[00:00:03] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast.
[00:00:06] Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!
[00:00:17] 20!
[00:00:18] We did it!
[00:00:19] 20, 20, 20, 20!
[00:00:20] To the haters out there that said we wouldn't make it here!
[00:00:27] I think there's haters in the building.
[00:00:29] Shove off!
[00:00:30] Shove off!
[00:00:31] Yeah, man.
[00:00:32] And not only that, we're close to 30,000 downloads.
[00:00:35] Wow.
[00:00:36] 20 episodes.
[00:00:37] That feels good.
[00:00:38] I mean, we're doing it.
[00:00:39] So Brian didn't think we could do it, but Brian downloaded our podcast 30,000 times.
[00:00:43] That's crazy.
[00:00:44] Over and over again.
[00:00:45] Thanks, Brian.
[00:00:46] But let's just cut to the chase, everybody.
[00:00:48] Everyone, I know what you're thinking.
[00:00:50] Did they make it?
[00:00:51] Did they make it?
[00:00:52] Well, before you do this, Brian, if we're just being honest, we're recording this 10
[00:00:59] days before it releases.
[00:01:00] Oh, you're right.
[00:01:02] So do we have 93 reviews right now?
[00:01:04] Yes.
[00:01:05] Did we want 100 by 20?
[00:01:07] Yes.
[00:01:08] Technically speaking, we won't know the full results until we record episode 21, because
[00:01:13] I think we're going to be on hiatus a week after this one.
[00:01:15] Yeah, that's true.
[00:01:16] So we've given ourselves an extra, some buffer.
[00:01:19] There's a buffer.
[00:01:20] To get to 100 by 20.
[00:01:21] There's a buffer.
[00:01:22] Technically speaking.
[00:01:23] Technically speaking.
[00:01:24] You're right.
[00:01:25] How about this one, though?
[00:01:26] This is from DMH2012.
[00:01:29] This is another reason I look forward to Fridays.
[00:01:31] This podcast was recommended to me back in March by Spotify.
[00:01:36] So someone that's never heard Dyke the Hallmark or any of the other shows that we do, they
[00:01:41] found us on Spotify.
[00:01:43] I already rated it there, gosh, but then figured I'd come here to help by the 100 by 20 goal.
[00:01:50] I always look forward to Fridays as a kid because I was so excited to watch whatever
[00:01:54] D-Com was coming on that week.
[00:01:56] Now I get the same sense of excitement waiting for this podcast every week.
[00:02:01] Thanks for the nostalgia.
[00:02:02] By the way, Disney was channel 22, but it eventually changed to channel 42 and that's
[00:02:06] where it is still to this day in San Antonio, Texas.
[00:02:09] DMH2012, thank you so much.
[00:02:11] How about that?
[00:02:12] I love that.
[00:02:13] I love that a lot.
[00:02:14] AlexRV93.
[00:02:15] Yeah.
[00:02:16] Hello, Brian, Dan, and Erin.
[00:02:17] Hello.
[00:02:18] Dedicated listener here on a family member's phone who probably doesn't even know who you
[00:02:21] are.
[00:02:22] Love this podcast and keep up the good work.
[00:02:24] 100 by 20, Halloween town forever.
[00:02:27] Patiently waiting for true confessions and cheetah girls.
[00:02:29] Oh my gosh.
[00:02:30] I'm also waiting for cheetah girls.
[00:02:31] I'm real nervous about true confessions.
[00:02:33] What is it about?
[00:02:34] Shia LaBeouf sent it.
[00:02:35] Okay.
[00:02:36] Uh-huh.
[00:02:37] Uh-oh.
[00:02:38] We all sound uneasy.
[00:02:39] It is going to be a tough watch.
[00:02:43] A tough watch.
[00:02:44] I don't even know what we're going to do for Ticket to the Tape that day.
[00:02:48] We're just going to stare at it and Erin and I are going to sob.
[00:02:53] Why?
