[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_01]: He's just trying to get as many girls secret which rooms as he can steal those family cell you steal the spell book and off

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_02]: And so you might be wondering yourself self is that a big deal is it?

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Saw boy brought him to my own spell room and then just like that. He's gone. He didn't quit it

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_00]: To invite him to the school dance. Yeah invited her to invite him. Well. He's not a student yet

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_00]: He was like, but I think like if my costume was good enough they wouldn't mind

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Who just moved here my kid does not attend this school, but yeah, we should go

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_02]: To go before the Halloween town portal slams shut at midnight

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_02]: And so we go there take a look and we're back before midnight. No easy peasy

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no problem, but when they arrive they find out that Halloween town has gone greyscale

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It is black and white anyway. It's getting there. It's all it's all it's a color, but it's exactly right and

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right so we find out that

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_02]: This is listen grandma knows all about this. She's like. This is the gray spell

[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of like what it is. It's the gray spell and

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_02]: The only question is who is behind?

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Because we already got rid of the bad guy

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So once he's gone yeah

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Back in the mortal world

[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Dylan and Sophie go in there and they're like it's not here grandma. You must be crazy

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Where did you put it and grandma's like I definitely didn't misplace it and money's like did I show a boy the secret room yes

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_02]: But he's nice. He wouldn't he wouldn't yeah

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I've known him for six whole minutes, and he would never do that great judge of character

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_02]: and it's at this point that Cal does show up as a

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_02]: cube a

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the famous jack-o'-lantern in the town square has been turned into a brick gray brick cube

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_01]: The walls on dry say talks at point 6x speed it was painful

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And he lays it all out. He says listen. I am the son of

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I took your spell book, and you may be wondering. What is my plan my plan is to

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_02]: to take take on some good old-fashioned revenge on both Halloween town in the mortal world and

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Gray spell spell is just step one mm-hmm. It's all going down

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_02]: So I got a whole thing here. Yeah, it's gonna be pretty nice normies

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he hates normies hates the normies. Oh an x-men yes, and so they now know

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Luckily never go anywhere with both your spell you always have a backup spray gonna say for force

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yes, but it's nowhere to be found. They don't know where they are where it is lost. It's lost

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the lost spell book so the only thing that they can think to do is go to Gort's house

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well Gord you gotta go to Gord you guys see Gord and what's what's Gord's deal Dana Gord is a pack rat

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_01]: He's a pack rat he keeps everything that he gets he wants to amass what he believes are treasures

[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_01]: But he's kind of like grumpy and cranky about it right Gord's whole

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_00]: House is like a portal so you know when you lose a sock or a puzzle piece or those little things that just misplace

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_00]: They show up at Gort's

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And once they're at Gort's they're his yes, so if we can't find the spell book it must have ended up

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_02]: So when they show up at Gort's unfortunately Gord is not helpful because he's also now been affected by the gray spell

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_02]: He is you know boring

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_02]: He had a yard sale parents socks he's in the process

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Sucks yeah, he's keeping how to dust for pleasure and profit, but he did sell the spell book yes

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Now they are trying to figure out what to do now

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_02]: And as they're trying to figure this out grandma begins to lose her color

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_02]: And she's she's an important part and so she at the time Marnie's like what about time travel and

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Grandma right as she's basically turning gray writes down the spell and is like hey you can use this

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So they're back in time to pre yard sale try and get the book yeah

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_02]: The gray scale how do we stop the gray spell if we can stop the gray spell?

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_02]: maybe we can you know at least save this world and then go in there and deal with it there and

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Luckily she's able to figure it out really for like if basically I mean hopefully it's like a one-word spell

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so what happened was there was one guy who I always forget what his name is

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Who was grayscale and then he was around and she said something the Kramer house looking for the spell book?

[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and he shows back up and he is now in color and no one knows why

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_02]: But what they do is they say hey

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember like what what you said before I showed up in color and luckily for her amazing memory?

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So she's kind of remembering some words and he is writing them down and they're trying to figure out

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Possibly whatever she said right so what something that she said was something trap a

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_02]: blah blah and

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_02]: And doing that she said trapper and trap

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Is the spell because it's a part backward

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, they just have to say trap up to travel and then it goes back to being turns on the gray spell

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_02]: So whatever's lost outside of his house goes to him and then their poof point

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So now we're stuck it back. So now they get to but they do get to ride on an actual time

[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's like there would not be any magic on Halloween. How dare you? Yeah magics not real

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I know we went to another place in another universe called Halloween town where everyone is a Halloween character

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And that is true and I am part witch but you've gone a step too far young lady

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, thinking that there's some evil magic happening. So the only way to first date 20 years

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_02]: the only way to prove that she that mom's on a date with a frog is

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_02]: For them to do a spell that causes a fly to be there because no frog can withstand the power

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Of a fly and that does happen

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_02]: His tongue goes long and there's nothing we can do about that

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Fly and then bada-bing bada-boom. We know now turn back into frog. He turns into a lot of frogs

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_02]: That's exactly right things gonna come down he's gonna with his baseball bat I think we've been hanging out

[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_02]: And so the the door ends up closed like despite Marnie trying to open it up with her hands again

[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_02]: That's over and now cows like Cal turns like mom into an actual monster like whatever mask you're wearing

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_02]: So chaos is is happening and what are we gonna do? This is this is over it's over. She the portal has been closed

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes at first Aggie's like well we tried our best now you can spend the next mortal year here training and next

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Halloween not a big deal. Nothing will have happened in the mortal world for sure

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_02]: And we'll be ready to fight. Everyone knows a year at Halloween town is a thousand elsewhere

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Marnie will feel like she is living a hundred years without her family. You get a free hundred years and I also feel like

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna move on like it's gonna be a bigger problem. Yes, but

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Marnie is like no money fuse

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Marnie figures it out because everyone knows that the Halloween town portal that's opening on that's open on Halloween

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And then he and he just goes disappears poof point poof point lots of points a lot of people. Yeah, I can't under

[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Bad this how short and bad this fight was. Yeah. Yeah, I know we've been watching a lot of Star Wars over here

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You see a lot of dark side Jedi fights and it's like yes

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_02]: This is great. Bah bah bah and you're expecting it to really turn in there to compare those two

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and she's you know, her mom has given the blessing for her to get some training

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And then we kind of backpedal on all that it's almost like we're starting from the beginning again

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not as good as first one. It's not as bad as some

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Decom movies we've watched it is a good it's a better sequel than some sequels we watched

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Early in the movie grandma is like you need to say it with more feelings. Yeah make a big deal of that

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_02]: But this movie has something that a lot of other D comes don't have Jimmy J

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_02]: And so while this movie might have more plot holes than a lot of other D comms, which is really saying something

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_02]: it still keeps you engaged in the movie and she still finds a way to draw emotion out of a

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Better than it should be and higher on my list than I anticipated when she when the portal closes and she is faced with spending

[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh, it's unbelievable like it's

[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Dan what did you think this movie is 81 minutes and could have been an email?

[00:38:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It is it does not could have been a 30-minute like Halloween special in a special it is

[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Padded to the gills with stuff that doesn't matter and crazy plot points

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_01]: The spell thing is ridiculous the time travel element and how it's used is

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Ridiculous the 60-second countdown lasting 15 minutes

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_01]: like there's so much in this movie that just

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Didn't even need to be like it's not a movie. It is a nothing burger of a film
