[00:00:03] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast
[00:00:54] We've got reviews combining Apple Plus
[00:00:56] No, it's just Apple, it's just Apple Podcast, that's it
[00:00:58] We never said that
[00:00:59] We actually specifically said it had to be Apple ratings and reviews
[00:01:02] Did we?
[00:01:03] Also though, the last Apple rating review we had was November 5th
[00:01:07] which at this point, ages ago, just ages ago
[00:01:11] So, guys
[00:01:12] Is it the fact that women can't vote anymore?
[00:01:15] That's probably something to do with it
[00:01:16] You can't leave reviews, that was one of the things in the fine print there
[00:01:19] Yeah
[00:01:19] With the election
[00:01:21] What a bummer
[00:01:22] I got some stuff
[00:01:24] I got some stuff, everybody
[00:01:26] Do you have stuff and reviews?
[00:01:28] I got some stank here
[00:01:29] Alright
[00:01:30] Um
[00:01:32] I actually think I already read this one
[00:01:34] Okay
[00:01:34] You have nothing
[00:01:35] Cool
[00:01:36] Did you?
[00:01:36] Yeah, I think I read Olivia's thing about being a 12 year old girl
[00:01:40] I don't know
[00:01:41] Let me read it anyway
[00:01:42] Olivia says, as a 12 year old girl who loves to watch DCOMs and Disney Channel TV series
[00:01:47] It's really interesting seeing how older Disney Channel fans react to older Disney Channel stuff
[00:01:53] And also how people who didn't grow up with Disney Channel react
[00:01:59] I don't remember this
[00:02:00] I really enjoy the podcast
[00:02:01] Keep up the good work
[00:02:02] Olivia, we're big!
[00:02:04] We're big in the 12 year old girl market!
[00:02:07] Olivia!
[00:02:07] She gave us two thumbs up
[00:02:08] Two thumbs up?
[00:02:09] Two thumbs up!
[00:02:10] Thank you, Olivia
[00:02:11] How about that?
[00:02:12] Fantastic
[00:02:15] Chris says, I thought I was listening to a DCOM podcast
[00:02:17] It turns out to be a Cotton Eye Joe podcast
[00:02:19] And I'm here for it
[00:02:20] Fair
[00:02:21] I think we did read that one
[00:02:22] That's great
[00:02:23] I love that
[00:02:24] I gotta be honest
[00:02:25] I would have assumed that no 12 year old is listening to our show
[00:02:29] No question
[00:02:30] So, you know, you find out some days you're wrong
[00:02:33] And you gotta live with that
[00:02:35] We're talking to Eddie and Millie
[00:02:37] I'm thinking through some of our episodes
[00:02:38] What?
[00:02:39] Hey, Olivia
[00:02:41] Hey, Olivia
[00:02:41] Hey, hey
[00:02:43] Hey, bud
[00:02:43] Thank you, but no thank you
[00:02:45] No
[00:02:45] Come on, listen
[00:02:46] You'll be fine
[00:02:48] PG-13
[00:02:49] It's nothing
[00:02:49] Yeah, we'll be
[00:02:50] You're almost there
[00:02:51] We'll be PG-12 for Olivia
[00:02:53] PG-12
[00:02:53] We know Olivia's listening
[00:02:54] We gotta, of course, make sure that Olivia
[00:02:57] Knock it down a tick to PG-12
[00:02:59] Knock it down
[00:02:59] That's right
[00:03:00] The Cotton Eye Joe bit though
[00:03:02] Is PG safe, I think
[00:03:04] Yeah
[00:03:05] He comes to town, he marries all the women
[00:03:07] They played that song for me when I was in like the sixth grade, so
[00:03:10] Yeah, that's right
[00:03:10] It's above board
[00:03:11] Yes
[00:03:12] We're talking about Eddie's million dollar cook-off today
[00:03:15] Yeah, we are
[00:03:15] And so you might be wondering to yourself
[00:03:17] There's probably a ton of things that they could choose
[00:03:19] So many things
[00:03:20] For the Delish
[00:03:20] What do they, what, that's probably what people are tuning in for
[00:03:23] They're like, well, I wonder what they're doing
[00:03:24] Yeah
[00:03:25] Well, now's the time to find out
[00:03:27] It's time for Delish
[00:03:28] It's where Aaron brings something that is in some way, shape or form related to the movie in which we're reviewing
[00:03:33] And we eat it
[00:03:35] It's thematically delicious
[00:03:36] Or drink it
[00:03:36] No, we eat it all the time
[00:03:39] Sometimes we drink it
[00:03:40] Sometimes it's a cocktail
[00:03:40] Sometimes it's a cocktail
[00:03:41] Yeah
[00:03:41] We don't drink this, I don't think
[00:03:44] No, these are Eddie dogs
[00:03:45] Please don't
[00:03:46] Alright, what do we got going on here?
[00:03:47] Go ahead
[00:03:47] Yeah, so we, as I knock over Dan's phone, we have some plain hot dogs
[00:03:53] Great
[00:03:54] We have a couple topping options
[00:03:57] Yeah
[00:03:57] So everyone here is going to get the chance to make their own Eddie dog
[00:04:02] Now what is an Eddie dog?
[00:04:04] An Eddie dog is if you go to the ballpark and pretend that they left every topping imaginable out for you to just stick your hands into
[00:04:13] Eddie makes a dog and it has, it's like sauerkraut?
[00:04:17] Sauteed onions, sauerkraut cabbage, ketchup, mustard, cherry tomatoes, jalapenos
[00:04:23] Yeah
[00:04:24] If you think you might be able to find it at the ballpark, it's on an Eddie dog
[00:04:29] I don't think I'd eat an Eddie dog
[00:04:33] But I
[00:04:34] There's a chili on there, which is crazy
[00:04:35] Maybe that's a southern thing
[00:04:37] I don't know
[00:04:37] Yeah, I do love the idea of putting toppings on a hot dog
[00:04:42] My favorite is a Chicago dog
[00:04:44] I do love the green relish
[00:04:46] Okay
[00:04:46] It's a Chicago dog
[00:04:46] Celery salt on there?
[00:04:49] Interesting
[00:04:49] Haven't found one down here
[00:04:50] So what are we doing?
[00:04:51] There was one place that closed up before you were there
[00:04:53] We got two dogs, three hosts
[00:04:54] What are we doing?
[00:04:55] Dan, you and I are splitting more of her because she didn't have lunch
[00:04:57] If you want, if you want to channel your inner Bridget, we do have a cake
[00:05:02] Bridget
[00:05:03] Which is how Bridget would have made a dessert perfect
[00:05:06] Now I think, Erin, in true Eddie dog fashion, we should put all these toppings on here and make Brand eat it
[00:05:13] I mean, I would
[00:05:14] The marshmallows too?
[00:05:16] Yeah, all of it
[00:05:17] No, I'm just kidding
[00:05:18] He's not going to want any of that stuff on there
[00:05:20] I mean, I do
[00:05:21] I want all that stuff
[00:05:22] I do too
[00:05:22] Well, just split mine and then give me the dog
[00:05:25] Split one and then give me the dog
[00:05:27] Give me half the dog
[00:05:28] Yeah, give him half the dog
[00:05:29] That's fine, so he can eat it plain, I guess
[00:05:31] Is there any ketchup?
[00:05:32] No, it's hot dog
[00:05:33] How dare you?
[00:05:34] Oh, we had ketchup
[00:05:35] I don't do mustard on hot dog
[00:05:36] I do ketchup on hot dog
[00:05:37] Mustard on brat
[00:05:38] Mustard on brat
[00:05:43] We don't even
[00:05:44] You're a great dog
[00:05:45] Just plain
[00:05:46] That's a plain dog
[00:05:47] That's a good dog
[00:05:48] Calm down in there, buddy
[00:05:52] Man
[00:05:54] You made it
[00:05:55] Homemade
[00:05:56] So homemade delish
[00:05:57] Mm-hmm
[00:05:58] But you could also go to your local
[00:06:01] What was it?
[00:06:01] Double dog?
[00:06:02] Where did I go?
[00:06:03] Double dog
[00:06:03] To your house
[00:06:04] I don't know if you had the exact same recipe as this
[00:06:05] Is what you're saying?
[00:06:07] Mm-hmm
[00:06:07] Uh, Nathan's famous hot dog
[00:06:11] Hot dogs are weird, huh?
[00:06:14] You bet
[00:06:15] I'm trying to think really about what's going on there
[00:06:18] Well, that's mistake number one
[00:06:19] Tell me about what you're doing there
[00:06:21] You put the mustard on and then you flip the dog over
[00:06:25] Interesting
[00:06:25] I've never seen that done before
[00:06:27] I don't have any problem with that
[00:06:28] I usually put mustard on the side of the bun before I put the hot dog on it
[00:06:30] Yeah
[00:06:31] I've never seen it done
[00:06:31] I just wanted to be able to put more toppings on
[00:06:33] So I thought if I flipped it
[00:06:35] Then I get
[00:06:36] It's not all gonna like slide off
[00:06:39] Is this something you've done before?
[00:06:40] Yeah
[00:06:40] Okay
[00:06:41] I didn't know if it was a new
[00:06:42] So guys
[00:06:43] Hot dogs are good
[00:06:45] So now you know that
[00:06:46] A lot of people were wondering
[00:06:47] Kinda what's the deal with hot dogs
[00:06:48] Are they good or not?
[00:06:50] Hot dogs
[00:06:50] Hot dogs good
[00:06:51] We have the official review in
[00:06:52] Official review
[00:06:53] Hot dogs are good
[00:06:55] Review on Eddie Dog still out
[00:06:57] Double dog?
[00:06:58] You've got the closest thing I think to an Eddie Dog over there
[00:07:01] I put everything on mine
[00:07:01] Okay, great
[00:07:02] The marshmallows?
[00:07:04] No
[00:07:04] I would
[00:07:05] Yeah, let's not
[00:07:06] You wanna put a couple on here?
[00:07:07] I'll do it
[00:07:08] We're having fun here
[00:07:09] She's gonna taste it first
[00:07:10] Yeah
[00:07:12] Alright, babe
[00:07:15] I'll do it like Eddie
[00:07:18] Oh, she's doing it
[00:07:19] Here we go
[00:07:21] Alright
[00:07:21] Okay, here we go
[00:07:22] Hot dog, marshmallow, Aaron Shay, action
[00:07:27] Wow, that was a good munch
[00:07:29] End of the life
[00:07:30] A good munch
[00:07:31] How was that?
[00:07:32] Dan's walking out
[00:07:32] He's so mad
[00:07:35] What do you think?
[00:07:36] Can't really taste the marshmallow
[00:07:37] Okay
[00:07:38] We'll be right back
[00:07:40] This is good stuff, guys
[00:07:42] Can't taste the marshmallow
[00:07:43] You can't taste it
[00:07:44] Where'd you go?
[00:07:45] Oh, you just went
[00:07:46] I went to get a little dessert
[00:07:47] A little something to, you know
[00:07:48] Cleanse the palate from the hot dog
[00:07:49] Oh, just one
[00:07:50] People are like, I thought this was a
[00:07:51] Do you want one?