[00:02:54] Because, Dan, we are.
[00:02:58] What's wrong with you?
[00:02:59] It's a sad movie.
[00:03:01] It's a sad movie?
[00:03:02] What do you mean?
[00:03:03] It's a D-com, guys.
[00:03:04] Like, what are we talking about?
[00:03:05] We've already tackled Apartheid.
[00:03:06] How much sadder can it be?
[00:03:07] It's sadder.
[00:03:08] Not sadder than Apartheid.
[00:03:09] Wow.
[00:03:10] That's a little weirder.
[00:03:11] That's what a racist would say.
[00:03:12] No, no, no.
[00:03:13] Sorry.
[00:03:14] The movie is sadder.
[00:03:15] Not that Apartheid.
[00:03:16] Clearly, that's a lot sadder.
[00:03:17] But you would agree.
[00:03:18] The movie, it is all heavy, it feels like.
[00:03:19] And then kind of weird.
[00:03:20] Those weird stuff.
[00:03:21] Yeah.
[00:03:22] There is one.
[00:03:23] It's an indie film.
[00:03:24] It's a movie.
[00:03:25] It's an indie film.
[00:03:26] It's a movie.
[00:03:27] It's a movie.
[00:03:30] I'm trying to act, though.
[00:03:31] Yes, he will be acting.
[00:03:34] He will be acting.
[00:03:35] There is one scene with the baseball hat that still makes me cry.
[00:03:38] Yes, yes.
[00:03:39] I will cry.
[00:03:40] Guys, come on.
[00:03:41] All I want you to know, Dan, because I'm not going to tell you any more about the movie,
[00:03:47] it is as close to an indie film as D-coms will get.
[00:03:51] True Confessions with no E in True TRU?
[00:03:54] That's right.
[00:03:55] Her name is True.
[00:03:56] But don't read about it.
[00:03:57] I'm not going to read about it.
[00:03:58] Just go in blind.
[00:03:59] Go in blind.
[00:04:01] You're right.
[00:04:02] Well, I mean, you knew that it was without an E, so I was concerned you were already
[00:04:05] there.
[00:04:06] You were already on your way.
[00:04:07] You were already on your way.
[00:04:08] Oh, okay, great.
[00:04:09] Yeah, I like that.
[00:04:10] Today we're talking about Quince, though.
[00:04:12] What better way to celebrate 20 than with five?
[00:04:15] Hey-oh!
[00:04:16] Love what you did there.
[00:04:18] Thank you.
[00:04:19] And what better way to celebrate Quince than with a wonderful Dulwich?
[00:04:23] When I saw this, and I don't know anything about it because Aaron does the Dulwich segment,
[00:04:27] but when I saw it on the table, I was like, that's Quince.
[00:04:31] No, I know.
[00:04:33] I get exactly what she's going for here.
[00:04:34] For those that are watching on YouTube, I'll do the delicious segment today.
[00:04:38] Don't worry.
[00:04:39] This looks like bourbon with...
[00:04:44] Just take mine.
[00:04:46] ...cinnamon toast crunch in it.
[00:04:47] Is there more to it, Aaron?
[00:04:49] Yours is more aesthetically pleasing.
[00:04:50] Rocks.
[00:04:51] Yeah, yeah.
[00:04:52] No, so it is cinnamon toast crunch infused bourbon.
[00:04:56] Oh, oh, okay.
[00:04:58] So I poured bourbon and then cinnamon toast crunch.
[00:05:01] I thought that you bought a special bourbon infused and then also...
[00:05:05] No, I made cinnamon toast crunch infused bourbon.
[00:05:08] Now what is the tie-in here?
[00:05:10] Or do you want me to help?
[00:05:12] So...
[00:05:13] If you had five kids, you would need bourbon.
[00:05:17] So the tie-in is at the beginning of the movie, the mother is very scatterbrained even before
[00:05:24] she gets quince and she is pouring beverages into all different containers.
