[00:00:03] [SPEAKER_01]: This is a Bramble Jam Podcast

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_01]: This is a rough time

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god Bram

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought of that joke earlier today too

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_00]: But you didn't say it, that's the difference

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It was going to be in like my

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_03]: overtime

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_00]: You thought that was going to make it to there?

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_00]: You thought Bram wasn't going to say rough before then?

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I wasn't thinking about Bram at all

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_03]: When I was thinking about my

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Bram was going to go out of the gate

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_00]: He was going to steal that one

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I had to get ahead of it

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_01]: My tail was wagging

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_01]: God almighty

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, it's great to be back

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: We had a lot of fun at Bramble Fest

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_01]: We apologize

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_01]: The audio was fantastic

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_01]: The only thing you heard was us having

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_01]: a good time

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Any of our reviews came through

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Dano, we're up to 115

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: And not only that

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_00]: but people were kind

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: because there's not been any negative response

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: from the audio of that episode

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like we now have a 1 star, a 2 star

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: and a 4 star

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: We've had that for a long time

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of 5 stars coming in

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: including Meg Cole 07

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Who says, obsessed with this podcast

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00]: This podcast is so nostalgic

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_00]: and has made me laugh out loud

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: a few times

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_00]: A few times gang

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm obsessed with Meg

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Also love that I can listen

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_00]: while I take care of my baby

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_00]: No bad language

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm hoping they might do some of the old

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: old DCOMs like the paper brigade

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_00]: and wish upon a star eventually

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Meg, I don't...

[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_00]: We don't need you to give us any more...

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_03]: We hear you Meg and we're here for you

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_01]: We're working towards it

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_01]: So Meg, thank you

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I do want to give a shout out to One Blue

[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_01]: One Blue, yeah I was getting there

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Subject is, is this about?

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And then the rest of the review is

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01]: What is this about?

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_01]: 5 stars

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: So I appreciate that

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And what this is about

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_01]: is Aaron and I love DCOMs

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Dan has never seen them

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: and we're walking through all the DCOMs

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And his life has changed for a lot

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's been a lot of fun

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Mostly, of course

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_00]: like that's what this is about

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: But I would...

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Here's a little review challenge for you

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_00]: If you've not left us a rating and review

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: We know how many people listen

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_00]: We know how many reviews there are

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_00]: There's plenty of people that listen

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_00]: that are not leaving us ratings and reviews

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Hear that Tanner?

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Leave us a 5 star Tanner

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_00]: and all of you out there

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_00]: and try to make it more confusing

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: than One Bluey's review

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Just try your best

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Cause his review is

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Is this about?

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00]: What is this about?

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Or her

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_00]: One Bluey's review

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_00]: One Bluey

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Their review is

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Is this about?

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Bluey the dog is a girl

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_01]: So

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_01]: That's true

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_01]: That's true

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to make any assumptions here

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: No

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_01]: But yes, please leave a confusing review

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_01]: or just leave a review letting us know

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_01]: what you think it is about

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Please do

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_00]: If you could answer One Bluey's question

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_00]: that would be fantastic

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I assume that One Bluey

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I would love to read listeners' reviews

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: of what they think is happening here

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, I thought that One Bluey was asking about the show

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_01]: but maybe One Bluey's just asking about life

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: What is it about?

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, we're all trying to figure that out, aren't we?

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And One Bluey asked it twice

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I will say

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Is this about?

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_00]: What is this about?

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I think that

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like Bluey started to figure it out

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: and then they were like

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: No, it's too big

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Is this about?

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_01]: What is this about?

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I do think that all of this ultimately

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_01]: is about the Delish segment

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Nice

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Went to Segway School over the break

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: What a Segway

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Over break I went over to Segway School

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_01]: and I passed

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And I passed

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: How long was the

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Was it just like a day or two?

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_01]: It was two days

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_01]: So two days Segway School

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Three nights

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And then you have a graduation ceremony

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_01]: that lasts five days

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of people

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: They don't know how to get out of it

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, for a second there

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to compliment you

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_03]: on being a professional podcaster

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_03]: with your rough joke

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: and that good Segway

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: and then you went into

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_03]: a five-day graduation bit

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_03]: and I didn't

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_01]: A bit?

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of people

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_00]: You've got a bunch of people

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_00]: who are trying to Segway out of graduation

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_00]: and they just couldn't

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_00]: They can't get

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_00]: They just are trying

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Here's your diploma

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of Diploma C

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You later

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_01]: There's so much there

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_01]: There's so much there

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not going to stop this show

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not what it's about

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01]: No

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01]: What it is about is

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_01]: The delish segment

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Aaron, each week you bring

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_01]: a snack or a beverage

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: or whatever you really want to

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_01]: that you would define as delicious

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, whatever I want to

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_03]: seems to be the best defining

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_01]: But it always

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_01]: It always

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Always

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Very clearly

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Falls in line with the movie

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Connects to the movie

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_01]: My guess when you brought this in

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: as we're doing a movie about a dog

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was like dog pee

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Dog pee juice

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_01]: or something like that

[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_01]: But we'll find out

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Hooch

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll find out what this yellow beverage is

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_01]: With

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Dirt in the top of it

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a sprinkling of nutmeg

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_03]: How dare you?