[00:07:51] I thought this was a fun place
[00:07:53] No, I'm good
[00:07:53] I do have a whole lot of time
[00:07:55] No, I'll get you one
[00:07:56] No, it's okay
[00:07:57] People out there that don't like eating on the podcast
[00:08:08] Maybe not a great episode for you
[00:08:09] Sorry
[00:08:10] It's not a great show even
[00:08:11] I mean, we have a whole segment
[00:08:13] That'd be like
[00:08:14] Watching Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off
[00:08:16] and being mad that there's a cook-off
[00:08:17] You know
[00:08:18] The D stands for delish
[00:08:20] It stands for delish
[00:08:21] And you can't spell D count without the D for delish
[00:08:22] You need to know that
[00:08:24] Right up front
[00:08:25] This is
[00:08:25] We are on a bash
[00:08:26] I did have one earlier
[00:08:28] They're really good
[00:08:28] Right?
[00:08:29] Let's get to Eddie's
[00:08:30] You can also try some lint truffle snickerdoodle
[00:08:33] Snickerdoodle chocolate truffle
[00:08:34] What's the tie-in?
[00:08:35] There's not
[00:08:36] It's just a snack
[00:08:37] It's circular shit like a baseball
[00:08:39] Yeah, it's a baseball
[00:08:40] It's a baseball chocolate
[00:08:41] It's just a snack we have here in the office that we really like
[00:08:44] Can I ask you a question?
[00:08:45] Yeah
[00:08:46] Snacks
[00:08:47] Are there any that you can think of that smile back?
[00:08:51] Goldfish
[00:08:52] Yeah
[00:08:53] There you are the snack that smiles back
[00:08:54] It's beautiful
[00:08:55] Really good stuff
[00:08:55] Let's talk about Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off, shall we?
[00:08:58] A movie that premiered on the Disney Channel on July 18th, 2003
[00:09:02] A movie that I would have assumed
[00:09:04] And I think we've even talked about this, Aaron
[00:09:05] But I thought this was later
[00:09:07] I thought this was later
[00:09:08] Yeah
[00:09:08] I thought this was in like even three years later
[00:09:11] But it's not
[00:09:12] It's right now
[00:09:13] No, I knew it was before like the High School Musical era
[00:09:16] Yeah
[00:09:16] But I don't know if I would have put it in 2003
[00:09:18] I think it was
[00:09:19] I felt like it was closer
[00:09:20] That's all I'm saying
[00:09:21] Not right in it
[00:09:22] Not in it
[00:09:23] Sounds like you're alone here
[00:09:23] I'm alone here
[00:09:24] No, Aaron's with me
[00:09:26] Not at
[00:09:26] She's not with me
[00:09:27] Couldn't sound like it
[00:09:28] That's not what I got from that
[00:09:29] She's with me
[00:09:30] Well, she's not with me
[00:09:31] She's like, we're not lockstep
[00:09:32] Classic brand
[00:09:33] We're not
[00:09:33] You just say whatever you want
[00:09:34] He's gonna just be like, yeah
[00:09:35] No, we're not in lockstep
[00:09:36] But the steps are close enough to where if somebody looked at him
[00:09:39] They'd be like
[00:09:39] I mean, I can see that the steps are a little bit off
[00:09:41] But they're
[00:09:41] They were clearly together
[00:09:43] That's when I carried you
[00:09:44] Yeah, that's right
[00:09:45] You're one set of footprints
[00:09:46] I'm carrying Aaron and her ridiculous thoughts here
[00:09:49] All right
[00:09:50] Okay
[00:09:50] This is directed by
[00:09:51] Don't know how we got there but
[00:09:52] Paul Hohen
[00:09:53] We've talked about Paul
[00:09:55] Paul
[00:09:56] Paul before
[00:09:58] You know, we'll see him again with the Cheetah Girls
[00:10:00] We just saw
[00:10:02] Next week
[00:10:02] Next week, wow
[00:10:03] You Wish is where we saw him recently
[00:10:05] And True Confessions
[00:10:07] And so
[00:10:08] Oh, he did a whole bunch right back to back
[00:10:10] Did a bunch
[00:10:10] She was busy
[00:10:11] This was a busy time for old Paul
[00:10:14] Starring Taylor
[00:10:14] He worked for like one year
[00:10:15] Yeah, it was a really good year for him
[00:10:17] Taylor Ball
[00:10:19] One of
[00:10:20] What did we find out?
[00:10:21] He only did like six other things
[00:10:22] Yeah, he was in a show
[00:10:24] Where he was on like 60 some episodes of the show called Still Standing
[00:10:26] But aside from that
[00:10:27] He only did like four other things
[00:10:28] It's crazy
[00:10:29] So not a lifelong actor
[00:10:31] Orlando Brown is in this movie
[00:10:35] Riley McClendon
[00:10:37] Rose McIver
[00:10:40] And Mark L. Taylor
[00:10:41] Mark L. Taylor
[00:10:42] Who is
[00:10:43] We'll see him again in High School Musical 2
[00:10:45] Among other things
[00:10:47] Shall we dive into Eddie's
[00:10:49] Million Dollar Cook-Off
[00:10:50] Please
[00:10:52] We're at a ballpark
[00:10:53] Whoa
[00:10:54] I know
[00:10:54] It's baseball time
[00:10:56] Tickets
[00:10:56] Tickets here
[00:10:57] That's right
[00:10:58] That's right
[00:10:58] A lot of that going on
[00:10:59] It is another season
[00:11:01] I don't think they were selling tickets for any of those games
[00:11:02] Hot dogs, cold beer
[00:11:03] Cold beer
[00:11:04] You could go to that game for free
[00:11:06] That's crazy
[00:11:06] I think that game was definitely free
[00:11:07] Can you imagine if they sold beer at the Little League games
[00:11:10] Parents would be
[00:11:11] It would be
[00:11:12] It would be a mess
[00:11:13] Parents are already
[00:11:14] The worst
[00:11:15] That's right
[00:11:16] It's crazy
[00:11:17] Guys it's Little League
[00:11:18] Chill
[00:11:19] And so it is another season for the groundhogs
[00:11:23] And they are as bad as ever
[00:11:24] Except
[00:11:26] For Eddie
[00:11:27] Eddie is
[00:11:29] The one player
[00:11:30] He's the saving grace
[00:11:32] He's the star
[00:11:32] He can catch
[00:11:33] He can hit
[00:11:34] He can throw
[00:11:35] That's right
[00:11:36] He can crow
[00:11:38] Every year
[00:11:39] Is a building year
[00:11:41] It's a building year
[00:11:41] It's a building year
[00:11:42] It's not a rebuilding year
[00:11:42] They never built anything
[00:11:44] Every year they're building something
[00:11:45] But this is the year
[00:11:46] That they're gonna build towards something
[00:11:48] And they have the same players
[00:11:58] More than any of that
[00:12:00] Are Eddie dogs
[00:12:01] They love Eddie dogs
[00:12:02] Oh they've been waiting all year
[00:12:03] For Eddie dogs
[00:12:04] That's exactly right
[00:12:05] Eddie knows how to make a
[00:12:07] Can you make a hot dog at any other time of the year
[00:12:08] No
[00:12:09] No
[00:12:09] Gotta be in the ballpark
[00:12:10] I will say
[00:12:11] There is something about a hot dog
[00:12:12] With baseball
[00:12:13] As soon as I
[00:12:13] As soon as I said that
[00:12:15] I was like
[00:12:15] No actually at the ballpark
[00:12:17] Is when I most want to take hot dogs
[00:12:19] I mean they're ballpark franks
[00:12:20] I mean I don't know what to tell you
[00:12:22] Controversial opinion
[00:12:22] I always go for a sausage
[00:12:24] With peppers and onions
[00:12:25] At a ballpark
[00:12:25] Well if I'm in a ballpark
[00:12:27] That has that
[00:12:28] Yeah that's what I'm going for
[00:12:29] But like at the Greenville Drive
[00:12:30] Up here
[00:12:31] You're not
[00:12:31] I'm always picking sausage
[00:12:33] Over hot dog
[00:12:34] But if there's only hot dog
[00:12:35] I will take a hot dog
[00:12:36] Even the bratwurst
[00:12:37] At Greenville Drive
[00:12:38] Is terrible
[00:12:38] Really?
[00:12:39] You just need to get a regular hot dog
[00:12:40] Wow
[00:12:41] In my opinion
[00:12:42] Hot take
[00:12:43] I've not had anything there
[00:12:44] Like the hot dog
[00:12:45] You can't mess it up
[00:12:46] So
[00:12:46] At like Yankee Stadium
[00:12:48] Sausage, peppers, and onions
[00:12:50] Or a brat
[00:12:51] Like those are the options
[00:12:52] Hot dog doesn't even come into the fridge
[00:12:53] Fenway I will walk to the furthest concession stand
[00:12:56] Because it's always the furthest one
[00:12:57] That has the sausage and peppers
[00:12:58] Are you talking about Fenway Park?
[00:12:59] Fenway Park yes
[00:13:00] Pack
[00:13:00] The pack
[00:13:03] Eddie knows how to make a hot dog pop
[00:13:05] And you might think that's where it ends
[00:13:07] For Eddie
[00:13:08] In regards to food
[00:13:09] He just happens to have a way with the dog
[00:13:10] He does have a way with the dog
[00:13:12] His dad really thinks that Eddie could be something special in the baseball field
[00:13:16] But Eddie finds himself drawn to something else
[00:13:19] The culinary arts
[00:13:21] That's exactly right
[00:13:22] He turns on the TV and he is hypnotized by Bobby Flay
[00:13:24] Who hasn't been there
[00:13:26] He even whips up with his buddies some fruit loop fried chicken
[00:13:31] Yes
[00:13:32] Mom is cooking dinner
[00:13:33] She cuts herself
[00:13:35] Mom
[00:13:35] Sorry
[00:13:36] That's as much as we can play that
[00:13:38] Yeah, that's all we can play
[00:13:39] Mom, dad, and both older brothers leave the children home alone
[00:13:44] Yes
[00:13:44] And they're like put all this food away
[00:13:47] Mom's
[00:13:47] Mom's injured herself and she's a woman
[00:13:49] She's the only one who can cook here
[00:13:50] And then he's like
[00:13:52] Hmm
[00:13:53] Maybe
[00:13:53] What if I
[00:13:54] What if I fried chicken?
[00:13:55] He's like
[00:13:56] He's like tenderly putting the chicken away
[00:13:58] And he goes
[00:13:59] Guys
[00:14:00] What if we cooked it?
[00:14:02] What?
[00:14:03] What?
[00:14:04] And you know it's just boys hanging around
[00:14:06] And
[00:14:07] Cooking fruit loop chicken
[00:14:08] That's exactly right
[00:14:09] Boys will be boys
[00:14:10] They experiment with
[00:14:12] Chicken
[00:14:13] Chicken and fruit loops
[00:14:14] That's right
[00:14:15] They're just having a good time
[00:14:15] It's an experimental phase
[00:14:17] They don't mean anything
[00:14:18] It's an experimental phase for a lot of young teens
[00:14:21] Who hasn't stumbled their way into a kitchen
[00:14:23] To a fried chicken, that's right
[00:14:24] And the food is delicious
[00:14:26] It's delicious
[00:14:27] It is
[00:14:27] So everyone is thankful for Eddie, right?
[00:14:29] They don't give him a hard time
[00:14:30] No, they're like man, Eddie, is he a cooking savant?