[00:05:29] This is really good.
[00:05:30] You know, coffee into just like drinking glasses, orange juice into mugs.
[00:05:35] Can only imagine what would happen when you add quince to the mix.
[00:05:39] So maybe if you had quince, you pour a bowl of cereal, there's some bourbon in there instead
[00:05:42] of milk.
[00:05:43] You add bourbon in your cereal.
[00:05:44] Whoopsie daisy.
[00:05:45] Whoopsie daisy.
[00:05:46] It's delish.
[00:05:47] Delish to everybody out there.
[00:05:48] Cheers, everybody.
[00:05:49] It tastes like bourbon.
[00:05:50] Really strong bourbon.
[00:05:55] Yeah, it's really strong bourbon.
[00:05:56] Good thing it's not 1045 in the morning, you know.
[00:06:05] How about I do this?
[00:06:06] I'm going to dip.
[00:06:07] Yeah.
[00:06:08] Yeah, I think with a spoon, if it was like actually a bowl and I was getting the actual
[00:06:20] crunch.
[00:06:21] I mean, if you took the cinnamon toast crunch out of it, this would probably be something
[00:06:25] I would drink closer to the holidays with the cinnamon.
[00:06:28] Yeah.
[00:06:29] I mean, it's a 10 a.m. bourbon.
[00:06:32] It's a 10 a.m. bourbon.
[00:06:33] Listen, sometimes if you've got five plus one child, if you have five kids, time doesn't
[00:06:40] matter.
[00:06:41] Like 10 a.m. is as good as 10 p.m. to start drinking because you've been up all night.
[00:06:47] Sometimes it's 10 a.m. and it's time for a Smashburger, you know.
[00:06:49] Sometimes it's 10 a.m. and it's ready for bourbon.
[00:06:51] No, Matt was proof wrong on that.
[00:06:53] There's nothing.
[00:06:54] It's always time for a Smashburger.
[00:06:56] All right.
[00:06:57] Unless you're Brian at the airport because when Brian goes to the airport, Smashburger's
[00:07:01] closed.
[00:07:02] That was your delicious segment for the day.
[00:07:04] No, he went to Smashburger and it was closed.
[00:07:06] It was locked and everything.
[00:07:09] If you all would like to go and make one of these yourself, you could do it right now.
[00:07:12] We're going to take a quick break.
[00:07:13] We're going to come back and we're going to talk all about quince, everybody.
[00:07:17] And quince.
[00:07:18] And quince right here on the 20th episode of Decomm De Simmons.
[00:07:30] Welcome back, everybody.
[00:07:36] And it's time for ComChat.
[00:07:38] ComChat.
[00:07:39] See, isn't it good though when you take it out and it's on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch,
[00:07:43] Dan?
[00:07:44] Isn't it good?
[00:07:45] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:07:46] It's got a little something on it.
[00:07:47] It's good.
[00:07:48] It's good.
[00:07:49] I was just talking about how with ginger beer, I think this drink works.
[00:07:50] And I was saying we have ginger beer in the fridge and if there was someone not on camera
[00:07:55] and could grab that ginger beer, that'd be cool.
[00:07:58] There's nothing we can do though.
[00:07:59] There's no way to.
[00:08:00] If we had like, you know, Seth was here.
[00:08:04] We do actually need something today.
[00:08:08] Let's talk quince.
[00:08:09] It's a it's a it's ComChat time.
[00:08:11] August 18th, 2000 is when this movie came out right before my birthday.
[00:08:18] It is the return of one Kimberly J. Brown.
[00:08:21] Say it.
[00:08:22] Say it.
[00:08:23] Lee J. Brown.
[00:08:24] Say it, Dan.
[00:08:25] Kim is in the house.
[00:08:26] No, Kimberly.
[00:08:27] You said Kimberly.
[00:08:28] I said at one time because I was emotional.
[00:08:29] Kimberly J. Brown.