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_01]: What are you nuts?

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Black nutmeg

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, go ahead

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just what they had

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just what they had

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Pepper

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, good

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, your segment

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Go ahead

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my gosh

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so we had a lot of fun

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_03]: We do have a lot of fun

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Watching this movie

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Dan and I did not need any extra beverage help

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_03]: while watching this movie

[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But as I was thinking about my experience of this movie

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_03]: and what I could bring for a delicious segment

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I just kept thinking about this cocktail called

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_03]: The Painkiller

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Nice

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Nice

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And that is what I brought

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Fair

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_03]: To get us through this movie

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And to get us through this review

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And let's not jump ahead to our overtime or making the list here

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_00]: But you've made the painkiller for this movie

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: What is the painkiller if someone wants to painkill at home?

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_00]: It is grain alcohol with dirt on top

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It is some coconut rum, dark rum, a little bit of orange juice and a little bit of pineapple juice

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want it

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_03]: All drinkers

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_00]: There you go, cheers

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Cheers

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_00]: There you have it

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Killing pain

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll see

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_01]: We're all giving Aaron our painkiller

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And we'll see how it goes

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_01]: How it goes

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Here at 9am

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: On a Wednesday morning

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, between this and lunchtime

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_01]: You can do whatever you want to

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Feel free

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Feel free to painkill

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_01]: To kill pain

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_01]: It's true

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's take a quick break

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to come back

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Great segue

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Dive into Hounded

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to hound you

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Those glasses are paying off

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Those glasses are paying off

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_01]: With Hounded

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a long com chat segment

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_00]: A lot happens here

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Here at T.Com to send us

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And we remember all of it

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: We do

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Locked in

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Brantick notes

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Right, yeah, he does

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_00]: That's what he's here for

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, how to ho everybody

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about Hounded today

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you working on some stuff over there?

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I auditioned for South Park

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Didn't get it

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Didn't get it

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Interesting

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_03]: How to ho

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about Hounded

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And your backup plan was podcasting?

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that how we got here?

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: No

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And you fit in Segway school

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Somehow in there

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: So that was impressive

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Well that was to help with podcasting

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Well we were on vacation

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And Brandon had some time off

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That's true

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Had to do something

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Could you go on vacation?

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_03]: No, Segway school

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_01]: No, Segway school

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And you all ride on Segways

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_00]: A different school

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: That's how you get from one Segway school to the other

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: That's true

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_00]: There's so many levels to that joke

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And people who appreciate it

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_00]: You're my people

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_00]: You Segway right on over

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Leave us a review if you got that joke

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Hounded is what we're talking about today

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_01]: It premiered on the Disney Channel

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_01]: On April 13th, 2001

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_01]: What were you doing that day Dan?

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You keep a journal

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I was a month

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_00]: About five weeks from graduation

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I was going to graduate high school May 25th of 2001

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_00]: So

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I was probably playing tennis or golf

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Nice

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, because I played those two sports

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_00]: In my senior year

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Probably that

[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I just started dating my wife

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a month early

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_00]: March 3rd, 2001

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Am I right?

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And Hounded is what brought you guys together?

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't have the Disney Channel

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: And my wife didn't have the Disney Channel

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So we did not watch any DCOMs

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_03]: So as everyone in your high school was talking about Hounded

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_03]: You were brought together by like

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what everyone's talking about

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I distinctly remember being a senior in high school

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_00]: A month from graduating high school

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And like the

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Dude that week

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone was just like

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_00]: It was non-stop

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Like every teacher was like

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I know, calm down with the Hounded talk

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and your wife was the only other person who wasn't in it

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_03]: And you were like

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Should we talk?

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, should we talk?

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what happened

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_00]: What were you doing?

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_00]: What were you guys doing?

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_00]: You guys, what?

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_00]: You were 11 maybe?

[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Not even

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_00]: 10 and a half?

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I was 10

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_00]: You were not 9?

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you guys, what were you doing in elementary school that day?

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I was probably learning math

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It was directed by Neil Israel

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It's his name

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I was just getting better and better

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Neil Israel

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Where can I leave a review for this school?

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that what it's about?