[00:14:34] No
[00:14:34] What's interesting is that his buddies DB and Frankie do
[00:14:38] Those aren't three people, it's two people
[00:14:39] DB
[00:14:40] DB
[00:14:41] DB
[00:14:42] Yeah
[00:14:42] They are like, they help with the cooking
[00:14:45] Well it's D
[00:14:45] And then B and Frankie
[00:14:47] B and Frankie
[00:14:48] That's right
[00:14:49] B and Frankie
[00:14:49] What does DB stand for?
[00:14:51] Do we ever know?
[00:14:51] David is his first name
[00:14:53] They call him Davey at one point
[00:14:54] Thought it was Dirty Bastard
[00:14:57] Olivia
[00:14:57] We're so sorry
[00:14:58] Sorry Olivia
[00:14:59] Sorry about that
[00:15:00] I feel like you could say that in PG-12
[00:15:03] Right?
[00:15:03] Olivia let us know
[00:15:04] Comment on the Spotify episode
[00:15:06] Oh my gosh
[00:15:08] This bastard is A-okay
[00:15:10] In your house
[00:15:11] What do you want from me?
[00:15:13] This is the show where we don't have to be PG?
[00:15:15] No, I know
[00:15:15] It was just brand repeating it
[00:15:18] Saying let us know if you can say this in your house
[00:15:20] Go ask your parents
[00:15:21] If they're cool with you listening to a podcast
[00:15:23] Or your guardians
[00:15:24] That says bastard
[00:15:26] Mom
[00:15:26] Dad
[00:15:27] No, you said or your guardians
[00:15:29] Oh gotcha
[00:15:29] We're not your guardians
[00:15:31] No, we're not
[00:15:31] No, we're not
[00:15:34] So Dirty Bastard is there
[00:15:36] And who else?
[00:15:36] Dirty Bastard
[00:15:37] Dirty Bastard and Frankie
[00:15:40] They are all there
[00:15:42] And they do like
[00:15:44] There's a little bit of like
[00:15:45] Oh this is actually really good
[00:15:46] Yeah
[00:15:46] Whatever, whatever
[00:15:48] It is the start of a new school year
[00:15:49] And everybody knows how electives work
[00:15:51] But I will remind you at home
[00:15:52] So when you go to school
[00:15:54] Clipboard Joel
[00:15:54] Yes, when you go to school
[00:15:56] Before we get to the clipboards
[00:15:57] I do want to point out
[00:15:58] That he gets
[00:15:59] Eddie gets teased
[00:16:00] A bunch
[00:16:01] By his friends and family
[00:16:02] Even though they all loved the meal
[00:16:04] They give him a hard time
[00:16:06] About being
[00:16:06] What are you being a girl?
[00:16:08] You gonna trade your
[00:16:09] Your baseball glove for
[00:16:11] No, your mitt for an oven mitt
[00:16:13] I didn't do it right
[00:16:14] You crushed it
[00:16:15] No, we got that
[00:16:16] Don't you do it
[00:16:16] Don't sell yourself short
[00:16:16] We pulled it straight from the movie
[00:16:18] It was really good
[00:16:19] You crushed it
[00:16:20] I'm just really upset for
[00:16:22] For Eddie there
[00:16:23] Olivia
[00:16:23] I'm upset for Olivia
[00:16:25] She has to hear this
[00:16:25] Yeah
[00:16:26] Olivia
[00:16:27] Whatever, it was really tough to watch
[00:16:28] You know
[00:16:29] Do you want to give it one more go?
[00:16:31] No, I don't
[00:16:31] I didn't know
[00:16:32] I didn't know
[00:16:33] I didn't want to rush past it
[00:16:34] If you wanted another go
[00:16:35] I'd give you another go
[00:16:36] You're the one trading your thing
[00:16:37] For this
[00:16:38] That thing's not this thing
[00:16:39] Cause I
[00:16:40] Cause I think his dad calls it a catcher's mitt
[00:16:43] For an oven mitt
[00:16:44] But Eddie's not a catcher
[00:16:45] And that's where I fumbled
[00:16:46] As I was like wait
[00:16:47] First baseman's mitt probably
[00:16:48] Maybe
[00:16:49] I don't remember that line
[00:16:50] I remember them making fun of him though
[00:16:51] Yeah
[00:16:51] And then they just give him a really hard time
[00:16:53] And it's like well you just ate
[00:16:55] Every piece of food on this table
[00:16:57] And you all loved it
[00:16:58] It was good
[00:16:59] It was amazing
[00:16:59] But yeah let's tear him down
[00:17:01] So he never does it again
[00:17:02] Quit being a girl
[00:17:03] Yeah
[00:17:04] It was really good
[00:17:05] And mom's just there like
[00:17:06] Yeah I guess girls can go
[00:17:07] Girls are the worst
[00:17:10] Mom's just like boys
[00:17:11] So yes
[00:17:12] They walk into the school
[00:17:14] The hallway
[00:17:15] And it is on the wall
[00:17:17] There is a bunch of clipboards
[00:17:18] And everybody runs
[00:17:19] And they have to sign up for what elective
[00:17:23] They are going to take
[00:17:24] Yeah
[00:17:24] And that's how it works
[00:17:25] Loser walks
[00:17:26] Loser walks
[00:17:27] There's no rhyme
[00:17:28] There's no teachers anywhere near
[00:17:29] Yes
[00:17:30] Now
[00:17:30] It's a madhouse
[00:17:31] Now his brothers gave him the inside scoop
[00:17:34] That you're gonna want to take computer science
[00:17:36] It is the blow off class
[00:17:38] Oh it's a cruise
[00:17:39] Yeah
[00:17:39] You don't have to worry about it
[00:17:40] A bunch of bros doing computer stuff
[00:17:42] And so Eddie runs to and kind of claws his way to the front
[00:17:46] And he sees computer science
[00:17:48] But what does he see right next to the computer science clipboard
[00:17:50] Home ec y'all
[00:17:51] It's home economics
[00:17:52] And he noticed as he was walking to school
[00:17:55] Into school today
[00:17:56] The new building that is there
[00:17:58] And that building is the home ec class
[00:18:00] He looks inside
[00:18:01] He sees all the ovens
[00:18:02] They just finished building that million dollar
[00:18:03] It's an amazing building
[00:18:04] And he sees like the ovens and whatnot
[00:18:06] And he starts getting really pumped about it
[00:18:08] And then Dirty Bastard and Frankie
[00:18:10] They're like
[00:18:11] Come on man
[00:18:12] We gotta sign up for the computer class
[00:18:15] So anyway
[00:18:16] He decides that he is going to
[00:18:19] You're laughing
[00:18:19] Knowing we're gonna say Dirty Bastard
[00:18:21] No less than 12 more times this episode
[00:18:23] And there's nothing we can do about it
[00:18:25] A great wrestler
[00:18:25] Set in stone
[00:18:26] And rapper for that matter
[00:18:28] I don't know if he was a great rapper
[00:18:29] I didn't really hurt him
[00:18:29] I just
[00:18:30] He was old
[00:18:30] So he does this thing
[00:18:32] Like one of the things that they do
[00:18:34] Which is really fun with the clipboards
[00:18:35] Is they put them on this thing
[00:18:37] Where if you undo it
[00:18:38] They all fall off
[00:18:40] Yeah
[00:18:40] It's fun
[00:18:41] And so he's like
[00:18:42] I'll make them all fall off
[00:18:43] And then I'll accidentally grab the home ec thing
[00:18:46] Make the guys sign it
[00:18:47] And then I can't get in trouble for this basically
[00:18:50] Right
[00:18:50] And so they all sign up for home ec
[00:18:53] It was a goof
[00:18:53] He acts like it was an accident
[00:18:55] But he's really excited about home ec
[00:18:58] And learning all the things about cooking and whatnot
[00:19:00] I mean even despite
[00:19:02] Their like outdated
[00:19:03] Like ideology that guys can't cook
[00:19:06] Would it not be fun to sit in a class
[00:19:09] And be like hey instead of taking math right now
[00:19:11] We're eating cookies
[00:19:12] Yeah
[00:19:12] Like I
[00:19:13] They're so mad about the fact that they're gonna bake cookies
[00:19:17] I knew of no dude that took home ec in my school
[00:19:21] And I always remember seeing the home ec class going
[00:19:24] Dude they're eating baked goods
[00:19:26] The problem with the home ec though
[00:19:28] I was always like jealous
[00:19:30] My friend would be like
[00:19:30] This is what we learned to do today
[00:19:31] And I was like
[00:19:32] Why did I take that class
[00:19:34] I did actual schoolwork
[00:19:35] The problem with the reason why
[00:19:37] Like my friend group didn't do it
[00:19:39] Is because it wasn't just cooking
[00:19:40] At least at our school
[00:19:41] It was also like sewing
[00:19:43] And some other various things
[00:19:44] Oh I don't want any part of that
[00:19:45] And so it was like
[00:19:46] If it was just cookies
[00:19:48] We would do it
[00:19:49] But I don't wanna learn how to sew
[00:19:50] Yeah anybody can cook
[00:19:52] Only girls can sew
[00:19:53] Yeah I don't think ours were sewing
[00:19:54] Listen anyone can do anything
[00:19:58] Boys can't sew
[00:19:59] And that's a fact
[00:20:01] That's a fact
[00:20:02] That's a fact
[00:20:03] From now until eternity
[00:20:05] I do think
[00:20:05] It wasn't called like home ec at my high school
[00:20:08] It was something in like the restaurant industry
[00:20:10] Like I can't remember what it was called
[00:20:11] Oh so it was specific
[00:20:12] But it was something
[00:20:13] Yeah it was basically like you're learning how to run
[00:20:16] In high school we did have a culinary class
[00:20:18] Yeah
[00:20:20] In middle school it was
[00:20:21] And so I think that's why I never took it
[00:20:22] Because I was like
[00:20:22] Oh I'm not gonna be running a restaurant
[00:20:24] Yeah
[00:20:24] And then I was like oh wait
[00:20:25] It's just basically like better home ec
[00:20:28] I could have taken this class
[00:20:29] Yeah
[00:20:30] And so
[00:20:32] Would have loved to be making cookies
[00:20:33] He's acting like he doesn't wanna be there
[00:20:34] But he's secretly pumped
[00:20:35] Especially when he finds out
[00:20:37] That there is a million dollar scholarship cook off
[00:20:39] That is happening
[00:20:41] That you can enter to be accepted to compete
[00:20:45] You have to create an original recipe and submit it
[00:20:49] That's right
[00:20:49] And then based on the original recipe
[00:20:51] They'll narrow down the finalists
[00:20:53] That's right
[00:20:53] And then you have to mail the food in too
[00:20:55] Not just the recipe right
[00:20:57] Apparently
[00:20:57] You have to mail the actual food in the
[00:20:59] I don't know
[00:21:00] Eddie does