[00:08:30] I'm emotional right now about it.
[00:08:32] Daniel Roebuck, Elizabeth Moorhead, one one Jake Epstein in the house and then a quick
[00:08:42] a quick little performance by Don Knotts.
[00:08:46] What's going on here?
[00:08:47] We're making him drink brand.
[00:08:49] It's 10 a.m.
[00:08:50] We're drinking bourbon.
[00:08:51] What do you want?
[00:08:52] You want some or no?
[00:08:53] Yes.
[00:08:54] I mean, if you guys are doing it, I might as well try it.
[00:08:55] Okay.
[00:08:56] Yeah.
[00:08:57] Try it.
[00:08:58] Try it first.
[00:08:59] Okay.
[00:09:00] So we have Bill Cochran, Corcoran, Corcoran, who directs some movies nowadays like made
[00:09:06] for TV rom-coms.
[00:09:07] I'm sure we've probably seen one of his movies for our other show, Deck the Hallmark before.
[00:09:12] So that's who directed this movie.
[00:09:14] Are you ready?
[00:09:15] You're doing a great job.
[00:09:16] You're doing awesome, buddy.
[00:09:17] Thank you.
[00:09:18] No Mulligan would ever replace you.
[00:09:20] No.
[00:09:21] Are you guys ready to dive in?
[00:09:22] Sure.
[00:09:24] The movie starts with like lots of newspapers talking about the Grover quints and they're
[00:09:32] famous.
[00:09:33] They're like famous quintuplets.
[00:09:35] They're the first ever quints in what we think is Massachusetts.
[00:09:38] That's exactly right.
[00:09:39] So it's a pretty big deal.
[00:09:41] And we're told about these quints by one eighth grader, Jamie.
[00:09:47] Jamie is in the house and...
[00:09:49] Jimmy J.
[00:09:50] That's exactly right.
[00:09:51] And she's like...
[00:09:52] Hey, what up?
[00:09:53] This is my story.
[00:09:55] This is my song.
[00:09:56] Praising my savior all the day long.
[00:09:58] And she's like, let's back it up a little bit before these quints existed.
[00:10:02] Yeah, how did we get here?
[00:10:03] That's exactly right.
[00:10:04] So and if you think that's going to be the end of the narration or talking directly to
[00:10:10] the camera or Tom Fuller...
[00:10:12] This movie is very heavy on the Tom Fullery via like, hey, we're just going to lie.
[00:10:19] They don't have a lot of...
[00:10:20] They lie a lot.
[00:10:21] They don't have a lot of quintuplet hijinks in this movie.
[00:10:23] No, no, almost none.
[00:10:24] There's a lot of other hijinks that make up for that with all of the...
[00:10:28] This is what my school looks like.
[00:10:30] JK, it's not.
[00:10:31] Over and over again.
[00:10:32] Yeah, my school is so fun.
[00:10:33] We have pep rallies and cotton candy.
[00:10:35] And then she's like, JK, it's just a normal school.
[00:10:37] Right.
[00:10:38] Now her goal is to get into George Washington Science Magnet School, GW if you will.
[00:10:43] Classic Bostonian George Washington.
[00:10:45] Which at some points we call GW.
[00:10:47] Sometimes we call Washington.
[00:10:48] Sometimes we just call it Magnet.
[00:10:51] And I was never at once confused thinking she was applying to multiple schools.
[00:10:54] No.
[00:10:55] It made sense to me that everyone would call the school something different.
[00:10:58] I kind of loved it.
[00:10:59] It makes sense that George Washington Magnet School would be in Virginia where he's from.
[00:11:02] Yeah, but instead we put it right outside of Boston.
[00:11:05] He was our president too.
[00:11:06] Yeah, he was.
[00:11:07] That's true.
[00:11:09] The problem...
[00:11:10] I say it's her goal, but really it is more her parents' goal.
[00:11:14] Her parents, her dad specifically has lots of plans.