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that is what it's about

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Neil Israel is the director of this movie

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Who in the 80s produced some films like Police Academy

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Real Genius and Bachelor Party

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_01]: He also directed several shows including Lizzie McGuire

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And weirdly enough, Dog with a Block

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe he really liked working with Camille

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Those three movies he produced in the 80s are heavy hitter 80s comedies

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Like they are big time

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was born in 45

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_01]: So by the time he was doing this

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_01]: He was an elder statesman

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_01]: He was in his 50s

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you ever see an episode of Dog with a Block?

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_01]: No, I did not

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Dog with a Block?

[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Dog with a Block

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Dog with a Block

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_03]: The dog has a blog

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_01]: He's like typing with his paws?

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_00]: There you have it

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm something new every day

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Dog with a Block

[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And it is starring Taj Mowry

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Who you might know as Brother of Sister Sister

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Brother of Sister Sister

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Craig Kirkwood

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Ed Begley

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you throwing the mouse over here?

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Move move

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And one Shia LaBeouf

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Ed Begley Jr.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And one Shia LaBeouf is in this movie

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just typing his blog

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_01]: He's a blog

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_01]: He's a dog with a block

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_01]: He's a dog with a block

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what to tell you

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you get dog without a dog with a blog

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Without Hounder

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Every day pretty much the same

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Right?

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_00]: With Hounder

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_00]: But it was a great day

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Got treats

[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I think like

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_03]: The family learns a life lesson

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And then the dog sums it up in his blog

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh like Doogie Howser

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I've seen like an episode

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_00]: At least that's more than me

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_00]: So you know

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah sometimes when you're homesick

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And you just put Disney Channel on

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_03]: You're like I saw a dog with a blog

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_00]: You gotta do what you gotta do

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Daytime TV isn't what it used to be

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So your choices are

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_00]: That's not what it used to be

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not Price is Right

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: And then four talk shows afternoon

[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean like those are the days you know

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_01]: There's no way he does that show though without Hounder

[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Sure

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Hounder

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Hounder walks so that dog with a block could run

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what we're trying to say

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_01]: We can say it everyday

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_01]: We can say it everyday

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Shall we dive into this movie?

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_03]: We can

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_01]: The movie kicks off with a flip book

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Hijinks ensue

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Did you guys do that?

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01]: That is Hounder

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Aaron did you ever flip book?

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Did you ever draw and do

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Tried to do it?

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I really enjoyed a good flip book

[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_03]: But my artistic talent was not what Taj's was

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_03]: If I was gonna make a flip book they were for sure stick figures

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_03]: The amount of detail he put on the 100 note cards

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It took him days

[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And they're not even attached

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a weird time to flip book

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Right

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_00]: It is

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Like they're not

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I am terrible at drawing anything

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_00]: But like yeah on the corner of my you know notebook I had to have in school

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Do little stick figures and you flip it because you're bored

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_00]: This guy is making a flip book without the flip aspect

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah you have to hold it for sure

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And he's making full drawings

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Full drawings

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It's super detailed

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And he does it on the back of his very important presentation

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_00]: He could have been an animator of the 2000's easily

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Could have been

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Well maybe that's why he's trying to get a scholarship to the art school

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And not go to military academy

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep could be great segue

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about Jay Martin of course

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I teach classes at the art school

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_01]: You wish

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You wish

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_03]: You didn't qualify for my courses

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right fair enough

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_00]: It's graduate level

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Graduate level

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_00]: You gotta go across two different buildings

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Now that I have done the five day graduation

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I can do that

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:12:56] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a risk free graduation point

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_01]: That's for probably no one

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anybody

[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Literally no one

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_01]: It's for Brandon

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay Martin is our main character

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_01]: He's the one doing the drawing

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_01]: He goes downstairs

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_01]: He's talking to his mom

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Mom is going out of town

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And is prepping him on like meals and stuff

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And she's like your brother

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Who's at military school

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be here soon

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_01]: But you're going to have some time alone

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Well Taj thinks he's getting the whole week to himself

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Mom I'm 13

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I can do this myself

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Got it

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm good to go

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Got this

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: And he is responsible

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_00]: For what we see of him

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_00]: He's a responsible kid

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Now a 13 year old by himself for a weekend

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_00]: A whole week

[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah no go

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Couldn't a neighbor have just looked in on him?

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_00]: You would have been

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Would your parents have let you stay at the house by yourself at 13?

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah there's no way

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean if my

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_03]: If I had an older sibling

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_03]: In school

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't necessarily know that the sibling would have gotten time off to be like

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_03]: My mom has to go out of town

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00]: You have a younger brother

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Was there a point when you were old enough where your parents were like

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just you two in the house

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And you were in charge of him?

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Like what age was that?

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_03]: High school

[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay so when you were like 15, 16?

