well hold on yes what I was about to say is she's Her mom tells her hey there's no way we can afford Camp Rock I'm sorry She's really bummed about it but then after school Great news her mom is good

[00:10:19] She took the catering job the cooking job at the camp so she can go bad news is she's gonna have to work like Mitchie's is gonna have to work while she's there but she can go and be a part of Camp Rock and that's all that she's ever wanted so she's very excited and you at home may be wondering isn't it a bit late in the summer to be hiring a chef for camp and hire that right beforehand and as someone who has worked full time at a summer camp no

[00:10:47] Nope it's not yeah we've done that and we've also we've also had a we've also booked a chef who quit after the first week of camp the fun thing about You know camp them so I just envisioned they had someone that person was like you know what that person was probably a secret musician they got booked for a gig and they were like I can't cook anymore I'm actually gonna go live my dream and they were like who we gonna get And at that point Mitchie's mom was like calling around being like anybody did your camp have burgers that were just fresh never frozen raw beef

[00:11:17] They had all of the ingredients whole it appears I mean and the the all of it just my camp did a really good job at like it is some of my favorite food like I loved eating I just I don't um but it wasn't It wasn't some of your favorite food Bray and I are the only people removed from the cult of no the camp I went to had good food I love camp I met my wife at camp

[00:11:40] Yeah they would like change the menu every year they would really try like we would you know they would just they would try really hard to get in new flavors new dishes keep it healthy Um Keep it healthy Yeah like we had like fresh ingredients when we could like All right It wasn't like they weren't getting all this ground meat and hand making the burgers but like We're gonna fly up to new hampshire I can't wait All right We're just gonna be like make me all the dishes I'm gonna be like gordon rames He would take a bite be like no get it out of here No get it out of here Send it back Send it back

[00:12:09] Uh shane gray returns to camp Stand by It was great Uh for the first time since Him and his brothers uh blew up Mm-hmm And the goal here is to kind of rekindle what made him great to begin Yeah and also like fix his public image Yeah Like hey I'm going back to where I came from Yeah I'm giving back all that good stuff Mm-hmm Did you think his uncle is the Yeah I'm sorry his uncle Uncle Brown or something like that I don't know man Is like the head of And he's Australian

[00:12:39] Okay Yeah His uncle's Australian As Australian as he could be Australian uncle So uh he gets there He's immediately like hiding from Other campers who are like See him and scream And it's not weird at all The cabin they put him in Is like 360 windows Yeah And after Doesn't help It's not weird at all After this first day No one really actually cares that he's there No They care so little Yeah That he is Imagine the youngest brothers being at your camp And then I think he teaches one class And they're like You know what

[00:13:09] He's like one of us He's not great Oh yeah actually that's what it is He sucks He's not good But yeah his bed is in Just like this room That is just surrounded by windows And it's It's weird It's weird Surely no one's gonna look at him in there No way There's not a point later in the movie Where girls just walk by While he's sleeping No uh uh So It's all above board And that's what you need to know Above board He uh Dan wasn't above board But Brandon and I above board Thank you Dan It's all above board

[00:13:38] It's all windows What could go wrong Nothing So he's hiding And in hiding He overhears Mitchie singing Mitchie is at the piano That's in the cafeteria Obviously It's Camp Rock I think there's instruments Hidden all over the grounds For whenever that inspiration hits Yes Yeah And she's like singing a song That she's working on This is real This is me I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be Brand sounds better Than what she sounds like In that moment

[00:14:38] This is real Gotta go Now Demi is the only Assistant to the chef There are times When I saw like One to two other people In the kitchen Background acting But it looks like At most there's Two people in the kitchen And then a third person joins And it's Mitchie Before every meal She has to Inconspicuously disappear From the Camp Rock Yeah To go and make the Camp Rock food What you need to know About Camp Rock Camp in general Kitchen shifts You show up 20 minutes Before that meal

[00:15:08] Is supposed to be served Most every meal For 80 people Takes 20 minutes And I've said that For years Easy peasy Like these two Martinis It took you 8 seconds Right That was it It was a total of 8 seconds You could have made 100 of those easy In 20 minutes Oh if I needed to make More than two Yeah give me like Maybe 9 seconds Yeah it's done Easy For sure When I worked in a camp kitchen I didn't have to report there At 5 in the morning She is going to somehow Do all the camp activities And then be like Oh deuces And then show up In the kitchen And instead of just

[00:15:38] Being honest With people to say Cause there's a status She instead of just going Hey I have to do the cooking It's the only reason I'm here She makes up a whole thing Well yeah And she really paints herself Into a picture A picture A corner of a picture Imagine a picture And then the corner of it Is Mitch And she's like Hi Nowhere for her to go Because The it girl of camp Notices Mitchie And it's like You're new At opening jam You should bunk with us Guys there's opening jam And it's not the pajama jam It's not the beach jam It's not the final jam