[00:11:17] He's a big planner.
[00:11:18] And she kind of is like, I got to stick to the plan.
[00:11:22] The problem with getting into GW, getting into Washington, getting into the MAG, is that her...
[00:11:28] Kimmy J in the MAG.
[00:11:29] That's exactly right.
[00:11:30] Her grades aren't as good as they should be.
[00:11:33] She has a couple of friends.
[00:11:34] They really love report cards.
[00:11:36] We want A's.
[00:11:39] Yeah.
[00:11:40] At a school that I think gives out report cards every two weeks.
[00:11:43] Yeah.
[00:11:44] Or every nine to ten months.
[00:11:45] I don't know.
[00:11:46] It's like a half.
[00:11:47] I'm not sure exactly how it goes, but they do chant before opening like their grades are a surprise.
[00:11:53] And they did not earn them all semester long.
[00:11:55] The last Friday of every month we get a new report card or something.
[00:11:58] I got a 65 on every test I took, but I'm going to chant a few times and maybe it's an A.
[00:12:03] We want A's.
[00:12:05] I mean, Kimmy J is a witch.
[00:12:07] You never know.
[00:12:08] Kimmy J is a witch.
[00:12:09] That's true.
[00:12:10] That's true.
[00:12:11] New information brought to the table.
[00:12:13] So she is shocked one day when she comes home and her mom is pregnant.
[00:12:19] She's been an only child for her entire life.
[00:12:22] So this is big, big news.
[00:12:25] Bigger news, quints.
[00:12:29] And quints.
[00:12:30] There is some confusion about, I mean, right when the mom finds out she's pregnant, I believe that they think it's just like one kid.
[00:12:37] And then it looks like they're prepping for triplets.
[00:12:40] They get the giant nursery that somehow fits in that house.
[00:12:43] The giant nursery ready.
[00:12:45] And I swear there are only three cribs when they left for the hospital.
[00:12:51] Yeah, there may have been.
[00:12:53] I don't know.
[00:12:54] There is a bassinet on the changing table.
[00:12:56] Which you shouldn't do, by the way.
[00:12:58] We don't know if that was supposed to be a sleeping arrangement or just a resting place to put the baby down.
[00:13:04] I don't know.
[00:13:05] It's a great little montage though.
[00:13:07] January to September, you know, a classic school year.
[00:13:10] Classic school year.
[00:13:11] Where you go, you get a report card in January, you get another one in September.
[00:13:14] We all know that.
[00:13:15] You're still in eighth grade for both of those report cards.
[00:13:18] The three report card times of eighth grade are January, September, and March.
[00:13:22] And we know that.
[00:13:23] We know that information.
[00:13:24] How do all year schools operate?
[00:13:27] Do they operate August to August?
[00:13:30] They're still full quarters.
[00:13:31] Yeah, but do you start in January?
[00:13:34] I don't know.
[00:13:35] I would assume that you start and end in the summer just like...
[00:13:39] You would think so.
[00:13:40] Yeah, there's no way that...
[00:13:41] I think my school district when I was growing up, there was a proposal to switch to that.
[00:13:46] And I do think you still started in the fall.
[00:13:49] And then you got like a two-week break in the summer.
[00:13:52] Yeah, they get a lot of breaks.
[00:13:54] The one that Greenwood County does it here and they get all of July off.
[00:13:57] Still, even though it's year round, which is I'm like here for it.
[00:14:01] Now that I'm not in school, especially.
[00:14:03] It's not a bad gig for parents.
[00:14:06] So they are the...
[00:14:08] They're Quinns, as you mentioned, they're in the first ever Quinns ever born in Massachusetts.
[00:14:12] In a state.
[00:14:13] They never confirm it's Mass, but based on some landmarks, the internet thinks it's Mass.
[00:14:18] Yes.
[00:14:19] Yes.
[00:14:20] So...
[00:14:21] Milford, Massachusetts to be specific, which one of us is from there?