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow okay

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Right on

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Good

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Learned something new

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Back to you Brian

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_03]: There was a time where we were close to that age

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Where they had my grandfather come and stay with us

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_03]: And it just wasn't a good fit for anybody

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_03]: So the next time

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_03]: We stayed home alone

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_01]: It'll be better if no one's here than if grandpa's here

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It'll just be better for everybody

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_01]: So mom is gonna miss the big award ceremony tonight

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay has been working on a presentation for this ceremony

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Because he is up for a big scholarship

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_01]: He's very excited about this

[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Cut to his brother Mike

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Mike is at the military academy

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And is following the direction of military dad

[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah dad taught at military school

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah dad's dad by the way

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And this is once again

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_00]: This is once again one of these things where

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_00]: In DCOMs middle school is just more serious than it is in real life

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Like he's applying to some heavy hitter scholarships

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_00]: To see where he goes to high school

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like last week

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_00]: It was like middle school state basketball champions

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Like these things don't happen in real life

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But here in the DCOM world

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a big deal

[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_00]: His whole future is on the line here

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_00]: This is what we're saying

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And I just have questions about that town

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Where the only option for education is some level of private school

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_00]: That's right

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Like there was no public school

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Like he was either I get this scholarship to art school

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Or it's military school for me

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Those are the options

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Public school

[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Because guess what?

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Public school does offer art classes

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_03]: No, not like this

[00:15:49] [SPEAKER_03]: You saw his drawings

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't bring that to public school

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't do that

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It'd be more artistic than military school

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_03]: But apparently this town doesn't do public school

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_01]: It's two options, art or military

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_01]: So Jay gets to school

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And his bully Ronnie

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Hits him with a soccer ball

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Which he's Shia LaBeouf

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, played by Shia LaBeouf

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And knocks the flip book slash presentation down on the ground

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's now all out of order

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_01]: The principal headmaster

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever you want to call him

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Then walks over, picks it up

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And somehow Jay gets in trouble for this

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And he's like

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna take this

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Blah, blah, blah

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's messed up

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_03]: He like immediately

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_03]: The presentation falls

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Taj immediately starts trying to pick it up

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And the principal's just like

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, hurry up, pick it up

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, because he saw the wolf on the drawing

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Well then he comes over

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Because Taj is taking more than a second

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: To pick up his presentation

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_03]: He sees the wolf and he's like

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Is this me?

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_03]: This presentation's mine now

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And we are in the first like five minutes of this movie

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And if you're worried that we're gonna be here for two hours

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't you worry

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll make it

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_01]: We're just about to cross the 17 minute mark

[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_01]: My guess is we'll come in under an hour

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's see what happens

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_03]: So I thought for a second there

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_03]: That when you said the 17 minute mark

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Of the movie, I was like no way

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Of this here episode

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_00]: One, there's no way he took those notes

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I take my notes by the minute

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_00]: There's no way that we are 17 minutes in at this point

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I've said 17 minutes in the movie

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_01]: So

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was like there's no way we're 17 minutes in

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And there's no way you took that note down

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_01]: The headmaster is actually Ronnie's dad

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie is in his office

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_01]: He sees these note cards

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And the speech and he's like

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_01]: This is great because I don't have a speech

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just over here just goofing

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_01]: So he then takes the note cards

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And he goes up and he gives his speech first

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I guess it's between Ronnie and Jay

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Who gets this

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's going to be based off of

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_01]: In-person speech

[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_00]: It's how it's done

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a high level, high school scholarship

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Full scholarship

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Given out based upon speech

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_02]: One speech

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you get it

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean I think that's pretty straightforward

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_00]: It's how I got into high school

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Me too

[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_01]: We all had to do that

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And so Jay

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_01]: These creators need to know

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Heck of a speech

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a great speech

[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay hears this speech

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And obviously he is so sad

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Because it's like that's my speech

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_01]: So Jay goes to talk to headmaster

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And is like hey

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_01]: This is messed up

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And so the headmaster is like

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Alright, I'll look into it

[00:18:26] [SPEAKER_01]: But what he does is he goes and tells Ronnie

[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie you got to get rid of the evidence

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_01]: As soon as possible

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_01]: So his dad not great

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And there's definitely some nepotism going on here

[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_01]: What?

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_01]: In regards to this speech situation

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay overhears this conversation

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Between headmaster and Ronnie

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And now he's mad

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Now he's mad

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_01]: On his way home

[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay is riding his bike

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie comes by

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Kicks him

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Messed up

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Unnecessary

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And Ronnie being a dummy

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Did not get rid of the evidence

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_01]: He put it in the transparent part of his backpack

[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_01]: So that everybody can see it

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Including Jay

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So Jay sees this

[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And is like you know what

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go and get my

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_01]: No cards back

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_01]: That way I can prove I guess

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_01]: That it was my speech

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_00]: And trash can at school

[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Perfect place to destroy evidence

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_01]: It would have been great

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Perfect place

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Rip it in half even

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah but just put them in there

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And then you're going to be like

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't put them in

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what you're like

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?