[00:21:01] Eddie mail a sauce bucket
[00:21:02] But what's her name I don't feel like does
[00:21:04] She's like
[00:21:05] Because hers was like a cake
[00:21:06] Right
[00:21:06] You're talking about my girl Bridget
[00:21:08] Bridget like gives her
[00:21:09] Gives the home ec teacher the recipe
[00:21:11] And is like make sure that the blah blah blah
[00:21:13] I don't know
[00:21:14] Eddie went above and beyond
[00:21:15] I think he said I'm worried that the sauce
[00:21:18] Isn't gonna speak for itself with words
[00:21:20] And so I have to
[00:21:20] I don't know
[00:21:21] Well he didn't know that he had to write the recipe down
[00:21:24] That's right
[00:21:24] He was ready to mail it off
[00:21:25] And he happens to run into Bridget asking about her recipe
[00:21:29] And she's like yeah you have to write the recipe down
[00:21:31] That's true it's a good point
[00:21:32] Maybe he doesn't
[00:21:33] Ultimately maybe he
[00:21:33] He just sent the sauce in so people could taste how good it was
[00:21:36] That's right
[00:21:36] And then we never hear about that sauce again
[00:21:38] Right
[00:21:39] It doesn't come back
[00:21:40] Yeah aside from
[00:21:41] Some blue sauce it's done
[00:21:42] Now
[00:21:42] It's like barbecue sauce but better
[00:21:44] Sorry I've jumped forward a little bit about the sauce
[00:21:46] Okay
[00:21:47] The sauce is
[00:21:48] Oh how did we get to the sauce
[00:21:50] Originates
[00:21:51] From a food fight
[00:21:52] Classic food fight
[00:21:52] There's a food fight
[00:21:53] One of two food fights in this movie if you're counting
[00:21:56] And it's a food fight in Homeac
[00:21:59] Because he kind of wants to take attention off of
[00:22:02] The fact that he's interested in cooking
[00:22:04] Like he asks a question
[00:22:05] And his buddies are like
[00:22:05] You were giving
[00:22:06] He was like what
[00:22:07] And then it becomes a food fight
[00:22:08] It was like a
[00:22:10] Me starting a food fight
[00:22:12] Would be better than me dealing with
[00:22:14] Yeah
[00:22:15] The potential of me liking cooking
[00:22:16] Yeah
[00:22:17] And so a food fight breaks out
[00:22:18] It is an absolute mess
[00:22:20] But in all of this mess
[00:22:21] Somehow
[00:22:22] Don't ask
[00:22:23] Doesn't matter
[00:22:24] A giant bowl is now full of this purple goo
[00:22:28] Purple goo
[00:22:29] And our guy
[00:22:30] Not dirty not bastard
[00:22:32] Frankie
[00:22:33] Being Frankie
[00:22:34] The Frankie
[00:22:35] Yes
[00:22:36] Is bold enough
[00:22:38] Is wild enough
[00:22:38] To eat the goo
[00:22:40] And is like this stuff is amazing
[00:22:42] And so Eddie now is like I want to figure out how to make this
[00:22:46] So he like
[00:22:47] He goes home and reverse engineers it
[00:22:49] Yeah
[00:22:49] Reverse engineers the recipe
[00:22:50] That's right
[00:22:51] And he is going to submit
[00:22:51] Eddie's commitment to baking at midnight in the kitchen
[00:22:54] And making an absolute mess of the entire kitchen
[00:22:58] The ceiling, the floor, the dog
[00:23:00] The dog
[00:23:00] And then having the kitchen spotless
[00:23:02] And nobody in the house waking up
[00:23:04] It's great
[00:23:05] It's impressive
[00:23:06] It's impressive
[00:23:06] Yeah
[00:23:07] I don't
[00:23:08] I would never clean that well
[00:23:10] And I also am sure we're going to talk more about Bridget
[00:23:12] But I just want you to put yourself in Bridget's shoes
[00:23:15] She loves cooking
[00:23:17] She's devoted most of her free extracurricular time to cooking
[00:23:20] This guy stumbles into a cereal fried chicken recipe
[00:23:23] And shows up and because of a food fight
[00:23:26] Has a possibly million dollar dish by accident
[00:23:31] So justice for Bridget
[00:23:33] Early often
[00:23:34] Just letting you know
[00:23:35] Early often
[00:23:36] Yeah, Bridget is not afraid
[00:23:38] She comes in
[00:23:39] She's got her own cooking utensils
[00:23:41] That's right
[00:23:41] She is here because she loves home acts
[00:23:43] She cares
[00:23:44] She loves cooking and baking
[00:23:45] And they all tease her
[00:23:47] And she's just like
[00:23:48] I'm good at this
[00:23:49] Like I don't care what you think of me
[00:23:51] Yeah
[00:23:52] Bridget's a hero
[00:23:52] And so
[00:23:54] He knows that he wants to submit the sauce as his recipe
[00:23:59] He finds out that he has to actually submit the written recipe
[00:24:02] Per Bridget letting him know
[00:24:05] And so he runs home
[00:24:05] And that is when his mom finds him getting ready to try to bake it so he can write down the recipe
[00:24:12] And he finally comes clean
[00:24:13] Hey, I've got some news
[00:24:15] I am interested in baking
[00:24:18] And mom is understanding
[00:24:21] She's so supportive
[00:24:22] Mom is like
[00:24:22] Mom is so supportive
[00:24:23] Okay, well then let's do it
[00:24:24] That's right
[00:24:25] I will work with you and we will do this
[00:24:26] So, you know, some time passes
[00:24:30] And Eddie, his teacher, one day makes an announcement to the entire class
[00:24:33] That Bridget has made it into the Million Dollar Cook-off
[00:24:37] But also, Eddie
[00:24:40] And his friend, specifically DB
[00:24:45] As I'll call him in this case
[00:24:46] I don't want anybody
[00:24:47] Dirty bastard
[00:24:50] Is really like
[00:24:51] What, dude?
[00:24:52] You kidding me right now?
[00:24:53] One of those things
[00:24:54] And he's like
[00:24:55] It's a joke
[00:24:56] Mom, Dad, it's a joke
[00:24:59] It's a joke
[00:25:07] Wait, that's what I entered
[00:25:08] Yeah, I sent it in
[00:25:10] It was a big goof
[00:25:11] It was a goof
[00:25:12] It was a goof
[00:25:12] So funny
[00:25:13] I spent all this time figuring out an exact recipe
[00:25:16] Hilarious, right?
[00:25:17] Yes
[00:25:17] And so they kind of are like
[00:25:20] Okay, whatever
[00:25:21] He gets home and his dad has found out
[00:25:25] The teacher called
[00:25:26] Basically, yes
[00:25:26] And Dad is really unhappy about this
[00:25:28] He's like, you have one thing
[00:25:30] It's baseball
[00:25:31] You're a baseball boy
[00:25:32] You know, cooking's for girls
[00:25:33] Don't be a little girl
[00:25:35] Stuff like that
[00:25:36] Mom comes in
[00:25:37] And Mom is like
[00:25:38] Oh, you won
[00:25:39] That's so amazing
[00:25:40] And Dad gets hurt about that
[00:25:42] And all this stuff
[00:25:43] So it's like, whatever
[00:25:44] You think maybe people
[00:25:46] Are gonna be happy for him or whatever
[00:25:48] No, they're not
[00:25:49] He walks through school
[00:25:50] They announce it to the entire school
[00:25:53] He begins to be teased and bullied by everybody
[00:25:58] Because of the fact that he likes cooking
[00:26:00] But he decides, you know what?
[00:26:02] Forget that
[00:26:03] I am going to dive head first into this
[00:26:06] He shows up to the teacher's class
[00:26:11] After school to learn more about cooking
[00:26:14] It's just him, Bridget, the teacher
[00:26:16] Kind of like, hey, let's work on your skills
[00:26:19] To get you the best shape
[00:26:21] They're learning how to julienne
[00:26:22] And how to chop
[00:26:23] And how to fold in the cheese
[00:26:25] You gotta fold that cheese in
[00:26:26] You gotta fold that cheese in
[00:26:28] You have to fold it in
[00:26:30] Yes, fold it
[00:26:31] Fold it
[00:26:33] It's at this point
[00:26:34] He starts to blow off his buddies
[00:26:37] When they want to throw the old pigskin baseball
[00:26:41] It's a baseball that's made out of pigskin
[00:26:42] The old pigskin baseball
[00:26:43] You know the one
[00:26:44] That's right
[00:26:45] And that's how you can tell
[00:26:46] That Brynn loves tossing the old pigskin
[00:26:49] I love tossing the old pigskin
[00:26:50] The old pigskin baseball
[00:26:51] He is trying to do his best though
[00:26:54] To like, still be there present for his team
[00:26:57] And also
[00:26:57] But he finds more and more
[00:27:00] His mind going to cooking
[00:27:01] He begins to mess up some
[00:27:04] He's taking his foot off the base
[00:27:08] And whatnot
[00:27:09] And people are noticing
[00:27:10] That you can't do both things
[00:27:13] You can't
[00:27:14] Can't
[00:27:14] It affects your game
[00:27:15] You either are gonna be a baseball player
[00:27:18] Or you are gonna be
[00:27:20] You can't do cooking in baseball
[00:27:22] Yes
[00:27:23] And all of it comes to a head
[00:27:25] When he finds out
[00:27:26] That the baseball championship fun times
[00:27:31] Take place the same exact time and day
[00:27:34] As the cook-off
[00:27:36] Oh my gosh
[00:27:37] They can play the Eagles in the championship game
[00:27:40] The cook-off for
[00:27:41] And I want to make sure I get this trade
[00:27:42] A million dollars in scholarships
[00:27:45] Is the same time
[00:27:46] So
[00:27:47] Two really great options here for old Ed Drow
[00:27:49] I mean he can either play in a little league baseball game
[00:27:53] Or
[00:27:54] He can cook for
[00:27:56] Do the thing he loves
[00:27:57] For one million dollars
[00:28:00] That's right
[00:28:01] I don't think you understand Dan
[00:28:02] How often opportunities to win a million dollars come around
[00:28:06] They're pretty regular
[00:28:07] You're right
[00:28:07] I'm sorry
[00:28:08] And baseball with your friends is a once in a lifetime opportunity
[00:28:11] That's right
[00:28:12] That's right
[00:28:12] You'll never get a chance again to be bad at baseball
[00:28:15] So
[00:28:16] Yeah
[00:28:17] But what if you could do both?
[00:28:18] What if you could turn back time
[00:28:20] And you could slow it down
[00:28:21] To the good old days
[00:28:22] To where you could do both at the same time
[00:28:26] That's
[00:28:27] Come on
[00:28:28] That's a lot
[00:28:29] That's a lot to take in
[00:28:30] That's a lot to take in
[00:28:30] So what does he do brain?