[00:18:33] They can be on Disney Channel And Cool Is Mike's Kid sister Who interviews Disney Channel stars Also in the music video From Mike It was a very real show Real siblings Real siblings In real life You guys are so cool Guys I thought Mike And what was Sally Mike and Sally I thought they were siblings I thought they were real Siblings Who hosted a real Little show And they're all like Demi Lovato Just lying to people Yeah

[00:19:02] So Shane is committed To finding the voice Inside his head The reason why he's singing And he's like I gotta find you And That inspires him To work on a new song A song I just Told you some lyrics of And And it's something That's different From what Connect 3 typically does Yeah Mitchie overhears him playing And tells him that it's good At first he's like Don't Don't even Right now With me Joe Jonas Just going for the Emmy God But then

[00:19:31] His scarves are doing Most of the work Yeah They are doing The scarf game A lot of share And He thinks that she's Giving him a hard time But then realizes Oh you're actually Being honest That actually means a lot To me basically Maybe we should hang out soon But she's like I gotta go Where? Obviously the kitchen But she can't say that But she can't say that Caitlin and Tess Get in a food fight And Caitlin is put on Kitchen duty For the rest of summer Even though it wasn't her fault It wasn't their fault Her fault in the movie Tess says

[00:20:01] Well Caitlin started it And Caitlin says No I didn't And then You know The uncle there Looks at Mitchie Like well Who's telling the truth Who's telling the truth And she doesn't want to Upset Tess So she doesn't say anything And so then Caitlin gets in trouble You're on kitchen duty Because I guess We just believe Tess Go start the barbie Yeah that's really good So she'll be on Kitchen duty And obviously That won't be Trouble for Mitchie Yes No Mitchie hears this Is not thrilled Because not even Caitlin knows about The whole kitchen situation

[00:20:31] I'm sure She's gonna figure out A way to Handle this And it's gonna be great The next day She finds Shane again He plays her the song That he's been working on She loves it But she's gotta get To the kitchen No They gotta get To the kitchen Despite sitting closer Than any two people Ever They don't kiss And gets into the kitchen And sees Caitlin Tries to hide her face By lifting up The chips In front of her face She somehow thinks She can make it Through the rest of The shift

[00:21:01] Just holding a bag of chips The rest of the summer Even She doesn't make it Another two seconds She slips She falls Chips goes everywhere She falls down Caitlin is shocked And laughs And then gives her A hard time For lying about Who she is And at first Mitchie does not Handle that well It is basically like You don't get it You don't get it Yeah I just want Everyone to like me Yeah And Caitlin's like Tess was my friend And I know What it's like She's gonna Like you're not Gonna have fun Being her friend Basically So it's better

[00:23:00] It is truly something I've never heard Or seen before And Ross's son Ben Star of Suite Life Of Zach and Cody So you know It's all connected It's all coming full circle How about that Connector of lives This movie I mean Ross does have A child Emma But maybe Emma Changed their name to Caitlin But anyway It just made me laugh Because the keyboarding Like reminded me so much Of that scene with Ross It is truly unlike Anything I've ever seen before It is It's perfect And Tess for some reason Gets so jealous So jealous

[00:23:30] Like yeah And just goes Ah snake Which obviously Freaks everyone out Caitlin has to stop The song Calls her out And Mitchie begins to realize That Tess might actually Be the worst Yeah Tess also made Mitchie And the other two girls Whose names I don't know They're important Peggy and Peggy and Gabriela Gabriela Yes But she's like Wear green sweatshirt And white shorts We're gonna match Our pajamas And I'm like Hopefully Mitchie

[00:23:59] Packed a green sweatshirt Like this is very specific Last minute Wardrobe And not only Does she pack a green sweatshirt She packed the same Exact outfit It's perfect Like they all match Like perfectly And obviously Tess shows up in her Lead singer outfit Which is not A green sweatshirt And shorts But as someone Who has had to Beck for camp Like it's one sweatshirt And that thing is Lasting you for the week We're not bringing We're not bringing 18 outfit changes Yes but Or scrapbooks Everybody has everything They need At their disposal Shane decides That she's gonna

[00:24:28] That he's gonna Put out a Search for the voice He does this By telling one kid Who tells the rest Of the kids Oh wait It spreads So quickly Yeah Of course it's And that's when He's sleeping Shane could have Just been like I'm looking for The girl with the voice But he decided To go this route Which is fun And then people Are just walking by While he's sleeping In bed Because it's all Like screened windows They're just walking By singing Whatever song They're singing And Mitchie At this point In time And we're allowed to do that Because there's two adults At this entire team