[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Like easy

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I think the best way to get rid of evidence

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Is to hold on to it

[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's the key

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_00]: That's how you'll never get caught

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_01]: To put it inside of transparent parts

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, other people should be able to see it

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's an important part of it all

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Because they would be like

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that Jay's speech?

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_03]: No, he wouldn't be that dumb

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a different speech

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_01]: No, gotta be

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So he breaks into Ronnie's room

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is conveniently detached from the house

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie lives in the pool house

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is crazy

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because when Ronnie gives a party

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It is like he has his own house

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right, which is awesome

[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Middle school parties in the pool house

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It's nuts

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_01]: So Jay's going around

[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_01]: He's snooping

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's at this point

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_01]: That their dog Camille

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Discoveres Jay

[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And Jay's like

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Get out of here, get out of here

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay's very afraid of this dog

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_01]: No dog likes him

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_01]: No dog likes him

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I forgot about that fact

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_00]: No dog likes him

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Playing into some real stereotypes

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_00]: All movie long in this movie

[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_00]: What stereotype's that, dad?

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_00]: That dogs don't like black people

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_00]: That's the stereotype they decided

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_00]: That the DCOM would lean into here

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they lean into it all movie

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And so Jay's basically like

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I gotta get out of here

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And Camille begins to follow Jay

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And no matter what Jay does

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Whether it's like

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Try to put Camille back in like

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_01]: The house bushes or whatever

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Camille just keeps coming back

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And keeps following him

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And even follows him into traffic

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay sees Camille is now in traffic

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And goes to save Camille's life

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is very heroic

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, would I have picked up the dog

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_03]: And knocked on the door

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm been like

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Here's your dog

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_01]: He's very concerned, I guess

[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_01]: That doing that will somehow

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Get him in trouble for snooping

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, because he was snooping

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And I do want to point out

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_03]: That Camille was in a house

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Behind a closed door

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And Taj was in a pool house

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Behind a closed door

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Across the yard

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And Camille somehow knew he was in there

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And opened one door

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a lot happening here

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Camille

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_01]: But Camille can't

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_01]: The thing about Camille is Camille

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Camille can't talk though

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_01]: And so like

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_01]: She just barked

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_01]: The people would have no way to know

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_01]: That he was snooping

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_01]: If he just returned the dog

[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And said, hey, found it

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Right, well, except for when he was

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Leaving the pool house

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_03]: The maids saw him

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's wearing a giant yellow jacket

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Now, could he have taken the jacket off

[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And have been like

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Here's your dog

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I found it wandering

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, but he's 13

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And we didn't get there

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Nah

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_03]: We got somewhere else

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Brand

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_01]: So the family returns home

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_01]: They now realize that the dog is missing

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And everybody's very sad about that

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Except for the headmaster

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Who's actually allergic to the dog

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And so is actually pretty pumped about this

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_03]: He's thrilled

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_03]: He immediately

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And there's medication the dog should be taking

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we find that out

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Because Camille

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, the dad immediately flushes his allergy meds

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_03]: He's like, dog's gone

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't need these anymore

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: See ya, sucker

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is a bold move

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_01]: That's a bold move

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Camille needs anti-anxiety medicine

[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Or else she goes nuts

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And she does

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Nuts is putting it kindly

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Indeed go nuts

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_01]: She goes crazy

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Destroys the house

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_01]: The dog is continuing to go crazy

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_01]: For about 15 minutes straight

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_01]: At minimum

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_03]: It felt like an hour

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay's brother shows up

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_01]: He is initially really mad at Jay for the mess

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_01]: But then Camille shoots out of a cupboard

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And attacks him

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Shoots out of

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Like a cannon

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Guys, the amount of times that you see a dog

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Shoot across the screen in this movie

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Is I think over a handful

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_01]: And dog is being kind here

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a puppet

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_01]: But you can't use real dog

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Although I didn't look at the credits at the end

[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_01]: For that tagline about no pets being harmed

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And I can't remember which one of you said it

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_03]: When we were watching the movie

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_03]: About how this movie is why PETA was formed

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And yeah

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Thinking about all the times that a dog was chucked

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_03]: In some manner across the screen

[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_01]: At one point you literally see somebody's hand

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_01]: In the corner of the shot throwing this dog

[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is great

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It's fantastic

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_01]: So after

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Not being able to get the dog to go back

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And trying to figure out a way to return the dog

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay confesses about what happened with the speech

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_01]: How the dog ended up at the house

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And at this point that Mike is like

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I never liked that headmaster anyway

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_01]: He's a total jerk

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I'm in a military school

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And not at my scholarship school of choice