[00:28:31] Well he decides that he's gonna do baseball
[00:28:34] But before he can do that
[00:28:36] He has to properly say goodbye to cooking
[00:28:38] Yes
[00:28:38] So he goes by the set
[00:28:39] Sees Bobby Flay
[00:28:41] I remember the stupid things
[00:28:42] Bobby Flay's like
[00:28:42] Hey man
[00:28:43] You better go put on your cooking
[00:28:45] Cooking attire
[00:28:46] Cooking gear
[00:28:47] He's like I'm not staying man
[00:28:49] I got baseball
[00:28:51] Championships
[00:28:51] Pretty big deal down there
[00:28:53] You know
[00:28:54] Selling lots of tickets
[00:28:54] Ticket guy
[00:28:55] Sold out is what he said
[00:28:56] And so
[00:28:58] Bobby Flay's like
[00:28:59] Alright man whatever
[00:28:59] Best of luck to you
[00:29:00] He goes to the game
[00:29:02] And
[00:29:03] Not only is he kind of out of it
[00:29:05] He's not swinging
[00:29:07] He's taking his foot off the bag
[00:29:08] All this stuff
[00:29:09] But the team's also not
[00:29:12] They're locked into the cooking
[00:29:13] Yeah because
[00:29:14] They give him so much S word
[00:29:17] For not
[00:29:18] For wanting to cook
[00:29:19] And then at the game
[00:29:20] The championship game
[00:29:22] They get a little portable TV
[00:29:23] And they're watching the cooking thing
[00:29:25] That's right
[00:29:26] So ultimately his friends kind of come around
[00:29:29] And they're like
[00:29:30] Go buddy
[00:29:31] Go
[00:29:31] You should go and cook
[00:29:33] They do it in a really nice
[00:29:33] And supportive way right
[00:29:35] I mean they basically
[00:29:36] Well a dirty bastard gets up there
[00:29:37] And gives him a hard time
[00:29:38] Yeah
[00:29:38] And tells him he's a terrible human being
[00:29:40] And what do you want to take all the credit here for
[00:29:42] It would have been a great moment
[00:29:44] For
[00:29:45] DB to be like
[00:29:46] Hey bud
[00:29:47] Call him by his name
[00:29:47] I realize
[00:29:49] DB
[00:29:50] Come on
[00:29:51] I will not
[00:29:51] Call him by his name
[00:29:52] I'm not going to
[00:29:53] I can't
[00:29:54] Call the child a dirty bastard
[00:29:55] I can't do it
[00:29:56] Aaron
[00:29:56] It's not a child anymore
[00:29:57] Come on
[00:29:58] Call the kid a dirty bastard
[00:29:59] He needs to tell his friend
[00:30:01] To go pursue his passion
[00:30:02] And instead
[00:30:04] Stop it
[00:30:05] I don't want to say it
[00:30:06] It is
[00:30:07] It is
[00:30:08] He just tells his friend
[00:30:09] He's like hey
[00:30:09] We
[00:30:12] Jerk
[00:30:12] Yeah
[00:30:15] And he's just like we can do this without you
[00:30:18] So go on
[00:30:19] Get
[00:30:19] Go on get
[00:30:20] It is 100% how
[00:30:21] And then they all start throwing their gloves at him
[00:30:23] And he's like thanks guys
[00:30:25] Love you
[00:30:26] It is 100% how a 12 year old boy would tell the other 12 year old boy to go pursue his dreams
[00:30:30] By being like
[00:30:31] If his dreams weren't mainly
[00:30:32] That's right
[00:30:32] That's right
[00:30:33] Get out of here man
[00:30:34] We don't even need you
[00:30:36] And then it's like a wink
[00:30:37] And it's like you got this
[00:30:38] One of those things
[00:30:38] And so him and his mom leave and Eddie's dad is frustrated and mad not only because he's leaving and he's not really sure how to feel about that but also now that Eddie is on the TV the team is even less locked in on what's going in
[00:30:58] They know the order in which they're batting
[00:31:00] They're just going up willy nilly
[00:31:02] And he overhears that Eddie
[00:31:04] Not only did he show up late to the competition an hour late in fact
[00:31:07] But he doesn't have anybody helping him because his mom doesn't actually know how to cook
[00:31:11] We found that out
[00:31:12] She's like I can't do this
[00:31:13] She's in the stands like
[00:31:15] Maybe she didn't know
[00:31:16] Maybe she didn't know
[00:31:17] She just has been out of it
[00:31:18] She's been out of it
[00:31:19] And so finally Eddie's dad realizes you know what I need to be there for my son and support him
[00:31:26] So he can't just leave either
[00:31:28] He has to go and verbally assault the umpire
[00:31:33] And again fair
[00:31:34] It's baseball
[00:31:35] It's what we do
[00:31:37] It's what we do
[00:31:37] It's what we do
[00:31:37] We just yell at umpires
[00:31:39] Whether they deserve it or not
[00:31:40] And he's like you say one more thing and you're out of here
[00:31:42] And so he kicks a bunch of dirt on the umpire's shoes
[00:31:44] Got him
[00:31:45] And so he shows up and he begins to help
[00:31:48] And
[00:31:49] He begins to crack eggs one handed like a pro
[00:31:52] Like he's done it his whole life
[00:31:53] Like a girl
[00:31:54] Uh and so that's happening
[00:31:56] The big takeaway is is that guys don't need any practice to be good at cooking
[00:32:00] That's right
[00:32:00] They just show up and they're good at it
[00:32:01] Yeah if we really wanted to
[00:32:03] Yeah you know
[00:32:04] They have all the ability
[00:32:05] They don't need to practice
[00:32:06] That's the big takeaway from Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-off
[00:32:09] That's the one I took away
[00:32:10] Eddie's dad thinks cooking's for girls
[00:32:11] And shows up and he's freaking Iron Chef Michael Simon
[00:32:14] Crazy
[00:32:15] Which brings me to my hot dogs that I've brought in
[00:32:19] To compete with Aaron's hot dogs
[00:32:21] It's the great hot dog championship
[00:32:23] Alright where are they at?
[00:32:24] Where are they at?
[00:32:26] Ate them all
[00:32:26] So
[00:32:28] Dirty bastard
[00:32:29] Hey hey hey
[00:32:30] It's not me
[00:32:31] It's not me
[00:32:32] It's the character
[00:32:33] So uh that's going on
[00:32:36] The baseball game
[00:32:37] If you put your initials together
[00:32:38] D&B
[00:32:39] Together
[00:32:39] That's true
[00:32:41] D&B
[00:32:42] D&B
[00:32:42] It's the game
[00:32:42] D&B
[00:32:43] D&B
[00:32:56] Pick some eggs and make some chat con
[00:32:59] Bobby play over there
[00:33:01] Here
[00:33:02] In that direction
[00:33:03] Um
[00:33:04] The game's still going on
[00:33:06] Yeah it is
[00:33:06] And it turns out they actually didn't need Eddie
[00:33:08] Or the coach
[00:33:09] Or the coach
[00:33:10] Backup coach is crushing it
[00:33:11] And uh they end up winning
[00:33:13] In a I don't even
[00:33:15] We don't even need to break it down
[00:33:16] Yeah the final hit of the game
[00:33:17] Defies all
[00:33:19] I don't want to talk about it
[00:33:20] Science and logic
[00:33:20] And rules of baseball
[00:33:22] If someone that loves baseball and cooking
[00:33:23] I don't want any part of that
[00:33:25] The baseball discussion
[00:33:26] Uh
[00:33:26] Back at the competition
[00:33:28] Uh they are up against it literally
[00:33:30] Uh but they finish their dish just in time
[00:33:33] They turn it in
[00:33:34] And uh Eddie loses
[00:33:37] Eddie loses to Bridget
[00:33:39] Bridget
[00:33:39] Bridget wins
[00:33:40] Yes he should
[00:33:41] Um but the the rest of the team shows up
[00:33:45] And they still cheer for him
[00:33:47] We get this nice teachable moment
[00:33:49] His friend Frankie is all upset
[00:33:51] Like he's the best chef here
[00:33:53] Why didn't he win
[00:33:54] And the one time Bobby Flay was a decent human being in my eyes
[00:33:58] He looks at Eddie and he goes see
[00:34:00] He is a winner
[00:34:01] He is a winner
[00:34:02] And for those of you that caught that shade
[00:34:04] Uh it was very like thinly veiled
[00:34:08] Aaron uh Aaron Shay has a vendetta against Bobby Flay
[00:34:12] For something that he didn't do at all
[00:34:14] He didn't do it I'm sure he's a great guy
[00:34:16] I don't know if we should say that
[00:34:18] He's a great TV person
[00:34:19] We don't know anything about him
[00:34:21] Yeah
[00:34:22] Money changes people
[00:34:23] That's right
[00:34:23] That's all I'm saying
[00:34:24] Yeah no my first job in high school was I worked at Kohl's
[00:34:28] He had a line of cookware at Kohl's
[00:34:30] I had to hear his throw down with Bobby Flay
[00:34:34] Once every 15 minutes for four years
[00:34:36] You hate it when somebody personally rubs their success in your face like Bobby Flay did
[00:34:41] No
[00:34:41] He showed up every day and he said I'm Bobby Flay
[00:34:44] It's a throw down
[00:34:45] If he had shown up once a day and rubbed it in my face I'd be like good for you Bobby
[00:34:49] But like four times in Massachusetts
[00:34:52] Four times an hour I had to hear the little trailer for throw down with Bobby Flay
[00:34:58] And she literally that was 16 years ago and she hasn't forgiven
[00:35:02] I'm still mad about it
[00:35:03] I hear Bobby Flay's name and I'm like no
[00:35:06] Speaking of forgiveness though Eddie does forgive his dad
[00:35:09] In the spirit of the resurrection
[00:35:10] They have a wonderful heart to heart where there's lots of baseball analogies thrown around
[00:35:16] But ultimately the message here is you can do whatever you put your mind to
[00:35:19] And I am your dad and I will support you
[00:35:22] And all that good stuff
[00:35:24] Eddie and his friend go to celebrate
[00:35:26] And Bridget is sad because no one cares that she won
[00:35:31] And Eddie says come on Bridget
[00:35:33] Come celebrate with us
[00:35:35] And they head off together
[00:35:37] And that was Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off
[00:35:42] We're gonna take a break
[00:35:43] We're gonna come back
[00:35:43] We're gonna share our thoughts in this movie
[00:35:45] Throw it in our rank
[00:35:46] And here on
[00:35:49] Decome Descendants
[00:35:50] Decome Descendants
[00:35:54] Bumfly sucks
[00:35:55] And that
[00:35:56] Oh it's perfect
[00:35:57] That's a great character
[00:36:06] Dirty bastard
[00:36:07] I'm Aaron
[00:36:08] I'm Dan
[00:36:09] I'm Britt
[00:36:09] We're talking about Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off
[00:36:12] Take it as a Tay
[00:36:12] It is
[00:36:15] It's time for Overtime
[00:36:16] Honk honk
[00:36:17] It's time for Overtime
[00:36:18] It's where we share how this movie aired over time
[00:36:21] I have some Letterboxd reviews if you want it
[00:36:23] Yeah
[00:36:24] Three and a half stars from Sienna
[00:36:26] This is for you Aaron
[00:36:28] Oh
[00:36:29] Why am I feeling so wrong?