[00:14:24] Why not say you?
[00:14:27] One of us.
[00:14:28] Keep us in suspense.
[00:14:29] Could be any of us.
[00:14:30] Could be any of us.
[00:14:31] I am from Massachusetts.
[00:14:33] Surprise.
[00:14:34] They are...
[00:14:35] I don't like talking about it.
[00:14:37] They are quickly, quickly overwhelmed at the caring of these five newborns.
[00:14:43] I'm overwhelmed watching them try to care for these newborns.
[00:14:46] I'm having...
[00:14:48] I'm getting antsy and my stomach starts to hurt.
[00:14:51] And Jamie is kind of like...
[00:14:54] Kind of forgetting about her a little bit.
[00:14:56] She's just kind of there coming and going.
[00:14:59] She helps out when she can, all that good stuff.
[00:15:01] But clearly they're very overwhelmed by this.
[00:15:04] And so she decides I need to figure out something for myself.
[00:15:08] And so I'm going to pick up a new hobby.
[00:15:10] I'm going to do art.
[00:15:11] Now, art's never been something she's really pursued before.
[00:15:14] Her heart's never been in it.
[00:15:15] Her heart's never been in it, but it's never...
[00:15:16] Well, it's not necessarily that her heart's never been in it.
[00:15:18] It's never been something that her parents have wanted her to pursue.
[00:15:21] Doesn't the teacher specifically say your heart has not been in it?
[00:15:24] Like he says your heart is not in the art.
[00:15:26] Yeah, but her heart was never in it because she never thought...
[00:15:29] Why would I try it?
[00:15:30] Maybe her heart could be in it, but right now her heart's just not in it.
[00:15:33] She finds herself being intrigued by art, to say the least.
[00:15:36] It's not that she was like her whole life being like, I hate art.
[00:15:38] It was just my parents want me to win science fairs.
[00:15:40] Right.
[00:15:41] The family decides we need to hire a nanny.
[00:15:45] So they hire someone named Fiona.
[00:15:47] Fiona has a very strict plan.
[00:15:50] We're going to keep these babies on a schedule.
[00:15:52] And you do try to keep babies on a schedule to a certain extent.
[00:15:55] I don't know how you do it with five.
[00:15:57] But Fiona's big plan is that A,
[00:16:00] she can care for all five of these babies by herself.
[00:16:03] False.
[00:16:04] And she is going to get all five babies on the same schedule.
[00:16:08] Bathroom schedule.
[00:16:09] Like everything, feeding, bathroom, sleeping.
[00:16:12] Not just a nap schedule.
[00:16:13] Oh my gosh.
[00:16:14] We're going to poop at the same time.
[00:16:16] But like, you know...
[00:16:17] Here's what you need to know as someone who raised twins.
[00:16:21] You don't want that.
[00:16:24] You don't want them pooping at the same time.
[00:16:26] It's a nightmare.
[00:16:28] Yeah, I would want them to poop at different times.
[00:16:31] If you're changing one diaper,
[00:16:32] the other one could get that diaper off while you're changing the one.
[00:16:36] You don't want them all to poop together.
[00:16:39] It is just the worst idea I've ever heard.
[00:16:42] Don't know.
[00:16:44] Absolutely not.
[00:16:46] It's the same here in the office.
[00:16:47] Dan and I don't poop at the same time either.
[00:16:48] We try not to.
[00:16:49] Because one of us has to be here at all times.
[00:16:50] Yeah.
[00:16:51] You can't trust Brian and Erin in here.
[00:16:53] No, no.
[00:16:54] One of us has to be in the room at all times.
[00:16:56] It would burn down.
[00:16:57] So many times we're like...
[00:16:58] I think if we were going to leave two employees in here,
[00:17:01] Brian and Erin would be amazing.
[00:17:04] And maybe Dan and Brian would burn the place down.
[00:17:06] Thank you.