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Right

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I am going to help you

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And also maybe in the process

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Get back at that guy

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_01]: The only problem is now the dog is for real missing

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_01]: The dog just kind of disappears

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_01]: So they need to stall

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Before they can get the dog back

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_01]: So Mike calls the headmaster

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Makes him do embarrassing things

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_01]: To quote unquote get the dog

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_01]: But really he just wants to embarrass him

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_00]: How's he not being recognized on the phone

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_00]: So you know those voice changer

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_01]: He uses that

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_01]: But he does it by holding the phone up to his

[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_01]: His ears still

[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_01]: And so

[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_01]: The way that it would work is

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_01]: They'd still be able to hear your voice totally fine

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But in this movie it doesn't work that way

[00:24:51] [SPEAKER_01]: It does work perfectly for them

[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_03]: There is one scene where he does it correctly

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And then never again

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah the first scene that Mike does it correctly

[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like oh

[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Finally somebody's doing it

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And then Mike

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_01]: It had to be

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Dan you said it but it had to be a director note

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Like hey kids that are watching this are going to be confused

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Or whatever

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_00]: There's no way that they get it right once

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And get it wrong the rest of the time

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_00]: The flip would maybe happen in the editing room

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_00]: But for that to be wrong every time

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like hey this frame has to be

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion I don't know

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a professional

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_00]: That's my guess though

[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah or like hey we just want to make it abundantly clear

[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_01]: That you're on the phone

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe like kids are dumb they won't know

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_01]: If you're not holding it up to your ear

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know the reasoning behind it

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_01]: But it is really something

[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's doing things to try to get

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Basically embarrass that guy

[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_01]: But also by time until they can get the dog back

[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_01]: The way that they get the dog back

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Is by tying a bunch of meat

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_01]: To the back of the car

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And inside of a bag

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And dragging it down the street

[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_01]: It works like gangbusters

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_01]: A bunch of dogs are attracted to this

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Dragged meat

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_01]: But also Camila

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_01]: So Camila finally comes out

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And they are able to get her back

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_01]: So now after being stood up multiple times

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Being made a fool multiple times

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Having to sing itsy bitsy itsy bitsy spider

[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Multiple times

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_01]: The headmaster is now very mad

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_01]: It is now time to get the authorities involved

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay and Mike come up with a plan

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_01]: To basically frame Ronnie

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_01]: For the dog's disappearance

[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_01]: By bringing the dog

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And sneaking back in

[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Dropping it into Ronnie's pool

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And then calling the phone

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie's pool house

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry Ronnie's pool house

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah we're not dropping the dog in the pool

[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_01]: We're not doing that

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And so they do that

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_01]: By Mike going up

[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Knocking on the pool house door

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Getting Ronnie to come out

[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_01]: He poses like a BMX magazine guy

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Or something

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah I think if there's one thing

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_03]: We're supposed to know about Ronnie in this movie

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Besides he's a cheater

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It's that he loves BMX

[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Which I didn't know until that point

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't either

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_03]: But then later on

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the dad makes a comment about it

[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It's apparently like Ronnie's personality

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie loves BMX

[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_01]: We knew that

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah big Ronnie BMX

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_00]: We were all in on this plan

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_01]: So as he's distracting Ronnie on the outside

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay sneaks in through the back window

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Drops the dog off

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Then uses Ronnie's phone

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Which I guess is a separate line

[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_01]: To call the main house

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_01]: That they don't recognize

[00:27:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Separate line they don't recognize

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't even think about that

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_03]: That number wouldn't pop up

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It's 2001

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that Ronnie's house?

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that Ronnie's house?

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that pool house?

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_01]: No they use the police's tracing system

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_01]: To trace the phone to Ronnie's pool house

[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_01]: So the parents go in

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_01]: They see Ronnie is there with the dog

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_01]: And now the parents are very mad at Ronnie

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_01]: And Ronnie is going to get the blame

[00:27:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And if you think that

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_01]: You know this plan is not going to work perfectly

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_01]: At some point Jay is going to get found out or something

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_01]: No

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Everything actually works 100% correctly

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And they investigate it further

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_01]: The truth comes out about Ronnie

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronny cheating

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And the dad covering up for him

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_01]: The scholarship competition is now reopened

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay is able to win that

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie is sent to military school

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And is going to be kind of

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Not

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_01]: What is it when the guy

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Jay's brother is like in charge of him

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Is like his commanding officer or whatever

[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And Camille

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Who towards the end actually bonded with Jay

[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Camille is having puppies

[00:28:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And Jay is going to get one of those puppies

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh wow

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Full circle

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that just wonderful

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And didn't I tell you guys

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_01]: That was it

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_01]: That was it

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_01]: That was a quick one

[00:28:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Hounded everybody

[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Hounded

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll be right back

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll break this movie down more

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_01]: On the other side of this break

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Here on

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Decontroversed

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Descendants

[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Did we do that for the first break?