[00:36:32] My head and neck game but my heart's in food
[00:36:35] Nat says three stars
[00:36:37] Breaking gender barriers
[00:36:38] One weird purple sauce at a time
[00:36:41] Caroline says two stars
[00:36:43] Troy Bolton is quaking
[00:36:45] Antonio says
[00:36:47] Furthering my theory that D-combs are secretly pro-LGBTQ movies
[00:36:51] But they were too afraid to make movies about being gay
[00:36:54] So they made it about being a chef instead
[00:36:56] Alright so this guy is awful
[00:36:58] But also secretly
[00:36:59] Like they're making the movies they're allowed to make
[00:37:01] To make people feel comfortable with themselves
[00:37:03] I think that that's what he's saying
[00:37:06] Oh I thought he was doing a
[00:37:07] No they're too afraid to do it
[00:37:09] So this is how they're gonna do it
[00:37:11] Instead of Eddie liking boys
[00:37:13] Eddie likes cooking
[00:37:14] They like his shit
[00:37:18] It's cooking
[00:37:19] And his cooking is
[00:37:19] Still
[00:37:21] Yeah
[00:37:21] Yeah
[00:37:22] And that's a problem
[00:37:23] Like his
[00:37:24] I heard that review and I thought
[00:37:26] This guy's an a-hole
[00:37:26] No I thought
[00:37:29] They're afraid to do this thing
[00:37:31] And so what's the everybody
[00:37:32] What's a way that we can
[00:37:33] Do this thing
[00:37:35] And it's like
[00:37:36] Hey here we go
[00:37:36] I don't know
[00:37:37] I don't know
[00:37:37] Maybe you're right
[00:37:38] Could go away
[00:37:38] Victoria says
[00:37:39] Hey let us know Antonio
[00:37:40] I mean we could dive into why D.B. was really upset
[00:37:42] Yeah
[00:37:43] Yeah we certainly could
[00:37:45] Seem to be protesting quite a bit
[00:37:49] Landon says two and a half stars
[00:37:51] Is D.B.
[00:37:52] Every problem in this movie
[00:37:54] Every problem in this movie
[00:37:55] What's his name though?
[00:37:57] David
[00:37:58] Oh
[00:37:58] It's not David
[00:37:59] Brandon the synopsis told me it was David
[00:38:02] That's incorrect
[00:38:03] Okay
[00:38:03] He changed it
[00:38:04] Oh well
[00:38:04] He didn't tell me about it
[00:38:06] To dirty
[00:38:08] Bastard
[00:38:09] Landon says two and a half stars
[00:38:11] Every problem in this movie
[00:38:11] Could be solved if Eddie just said
[00:38:13] Yeah so
[00:38:15] And Adam says
[00:38:16] It's a big ass for a middle schooler by the way
[00:38:17] I know
[00:38:18] To just brush off everyone
[00:38:19] Four and a half stars
[00:38:22] Eddie walked so that Troy Bolton could sing
[00:38:25] That's true
[00:38:26] Listen
[00:38:27] The parallels between those two movies
[00:38:29] You don't want to hear my hot tag on those two movies
[00:38:31] Because you'll both be mad at me
[00:38:32] It's time to break down
[00:38:33] Eddie's Million Dollar Cookup
[00:38:34] Can we tell her about all over Zac Efron everyday?
[00:38:36] Share our thoughts on it
[00:38:38] What did you think about this movie Erin?
[00:38:42] Yeah I am going to respond to Dan's comment and say he's right
[00:38:46] Oh really?
[00:38:48] This movie I think does the concept that High School Musical is going for
[00:38:53] It does it better
[00:38:54] In my opinion
[00:38:56] I still would choose High School Musical over this
[00:38:58] Just because of nostalgia
[00:39:00] Because of the music
[00:39:01] Yeah
[00:39:01] Anything that I can sing along to is going to win over anything else
[00:39:07] Except with High Society and Philadelphia Story
[00:39:09] Of course
[00:39:10] Alonzo if you're listening
[00:39:12] I'm not choosing High Society
[00:39:14] Anyway
[00:39:16] Yeah I really liked
[00:39:19] I mean it frustrated me when Eddie kept getting all this push back on him just enjoying cooking
[00:39:25] But there are several moments in this movie where there is push back from the people who are being made fun of
[00:39:35] The dad you know gives Eddie at home a really hard time about cooking
[00:39:39] But then even on the baseball team there are two girls on the team
[00:39:43] And you know he's always saying like you know this other kid
[00:39:46] Oh he runs like a girl
[00:39:47] He catches like a girl
[00:39:48] Or this team is really easy to beat
[00:39:51] Their head coach is a nurse
[00:39:53] And there's this scene where finally like the team has kind of had enough
[00:39:55] And one of the girls like well I can run good and I can run bad
[00:39:59] Like why is me running like a girl mean that it's bad
[00:40:03] Like I know I'm not a good runner but it's not because I'm a girl
[00:40:06] It's because I'm uncoordinated
[00:40:08] You know and the other girls like why do I always have to be one of the guys
[00:40:11] Like I just want to be part of the team and then we find out that other people on the team like their parents are nurses
[00:40:16] Their dads are nurses
[00:40:17] And that's kind of like and so there's this push back where it's like hey you've been saying all this to us and it's not okay
[00:40:22] And I really liked that in 2003 we got this some push back there
[00:40:27] There is some push back at other times when it's like no this is something that I like
[00:40:31] You know and the dad kind of realizes
[00:40:34] I should be here to support you like you know he watches
[00:40:38] Hannah's mom has thought she's been a cheerleader this whole time
[00:40:40] Hannah's actually on the team
[00:40:41] She finds out her daughter is on the baseball team and she's like cool we'll talk about it later
[00:40:46] But like whatever makes you happy I'm here for and immediately switches into like supportive parent mode
[00:40:51] And the dad's like huh
[00:40:53] That's interesting how you just supported your child when it wasn't what you wanted
[00:40:59] And so that's just there's just a lot of that like that doesn't happen in high school musical where that you know
[00:41:04] Troy only really gets accepted because he's good at
[00:41:08] Basketball still on the forefront
[00:41:10] Well, he's like yeah, he's still a star basketball player, but he also gets the lead in the play and so it's like
[00:41:15] And he still wins the championship
[00:41:16] He gets it all
[00:41:17] That's right
[00:41:18] And he's accepted because he did it really well where this is really nice where it's like hey I really loved this thing
[00:41:23] And I loved cooking and nobody really believed in me, but I was my passion and I wanted to pursue it and I didn't win
[00:41:29] But it was okay
[00:41:30] Like I had fun and it's still something that I'm gonna pursue even if it's not professionally or
[00:41:36] You know forever
[00:41:37] So yeah, this is a movie. I don't think I loved as a kid because I
[00:41:44] Probably as a kid thought it was too many baseball scenes
[00:41:47] How dare you
[00:41:48] Sorry
[00:41:49] Shout out to the yankees in there too. So I was probably like
[00:41:52] Yeah, right
[00:41:53] But I really enjoyed watching it today
[00:41:56] I think it was a really good movie
[00:41:57] It had some really good messages in it
[00:41:59] Um, and it made me want to go home and bake something
[00:42:02] There you go
[00:42:04] I love this movie a lot
[00:42:06] I loved it then I loved it now
[00:42:08] It's a movie that I have watched many many times
[00:42:12] I think this movie slaps
[00:42:14] And to your point there's obviously a comparison to High School Musical
[00:42:16] I think what High School Musical has going for it is musical
[00:42:19] Yes
[00:42:20] If this movie had songs, you kidding me right now?
[00:42:24] But there is no denying
[00:42:26] I think I would have honestly liked it less
[00:42:28] Really?
[00:42:29] I think it would have taken away
[00:42:30] Like they have some really good conversations
[00:42:32] Yeah, but you haven't heard the bops that I've come up with for this movie
[00:42:35] Okay, well we'll talk after
[00:42:37] Bop to the top?
[00:42:38] Bop, bop, bop, bop to the top
[00:42:40] We'll talk after recording
[00:42:41] High School Musical has songs that are real, real, real, real catchy
[00:42:48] And so they have that going for them
[00:42:50] But this movie is great
[00:42:51] And this lead is fantastic
[00:42:54] Oh, the scene where he doesn't win
[00:42:56] And he just has like his eyes are just red
[00:42:59] It's so good
[00:43:02] Put him and Kimberly J. Brown in a movie
[00:43:04] Oh my gosh
[00:43:05] Can you believe it?
[00:43:06] Stop selling
[00:43:06] Or can you imagine?
[00:43:07] Cause I can't believe it cause it didn't happen
[00:43:09] Yeah, this movie slaps
[00:43:11] It is, it's been, when Disney Plus came out
[00:43:15] And they were like, we're gonna have all the D-coms on it
[00:43:16] This was one of the ones that I was most excited to go back and watch
[00:43:19] Cause it had been so long
[00:43:21] I think I watched it too when Disney Plus came out
[00:43:23] I love this movie
[00:43:24] I think that it slaps
[00:43:25] And it was great to circle back to it
[00:43:27] Dano?
[00:43:27] Yeah, well not as maybe successful across the board
[00:43:30] As like Motocross is
[00:43:32] At being inspirational
[00:43:33] This movie is incredibly well done
[00:43:38] For a movie about breaking stereotypes
[00:43:41] In a very modern functional way
[00:43:43] That I think kids in 2003
[00:43:45] I wish I'd have seen this movie
[00:43:47] I said while we were watching this movie
[00:43:48] I didn't find out
[00:43:50] Until I was probably near 30 years old
[00:43:52] That I enjoy cooking
[00:43:54] Like, and I'm 41 right now
[00:43:56] And I played five sports in high school
[00:43:58] And if I could go back and do it again
[00:44:00] I have very few regrets about high school
[00:44:02] But one of them is
[00:44:02] Maybe I didn't have to play five sports
[00:44:04] Maybe I could play two or three sports
[00:44:06] And do some other things
[00:44:08] And there would have been no worlds
[00:44:11] In my household
[00:44:12] And my parents weren't like
[00:44:13] You're a guy, you can't cook
[00:44:14] They never said that
[00:44:14] But, my dad never cooked
[00:44:16] My brother never cooked
[00:44:17] We didn't do that
[00:44:19] Because that's not what we were supposed to do
[00:44:21] And so, this movie can be very like
[00:44:25] Quietly inspirational, I think
[00:44:27] And Tyler Ball is fantastic in this movie
[00:44:30] He is, what he's doing in his performance
[00:44:34] Is very, very difficult
[00:44:36] I don't
[00:44:37] I say this knowing that
[00:44:38] Like, what Zac Efron does
[00:44:40] In High School Musical
[00:44:40] Is fairly iconic
[00:44:41] Because of all the dance moves
[00:44:43] But, from a pure acting
[00:44:46] Like, pure character stuff
[00:44:47] What this guy's doing
[00:44:49] Is as good a male performance
[00:44:51] As we've seen in one of these movies
[00:44:52] And I've seen
[00:44:54] Including High School Musical
[00:44:55] I think he's the star of the show
[00:44:57] I think the baseball side of it isn't great
[00:44:59] I think it's very inconsistent
[00:45:01] The baseball side of it is very inconsistent
[00:45:03] And I would have much preferred
[00:45:05] To see everyone lose
[00:45:06] I know that sounds like a terrible thing
[00:45:07] In a Disney movie
[00:45:08] But, he should have just gone
[00:45:11] To this cooking thing
[00:45:11] And still lost to Bridget
[00:45:13] I think that was the best way
[00:45:14] To go about this
[00:45:15] But, I love the fact that
[00:45:18] He, like, everyone in this movie
[00:45:22] I'm gonna make sure
[00:45:23] Before I go any further
[00:45:24] Everyone in this movie
[00:45:25] Dirty Bastard?