[00:24:58] There's three There's three adults Mitchie's mom is there Mitchie's mom is there Yes Technically she is In the kitchen Are there counselors In the cabins No No It's a free for all Which blows my mind It's a free for all I just read a book And it's the same situation Where like the cabins Don't have counselors And I That's crazy I just don't know And the kids just like Go to sleep That's nuts Well it's a thriller And like girls go missing So I'm like I think for the premise There had to be no counselors But Fair enough I was like Well you know If there was counselors In the cabins Maybe they wouldn't

[00:25:28] Those freshmen And college counselors Would have put it into That's right They would have The security of those They would have stepped in And they would have 19 year olds Will show them The Last Time I Lie By Riley Sager It's a great summer read Alright there you go Camp Rock Mitchie The lead character Is very much a testiler At this point in time Mitchie doesn't know That Shane is who Is looking for her Like because She's only sung one time What are the odds That So she's like I'm not even gonna bother singing Obviously it's not me She sang the song

[00:25:57] In the cafeteria But then she also Belts it out In class This is real And I would say When she's at the piano Singing like softly I think she sounds fine there When she's singing In front of the class And he And she sings And he's like You have to sing louder And she just belts it out It is unbearable It is rough Demi has a really good voice And it is a rough scene But yeah She just gets over her fear Like that There you go So I think the problem With that scene

[00:26:27] Is it's so evidently Bad singing She's just going too hard And everyone in the class Is acting like She just Crushed it Yeah Shane and Mitchie Once again There's a Hilary Duff movie Called Raise Your Voice Where she goes To like a music Yeah yeah yeah Isn't that a theatrical movie That's like a movie movie Was it? I don't know I want it on DVD If you ever want to borrow it Oh thank god Which I I didn't buy It was gifted To me Oh sure Yeah

[00:26:57] But There's a scene As if we would judge you For that Yeah Of all the things you own That's the time You decide to preface it Of all the things you own You're like Well I didn't buy this one I didn't buy this one Well because there's two There's also one With the lead From Color Friendship And Lindsay Han And it's the same exact premise And I prefer the Lindsay Han one Sorry Hilary Oh What the heck Anyway there's a scene There's a scene Where Hilary has to sing And it's just like the same thing Where she gets called on She doesn't want to do it

[00:27:27] The teacher's like You just got to go for it And so she does And it's the similar reaction We were like What did we have to? Wish you didn't Wish you didn't I liked believing you were Amazing Amazing Shane and Mitchie End up hanging out again They go out on a canoe Tess sees this Gets jealous 10 out of 10 Canoe skills for them The great canoes Oh my god It's just like If we both paddle In the opposite And then we'll just Go around in a circle We'll just stay still We'll face each other And we'll both paddle On the right side

[00:54:06] And it just became This like full circle Money joint for Disney So they were trying To integrate Jonas in But They were all Mostly too old And they have said this Like after this movie They get a TV show And they were like We shouldn't have been On the TV Like we were all In our 20s Like we weren't We should not Have been on there Demi had been She had like Like Mike Superstar show There was What was it As the bell rings It was like It was like a little show That was like

[00:54:35] Because Disney doesn't Really do commercials They do like Their interstitials So it would be this show That was like Three to five minutes long That would play In between During the breaks And so that was Demi was on that And then they Were like She's great Like we should Give her a vehicle So this is a A movie where It was like It didn't have The star power That some of The other ones have Or like Where they were Big on Disney Channel And then we got a movie Like they were just Kind of throwing these Almost unknowns in there And you knew The Jonas Brothers At that point Because they You know It was kind of like Alright they're gonna be In a Disney Channel movie

[00:55:04] I guess that's cool I was just about to turn 18 When this came out So I didn't I wasn't on the Jonas Brothers train Until 2019 When Happiness Begins Comes out Like I was on board For that But I was too old I was like They're not They were marketed As a boy band And I was like Excuse me A boy band is NSYNC Or Backstreet Boys It's not the Jonas Brothers They don't do any dancing How dare you And So I loved it I think I I think I liked this movie Because it took place at camp

[00:55:34] And camp was a very big part of my life I spent every summer Growing up at camp Food's good Best food I've ever had It wasn't always In the last few years Like As a kid It was just like Mac and cheese Burgers It was very Whatever In the last few years They really tried to Elevate And I love it I stand by it And I do miss the free food That I would get when I worked there It was free There it is Now we got it Now we got it Anyway It's good It's good But yeah Camp was each part of me So I loved that there was this movie setting Like at camp We got to sing