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_01]: No you guys were talking

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back

[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't shade

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't like shading you for talking

[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_01]: I was just

[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah it sounded like shade

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_01]: You'll listen back

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_00]: You'll hear it

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_00]: You'll know

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I thought we were doing the outro banter

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know what I'm talking about?

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Like you let it run a little bit

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah yeah yeah yeah

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_00]: That's where we

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean we were

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Our banter is top notch

[00:29:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Beforehand

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Decom Descendants

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking hounded today

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean it's August now

[00:29:34] [SPEAKER_03]: It's our month

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It's our month

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It's our time to shine

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah yeah yeah

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_01]: It took me a second to realize

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Why it's our month

[00:29:41] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not my month

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Correct us again

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_00]: See what happens

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_01]: What's gonna happen?

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_00]: We're not gonna be invited to your birthday?

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_00]: You get it

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Man this is serious

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_03]: It's an exclusive deal

[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It's our joint birthday

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_01]: That we have every year

[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Hounded

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Aaron and Dan's

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Birthday bash

[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Over time

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I do have some Letterboxd reviews for you

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Love to hear them

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_01]: For the Letterboxd viewers that have

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Watched this movie

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Shane says

[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_01]: This dog had a hunger for human flesh

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It should probably be put down

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Fair

[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Clara two stars

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_01]: This is why I'm more of a cat person

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Her name is Clara two stars?

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_01]: No Clara

[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_01]: I got it

[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_01]: It's actually Clara

[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Frog emoji

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And a rat emoji

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't wanna get into that

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah yeah

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Two stars from Clara that says

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_01]: This is why I'm more of a cat person

[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Also thanks

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Ed Vark says

[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Half a star

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_01]: They played literally

[00:30:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Every single bite sound effect

[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_01]: In this movie

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Plus a solid boing sound

[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_01]: When the dog was supposed to jump

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Like a kangaroo

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Adam says

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Sarah Paxson rolled up in a wheelchair

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And I knew it was only downhill from there

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Jacob says

[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_01]: One star

[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Not one editor cared while making this movie

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_01]: They shot a prop dog out of an air cannon twice

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_01]: And Kev says one and a half stars

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Shia LaWolf

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh boy

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_01]: This movie was rough

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Kev

[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_01]: How did we think this movie aged over time?

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Erin, had you seen this movie?

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I had not

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_03]: This was the first time

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I had not either

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_00]: None of us have an overtime segment

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a fact

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_03]: None of us have an overtime

[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess we'll do a

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just tell a hot take

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_03]: A hot take

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_01]: What did you think about this movie?

[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Um

[00:31:20] [SPEAKER_03]: This movie was a lot

[00:31:24] I don't know

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's complicated

[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I think

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_03]: The segment in the middle

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Where the dog is absolutely destroying Jay and his brother

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And the entire house

[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Is really painful to sit through

[00:31:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Literally drove us to drink

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Like

[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_03]: We had a beer or two while watching this movie

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Literally we were like, well we've got to do something

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Like

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_03]: It goes on far too long

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I think

[00:31:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just a mess

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was really like

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Should we stop watching this movie?

[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's the first time I've ever thought that in a decom

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Even through like can of worms

[00:31:58] [SPEAKER_03]: And don't look under the bed

[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_03]: There was something I was hoping to get out of it

[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_03]: But even at that point where the dog is destroying the house

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_03]: We still didn't have a plot

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So I was like, I don't know what I'm rooting for here

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And

[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Outside of that

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean there is this nice brother relationship

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Where they never really got along

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And they learn to work together

[00:32:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And see, you know

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_03]: They become friends, I guess

[00:32:23] [SPEAKER_03]: But

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_03]: The hijinks

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_03]: The plan at the end of Frame Ronnie

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Is all great

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I just feel like we

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Didn't know how to get there

[00:32:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they filmed an entire movie

[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And still didn't know how to get there

[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_03]: So the movie has great pieces

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But as a whole

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It didn't work for me

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_00]: What?

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Unbelievable

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Graham?

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Hounded is an excellent short film

[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_01]: As a full length movie

[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_01]: It is not great

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Mainly because

[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_01]: As mentioned

[00:32:54] [SPEAKER_01]: There is a

[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Very, very long part of this movie

[00:32:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is just

[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_01]: How many times can we shoot this dog across the room?

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And

[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_01]: In how many different ways?

[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And it is like

[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_01]: They are individually like

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Funny moments

[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_01]: But it is

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It just wears on you

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_01]: And by the end of it you are like

[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I am exhausted

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And if that was the goal

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Like hey let's make people feel as exhausted

[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_01]: As Jay is in this moment

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Then I guess mission accomplice

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It is

[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_00]: It is easy for you to say

[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Mission accomplice?