[00:45:26] Yeah, including Dirty Bastard
[00:45:27] For sure
[00:45:28] Everyone in this movie
[00:45:29] Including Bridget to some extent
[00:45:30] Needs to change their perspective
[00:45:35] And how they treat people
[00:45:36] Even the mom
[00:45:37] Who's silent at first
[00:45:39] When he gets ragged on
[00:45:40] To standing up for him
[00:45:41] The dad
[00:45:42] The girl on the baseball team
[00:45:43] Who's scared to tell her mom
[00:45:44] Every single person in this movie
[00:45:47] Needs to change their perspective
[00:45:50] Learn and treat people
[00:45:52] With more kindness and more respect
[00:45:53] And more equality and compassion
[00:45:54] That is, like, unbelievable
[00:45:57] Unbelievable for an 83-minute Disney movie
[00:45:59] I don't know if I enjoyed it as much
[00:46:01] As all the other ones
[00:46:02] But, boy howdy if that's not impressive
[00:46:04] And I can't believe that you're
[00:46:06] They didn't have just bad guy
[00:46:08] Good guy
[00:46:09] They had a bunch of people
[00:46:10] Who had preconceived notions
[00:46:11] And the thing is this
[00:46:12] Is if you're willing to fail forward
[00:46:14] And you're willing to go
[00:46:15] My preconceived notions were wrong
[00:46:16] I have to do that
[00:46:18] Almost every day of my life
[00:46:19] And continue to do it
[00:46:20] And if you're willing to do that
[00:46:22] Then the world can be a better place
[00:46:24] And this movie somehow
[00:46:25] Crafts a believable world
[00:46:27] Where that happens
[00:46:28] And that did my heart some good
[00:46:30] So I was thrilled
[00:46:31] This movie's great
[00:46:33] I think that's why
[00:46:34] The review that you thought was negative
[00:46:37] Because every time there's a movie like this
[00:46:40] With a DCOM
[00:46:40] There are so many letterbox reviews
[00:46:43] About this being an iconic gay storyline
[00:46:46] That they couldn't tell
[00:46:47] And so this idea
[00:46:49] Equating cooking with gay
[00:46:50] I understand being like a coded thing
[00:46:53] But also I hate that
[00:46:54] Because the point of the movie is
[00:46:55] Is you can be masculine
[00:46:56] And you can be
[00:46:58] Yeah, but it's just another thing
[00:46:59] Where I can't come out and say
[00:47:01] That I like cooking
[00:47:02] Yeah
[00:47:02] Because of this
[00:47:03] And then by the time
[00:47:04] You finally come out and you say it
[00:47:06] I think
[00:47:07] I literally think it could go either way
[00:47:09] Sure
[00:47:09] I really do
[00:47:09] There's only one way to find out
[00:47:10] Antonio let us know
[00:47:11] Antonio shout out a letterbox
[00:47:13] I know you're listening
[00:47:14] But I think it's because of
[00:47:15] How many letterbox reviews I read
[00:47:17] That I took it that way
[00:47:19] Fair
[00:47:19] More than fair
[00:47:20] I'm really in the weeds
[00:47:21] I'm in the weeds of the letterbox reviews
[00:47:23] And I do
[00:47:24] I mean I think
[00:47:26] I understand the ending
[00:47:27] Where both lose
[00:47:29] The groundhogs lose
[00:47:30] But I do think it was important
[00:47:34] For the growth of those characters
[00:47:35] To win without Eddie
[00:47:37] Yeah
[00:47:38] Like they were losing
[00:47:38] They were down
[00:47:39] To Dirty Bastard's point
[00:47:41] We don't need you
[00:47:41] Like and it was just like hey
[00:47:43] You know when they said like
[00:47:47] I mean could they have just
[00:47:49] Caught up and maybe still lost
[00:47:51] By one
[00:47:51] Sure but I think it was important
[00:47:53] To see them like
[00:47:54] Oh we actually don't need Eddie
[00:47:55] Like we can come together
[00:47:56] As a team and rely on ourselves
[00:47:58] And I think that was a nice
[00:47:59] Message for them
[00:48:01] And then we still get
[00:48:02] Eddie crying
[00:48:03] Maybe he could have hit a home run
[00:48:04] Though
[00:48:05] Here's what I like
[00:48:06] Yeah
[00:48:06] I like that if Eddie
[00:48:08] Doesn't play in the game at all
[00:48:09] So like what I like is
[00:48:11] If Eddie is like
[00:48:12] All those kids finally accept him
[00:48:14] For who he is and go
[00:48:14] Hey this is more important
[00:48:15] Also it's for a million effing dollars
[00:48:17] Like I
[00:48:18] Yeah we
[00:48:18] They never
[00:48:20] Yeah
[00:48:20] Talk about the prize money
[00:48:22] Yeah
[00:48:22] In this entire movie
[00:48:24] It is just like in name only
[00:48:26] If I have a complaint
[00:48:27] About this movie
[00:48:27] It's the million dollars
[00:48:29] And I think it's a legitimate complaint
[00:48:30] What are you doing
[00:48:32] Like what does that mean
[00:48:32] It doesn't matter
[00:48:33] The kid loves cooking
[00:48:34] You don't need to make it
[00:48:35] A million dollar scholarship
[00:48:36] That makes no sense at all
[00:48:37] Like
[00:48:38] But also
[00:48:38] What school doesn't cost
[00:48:39] And it's just for culinary schools
[00:48:41] Is what they say
[00:48:41] But school doesn't cost
[00:48:42] A million dollars
[00:48:43] So like once I go to school
[00:48:45] You don't get the rest of that money
[00:48:46] What is it for
[00:48:47] Like I don't get it
[00:48:47] Do I get to open a restaurant
[00:48:48] With the rest of that money
[00:48:49] It's the worst part of it
[00:48:50] But if the team is like
[00:48:53] We support you
[00:48:54] And then they're watching
[00:48:55] The cooking competition
[00:48:56] And they're winning without him
[00:48:57] I love that
[00:48:58] But when he plays in it
[00:49:00] And then leaves
[00:49:00] I just was like
[00:49:02] I mean I think
[00:49:03] I think for the point of it
[00:49:04] Like I think he needed
[00:49:06] To walk away from cooking
[00:49:08] Do that whole bit
[00:49:08] Show up at the field
[00:49:09] Yeah
[00:49:10] And like before he plays
[00:49:11] His team be like
[00:49:12] Yes
[00:49:13] Yes
[00:49:13] Agreed
[00:49:14] You shouldn't be here
[00:49:14] 100%
[00:49:15] We're nitpicking here
[00:49:17] We're nitpicking
[00:49:17] Because it's a good movie
[00:49:18] And I think that's what's leading
[00:49:19] To this really great discussion
[00:49:21] Of like
[00:49:21] It was really good
[00:49:23] Yeah
[00:49:24] But it's a decom
[00:49:25] At the end of the day
[00:49:26] They're going to have
[00:49:26] The team win the game
[00:49:27] I get that
[00:49:28] I understand
[00:49:30] Hi
[00:49:33] It's time for us to make our list
[00:49:35] Sorry I took a journey there
[00:49:36] Yeah you just leave
[00:49:37] Yeah
[00:49:37] I was thinking about stuff
[00:49:38] Just left us
[00:49:39] That's fine
[00:49:39] It's time to make our list
[00:49:40] Real DB moves
[00:49:42] Whoa
[00:49:42] Whoa
[00:49:43] Whoa
[00:49:43] Whoa
[00:49:43] How dare you
[00:49:45] How dare you
[00:49:46] It's messed up
[00:49:47] I thought he was doing that
[00:49:48] Because I accidentally hit your knee
[00:49:49] You did
[00:49:50] You did hit my knee
[00:49:51] And we'll file it later
[00:49:52] But I hit your knee with my knee
[00:49:53] And not my hand
[00:49:54] That's right
[00:49:54] That's just another
[00:49:55] I still love the more I think
[00:49:56] It's another Tuesday
[00:49:57] Hey what's this shirt feel like
[00:50:01] It was a tough day
[00:50:02] It was a tough day for you
[00:50:04] It was a tough day for me
[00:50:04] Aaron what are you wearing
[00:50:06] Yeah
[00:50:06] Like in this movie
[00:50:08] You learn
[00:50:09] You fail forward
[00:50:10] And you pick yourself back up
[00:50:12] You learn not to just touch
[00:50:13] Women's arms at random
[00:50:14] Yes
[00:50:14] Even if they're wearing sequins
[00:50:16] It doesn't matter what they're wearing
[00:50:17] That's right
[00:50:18] Even if you think
[00:50:18] They're asking for you
[00:50:19] To touch their arms
[00:50:20] Even if you think
[00:50:21] That they're wearing a pillow
[00:50:22] Where if you go this way
[00:50:23] It shows you something
[00:50:24] If you go this way
[00:50:25] It shows you something else
[00:50:25] It doesn't matter
[00:50:26] That would have been such a cool jacket
[00:50:27] Yeah
[00:50:27] And I'm really sad
[00:50:28] That my jacket didn't do that
[00:50:29] It was just a regular one
[00:50:30] Just a reg
[00:50:31] Let's get to our list
[00:50:32] Really it's your fault
[00:50:33] For deceiving
[00:50:35] Aaron
[00:50:36] Yeah
[00:50:36] Where are you putting this one
[00:50:37] Hi welcome back
[00:50:39] Welcome back
[00:50:39] Welcome back
[00:50:41] Yeah
[00:50:41] So this movie is
[00:50:44] It is gonna debut
[00:50:45] In my top ten
[00:50:48] New edition of the list
[00:50:49] Everybody
[00:50:50] What got kicked out
[00:50:51] Aaron
[00:50:51] Tell me
[00:50:51] Cause now it's getting real
[00:50:52] Scream team
[00:50:54] Man I hate that
[00:50:55] I know
[00:50:55] I hate that so much
[00:50:56] I know
[00:50:59] Yeah I really thought about it
[00:51:00] Like going in
[00:51:01] I knew it was gonna be
[00:51:02] Pretty high
[00:51:02] But I figured
[00:51:03] It would just be
[00:51:05] Somewhere around like
[00:51:06] 12, 13, 14
[00:51:07] Somewhere there
[00:51:09] But the more we discussed
[00:51:10] About it
[00:51:10] I was like
[00:51:11] No this is actually
[00:51:11] A really good movie
[00:51:13] And I think it would
[00:51:14] Rate lower
[00:51:15] If we didn't have
[00:51:16] Those like pushback scenes
[00:51:18] Like if dad just somehow
[00:51:19] Magically learned
[00:51:20] Not to be a sexist
[00:51:21] On his own
[00:51:21] I'd be like
[00:51:22] Yeah okay
[00:51:23] But whatever
[00:51:23] But the fact that like
[00:51:24] The team speaks up
[00:51:26] For themselves