[00:33:26] [SPEAKER_00]: But over

[00:33:27] [SPEAKER_00]: You are the accomplice to the mission?

[00:33:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes I am

[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievable

[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I am a mission accomplice

[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay

[00:33:32] [SPEAKER_01]: It is a new movie franchise I am starting

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It is about

[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Never mind

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_01]: I would watch

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:33:38] [SPEAKER_01]: So this movie is not great for that reason

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_01]: There are a lot of

[00:33:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Really solid performances

[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_01]: It was great to see Shia LaBeouf as I remember him

[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Because this is crazily enough

[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_01]: In the middle of even Stevens

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_01]: He's trying to do this in the middle of even Stevens

[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why he is not the lead in this

[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they made it beforehand

[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it did

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe even Stevens hadn't taken off yet

[00:34:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm curious

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean I haven't seen even Stevens in a very long time

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_03]: But was

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Was Lewis always

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_03]: The star?

[00:34:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Or was it more about Wren?

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I think Lewis was always the star

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh we have to go back and look

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it is about them

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Like as siblings

[00:34:22] [SPEAKER_01]: So I think in the beginning

[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Because she like

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_03]: She was Kim Possible

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And she had other DCOMs

[00:34:27] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know maybe

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_03]: This was his first chance to be like

[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Could you be the lead of a

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah well it is not the last we will see of

[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_01]: One Shia LaBeouf

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_01]: While doing the show

[00:34:38] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll see him at least two more times

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_01]: This movie in summary

[00:34:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Is a better idea

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And a better short film than it is a full boy

[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's unfortunate

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I think we had something that could have worked here

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And at the end of the day I was just tired

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_01]: By the end

[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Dano?

[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah I blame weirdly enough

[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Kind of Home Alone for this movie

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a thing that happens when trends start in cinema

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And they end up starting with really good intentions

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And then they devolve into nonsense

[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And by the time they make it to the Disney Channel

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_00]: That's right

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So like there was a twist ending

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Like the Sixth Sense in 98-ish

[00:35:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Started this weird thing

[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Not weird

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_00]: This like tradition or fad in cinema

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Where movies just had twist endings

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And they were terrible movies

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_00]: But they were being made by the dozen

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Just because of twist endings

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And it got to the point where

[00:35:31] [SPEAKER_00]: You were watching movies

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And that it didn't make any sense

[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_00]: But you knew there was a big big twist coming

[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And that was the thing

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_00]: After Home Alone

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_00]: There was a rash of kids hijinks

[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Like wherever the house gets destroyed movies

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And there was a rash weirdly enough

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Not Home Alone related

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Of animal

[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Like movies where animals are the star of the movie

[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And this is 10 years removed from that

[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_00]: The bottom of the barrel reduction sauce

[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Of what if we just make

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Animal and Home Alone hijinks the movie

[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's unfortunate

[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Because I do think like

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_00]: When my kids were five or six years old

[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_00]: They probably would have laughed for

[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_00]: 20 or 30 straight minutes in this movie

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_00]: There are

[00:36:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Hijinks abound

[00:36:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It is not a movie that holds up

[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Under any scrutiny

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Scrutiny

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Scrutiny is mission accomplices

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_00]: But that's the person on the computer

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't hold up under any scrutiny at all

[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_00]: There is virtually no plot

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_00]: That makes any sense in this movie

[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_00]: You're here for the dog hijinks

[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone involved across the board

[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Is better than this movie from an acting standpoint

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_00]: That is the thing

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Is we've seen some bad movies

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_00]: And there's some bad performances

[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Bad kid performances, bad adult performances

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_00]: This is a bad movie

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_00]: With universally

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Uniformly amazing performances

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Ed Begley Jr.

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Shia LaBeouf

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Taj Mowry

[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_00]: These guys are all

[00:36:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Punching way below their class here

[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_00]: They are so much more talented

[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Than this movie gives them credit for

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And so it's weird

[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a weird movie to rank

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Because it's not good

[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_00]: It was insufferable in moments

[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_00]: But the cast is so much better

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Than the movie is

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_00]: So it was in a tough spot

[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'll say

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Well let's talk about that tough spot

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_01]: We have to make our list

[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_01]: We gotta put it somewhere

[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Erin, have you given it thought?

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know where this movie is gonna land for you?

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_03]: It has landed somewhere

[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_03]: For me

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_03]: But like Dan said

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_03]: It's hard to rank it

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Because there are

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_03]: The ending of the movie I liked

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Where the plan all comes together

[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know justice is served

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But then yeah

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_03]: There are just parts of that movie