[00:51:26] And like mom says something
[00:51:28] And like people learn
[00:51:29] How to speak up
[00:51:29] For themselves
[00:51:30] Correct
[00:51:30] And defend
[00:51:31] Yeah
[00:51:31] You know
[00:51:32] And I really like
[00:51:33] Like that
[00:51:34] I wish I had seen
[00:51:35] This movie more
[00:51:35] I wish that
[00:51:36] Like my memories of it
[00:51:37] Was yeah
[00:51:38] If it wasn't for the
[00:51:39] Million dollar part
[00:51:41] Like that's the one thing
[00:51:42] In this movie
[00:51:43] That you're just like
[00:51:44] What in the world
[00:51:44] But everything you're saying
[00:51:45] Is right
[00:51:45] They use
[00:51:46] Eddie's million dollar
[00:51:47] Cook off
[00:51:47] The way that they also say
[00:51:49] Eddie's incredible
[00:51:50] Edible sauce
[00:51:51] That's right
[00:51:52] We didn't need edible
[00:51:53] We didn't need million dollar
[00:51:54] Million dollar
[00:51:54] We didn't
[00:51:55] So
[00:51:56] But yeah
[00:51:57] So we'll go through my list
[00:51:59] We
[00:51:59] Oh sorry
[00:52:01] Halloween town
[00:52:02] Got kicked out
[00:52:02] Scream team is number 10
[00:52:03] Halloween town
[00:52:04] Kicked out
[00:52:05] Halloween town
[00:52:05] Got kicked out
[00:52:06] Wow
[00:52:06] It's getting real
[00:52:07] Tough day for everyone
[00:52:08] That almost hurts more
[00:52:09] It hurts
[00:52:10] That scream team
[00:52:11] Is above Halloween town
[00:52:12] Scream team is above
[00:52:13] In my list too
[00:52:14] By one
[00:52:14] Well yeah
[00:52:16] Better movie
[00:52:16] But I know how much
[00:52:18] Halloween town men do
[00:52:18] Yeah
[00:52:19] I know
[00:52:20] I mean
[00:52:21] 10 year old you
[00:52:22] Is like
[00:52:22] How dare you
[00:52:23] Just crying
[00:52:23] 12 year old
[00:52:24] Whatever
[00:52:24] She can't believe
[00:52:25] That the baseball movie
[00:52:27] She's so disappointed
[00:52:28] Baseball now
[00:52:29] What are you a dude
[00:52:31] Listen I know
[00:52:32] Dudes like baseball
[00:52:32] And Excel spreadsheets
[00:52:33] And that's all
[00:52:34] That's right
[00:52:34] And women cook
[00:52:35] That's what we do man
[00:52:35] And that's
[00:52:35] We can't help that
[00:52:37] So number 10
[00:52:38] Scream team
[00:52:39] Number 9
[00:52:39] Miracle in lane 2
[00:52:40] Number 8
[00:52:41] Get a clue
[00:52:42] Number 7
[00:52:43] Eddie's million dollar
[00:52:44] Cook off
[00:52:45] 6
[00:52:45] Phantom of the megaplex
[00:52:47] 5
[00:52:47] Smart house
[00:52:48] 4
[00:52:49] Johnny Tsunami
[00:52:50] 3
[00:52:50] Right on track
[00:52:51] 2
[00:52:52] Cadet Kelly
[00:52:52] And 1
[00:52:53] Motocross
[00:52:54] Alright
[00:52:55] That's a great list
[00:52:56] I love that list
[00:52:57] Gosh thank you
[00:52:58] It's a great list
[00:52:59] It's really good
[00:53:01] All that time spent
[00:53:02] In my prayer room
[00:53:03] That's right
[00:53:03] Has paid off
[00:53:04] It's a great list
[00:53:04] So I also spend some time
[00:53:05] In my prayer room
[00:53:06] Brink is still number one
[00:53:07] Of course
[00:53:08] Yeah
[00:53:08] You didn't pray
[00:53:09] You didn't pray for nothing
[00:53:11] If you remember last week
[00:53:13] I had even Steven's movie
[00:53:15] On my top 10
[00:53:16] Pretty relatively high
[00:53:17] Yeah you did
[00:53:18] Which was a move
[00:53:19] I took some time
[00:53:21] And I realized
[00:53:22] I was swept up
[00:53:23] In the emotion
[00:53:24] Of
[00:53:25] The funny
[00:53:26] And
[00:53:27] The nostalgia
[00:53:28] The Shia LaBeouf
[00:53:28] Comedy of it all
[00:53:32] What ultimately did it
[00:53:34] As I was thinking about
[00:53:35] You can do that
[00:53:35] With that movie
[00:53:36] But not with Brink
[00:53:36] Which is wild to me
[00:53:37] Go ahead
[00:53:39] Yeah one of them
[00:53:40] Is the greatest movie
[00:53:40] Of all time
[00:53:41] One of them
[00:53:41] Is the even Steven's movie
[00:53:42] Such denial
[00:53:44] As I was
[00:53:45] I knew Eddie's
[00:53:46] Million Dollar Cook-Off
[00:53:47] Was going to end up
[00:53:48] In my top 10
[00:53:49] So as I began
[00:53:51] To play around
[00:53:51] With that
[00:53:52] That brought up
[00:53:53] A lot of other
[00:53:54] Issues
[00:53:54] Went to my therapist
[00:53:55] That even Steven's movie
[00:53:57] Being in my top 10
[00:54:01] Caused a bit of a
[00:54:01] Is this really why
[00:54:02] I came over to
[00:54:02] Babysit your kids
[00:54:03] So that you could have
[00:54:04] Some uninterrupted
[00:54:04] Prayer time
[00:54:05] Yes
[00:54:05] I would have stayed longer
[00:54:07] Okay
[00:54:07] Brink stop moving
[00:54:08] If we can get Brink out of there
[00:54:09] I think we can
[00:54:10] Let me know next time
[00:54:10] Brink stop moving
[00:54:11] I can stay however late
[00:54:12] If you need more time
[00:54:13] Even Steven's is out
[00:54:15] Of my top 10
[00:54:16] It has moved down
[00:54:17] To number 12
[00:54:18] Okay
[00:54:19] I think it's
[00:54:20] Phantom of the Megaplex
[00:54:22] 10
[00:54:22] The problem was
[00:54:24] Moving Eddie
[00:54:25] To where
[00:54:26] It's 13 on my list
[00:54:27] Moving Eddie
[00:54:27] To where Eddie is
[00:54:29] Which I'll get to in a second
[00:54:30] Pushed
[00:54:31] And leaving even
[00:54:32] Steven's movie
[00:54:33] In my top 10
[00:54:33] Pushed
[00:54:34] Phantom of the Megaplex
[00:54:36] Out
[00:54:36] And I couldn't
[00:54:36] You couldn't
[00:54:37] That then made me
[00:54:38] Look at everything else
[00:54:39] That made me
[00:54:40] That then made me look
[00:54:42] 28 on my list
[00:54:42] Yeah
[00:54:43] I didn't see the show
[00:54:45] You know
[00:54:45] Phantom of the Megaplex
[00:54:47] Not being in your list
[00:54:47] Would have been unacceptable
[00:54:48] So that is what made me go
[00:54:50] Huh
[00:54:51] I may have
[00:54:51] We are probably going to get
[00:54:53] To a point where it's not
[00:54:53] In my top 10
[00:54:54] Phantom is eventually
[00:54:56] Like
[00:54:56] It's a 10 for you
[00:54:57] It's a 10
[00:54:57] So it's going to fall out
[00:54:59] But I couldn't
[00:55:00] I think
[00:55:02] So that's what made me
[00:55:03] Get to thinking
[00:55:04] And to praying
[00:55:05] 9
[00:55:05] Mom's got a date
[00:55:06] 8
[00:55:07] Luck of the Irish
[00:55:08] 7
[00:55:08] Smart house
[00:55:09] 6
[00:55:09] Eddie's million dollar cook off
[00:55:10] 5
[00:55:11] Cadet Kelly
[00:55:11] 4
[00:55:15] Movie of our generation
[00:55:17] And every generation
[00:55:18] Brink
[00:55:19] Dano
[00:55:19] Without Brink
[00:55:20] Your list makes a lot more sense
[00:55:21] Hey
[00:55:22] RIP for Brink
[00:55:24] That is now
[00:55:25] No longer in
[00:55:26] My top 10
[00:55:27] I'm honestly just happy
[00:55:27] It made it that long
[00:55:28] You know
[00:55:28] Here we are
[00:55:29] It's November of 24
[00:55:31] And Brink is now
[00:55:32] 11 on my list
[00:55:34] I'll take that
[00:55:35] Eddie's is on my list
[00:55:37] You had it at 7
[00:55:38] And you had it at 6
[00:55:39] I did
[00:55:40] I have it at 6
[00:55:42] So we're all right in the same wheelhouse with that movie
[00:55:45] This is the most we've agreed on a movie I think
[00:55:47] Quite some time
[00:55:48] 10
[00:55:49] Miracle in Lane 2
[00:55:50] 9
[00:55:50] Halloween Town
[00:55:51] 8
[00:55:51] Scream Team
[00:55:53] 7
[00:55:53] Get a clue
[00:55:54] 6
[00:55:54] Eddie's million dollar cook off
[00:55:56] 5
[00:55:56] Cadet Kelly
[00:55:57] 4
[00:55:58] Phantom of the Megaplex
[00:55:58] 3
[00:55:59] Mom's got a date with a vampire
[00:56:00] 2
[00:56:00] Johnny Tsunami
[00:56:01] Number 1
[00:56:02] Best Ecom
[00:56:03] Motocross
[00:56:04] I love it
[00:56:05] I could maybe be talked into
[00:56:07] Eddie's going a little bit higher too
[00:56:08] But Cadet Kelly has stuck with me as a better movie
[00:56:11] Than when I was watching
[00:56:12] That's kind of where I'm stuck
[00:56:13] This is where I start to interplay
[00:56:16] The better movie
[00:56:17] Versus what am I going to rewatch
[00:56:20] Well
[00:56:20] Because the rewatch
[00:56:21] Rewatch is the tiebreaker
[00:56:22] I and Cadet Kelly also would like to do some interplay
[00:56:24] So that's interesting
[00:56:26] Alright well there's that
[00:56:28] I don't judge these by if I would ever watch them again
[00:56:31] I'm not
[00:56:31] If I would ever show
[00:56:32] That's my tiebreaker
[00:56:32] My kids these movies
[00:56:34] Is a big deal for me
[00:56:35] And Eddie's million dollar cook off
[00:56:37] Is like
[00:56:38] Number 2 on that list
[00:56:40] Behind motocross
[00:56:41] So like
[00:56:42] That's the thing
[00:56:43] Is that is a big deal for me
[00:56:44] The million dollar part
[00:56:46] Let's show your kids
[00:56:46] Eddie's million dollar cook off
[00:56:47] And then give them free range in the kitchen
[00:56:50] They love to cook
[00:56:50] It could inspire them
[00:56:52] It could inspire them
[00:56:54] We did it everybody
[00:56:55] Yeah we did
[00:56:56] Congratulations to us
[00:56:56] We'll be back next week
[00:56:58] With
[00:56:58] Cheetah Girls
[00:56:59] Cheetah Girls
[00:57:00] She was a cheetah girl
[00:57:02] Cheetah Girls
[00:57:02] Cheetah Sisters
[00:57:03] We were asking for some music
[00:57:04] And Eddie and Eddie's million dollar
[00:57:06] Not asking
[00:57:06] We're gonna get music next week
[00:57:07] We're gonna get music next week
[00:57:08] So it's a rock band
[00:57:09] They're a girl group
[00:57:10] Girl group
[00:57:11] It's the cheetah girls
[00:57:12] Raven Simone
[00:57:13] Alright
[00:57:14] Michelle Williams
[00:57:15] Michelle Williams
[00:57:16] Like Academy Award winner