[00:17:07] How interesting.
[00:17:08] We ran the company a little bit okay for a little while.
[00:17:10] There was a hole in the ceiling.
[00:17:12] I don't know.
[00:17:13] There's a hole in the ceiling.
[00:17:14] But that wasn't our fault.
[00:17:15] That wasn't our fault.
[00:17:16] You can't prove it's fire.
[00:17:17] You never said that that was a problem.
[00:17:21] You were cool.
[00:17:22] You were cool.
[00:17:23] Moving your entire life to Greenville
[00:17:25] to work at a place with a hole in the ceiling.
[00:17:28] I will say I was hired before that really happened.
[00:17:30] But when you got here, it was like that.
[00:17:33] But you told me we were moving offices.
[00:17:35] But you took the job first.
[00:17:39] Don't try to skirt around this, Erin.
[00:17:41] No, no, no.
[00:17:43] All I'm trying to say is Dan and I don't poop at the same time.
[00:17:45] We don't.
[00:17:46] That's all we're saying.
[00:17:47] Part of the problem is there's not two stalls.
[00:17:49] True.
[00:17:50] I'd have to go upstairs, which I have done before.
[00:17:52] Am I giving too much information about the poop arrangement?
[00:17:58] Fiona came in and got us all on a schedule.
[00:18:00] It's fine.
[00:18:01] We're all on a schedule.
[00:18:02] We all have our schedule of when we can drink water,
[00:18:04] when we can feed ourselves.
[00:18:06] Yeah, so Fiona figured it out for us.
[00:18:08] That's what we need to know.
[00:18:09] That's right.
[00:18:10] But the quints become a little bit too much for Fiona.
[00:18:13] They're not as easy going as Dan and I.
[00:18:16] At one point she tells the babies to shut up,
[00:18:18] which is a move for sure.
[00:18:22] It's tough, man.
[00:18:23] At one point she forgets that she's wearing the babies.
[00:18:25] She's like, I've lost four and five.
[00:18:28] And she's like wearing them in a little carrier.
[00:18:30] And if you're out there right now.
[00:18:31] She does number them.
[00:18:32] She refuses to use their name.
[00:18:33] She does number them.
[00:18:34] So getting the care that they need.
[00:18:36] Babies one, two, three, four, five.
[00:18:37] Jamie, the oldest, number six.
[00:18:39] If you're out there right now and you have a newborn,
[00:18:41] I just want you to know you're doing a great job.
[00:18:42] Doing a great job.
[00:18:43] It's not that we never poop at the same time.
[00:18:48] I'm sure we've pooped at the same time before.
[00:18:51] It's just more ideal if we don't.
[00:18:53] Sometimes you just wait.
[00:18:56] Because we eat a lot of the same food.
[00:18:57] We do.
[00:18:58] Yeah, you would think that we'd be on some sort of schedule.
[00:19:03] Well, I mean, Bran drinks like 100 ounces of water a day.
[00:19:08] No, pee schedule, no way.
[00:19:09] No, I mean, I'm not going to lie.
[00:19:11] No, pee schedule, no way.
[00:19:14] No way.
[00:19:15] No, no, no, no.
[00:19:16] There's no way we'd be on that schedule.
[00:19:18] There's no way.
[00:19:19] And Erin doesn't poop.
[00:19:20] She's a girl.
[00:19:21] So it's like, you know, we're all like, it's different around here.
[00:19:24] It's more poop heavy than I thought it was going to be.
[00:19:27] Two stalls in the women's bathroom though.
[00:19:29] That's messed up, man.
[00:19:31] Where's the equality?
[00:19:33] That's right.
[00:19:34] Probably got a couch in there too, don't you?
[00:19:36] What I learned from Boy Meets World.
[00:19:39] So anyway, Fiona decides I can't do this.
[00:19:41] So she leaves and just as she leaves, there's a knock on the door.
[00:19:44] Who is it?
[00:19:45] There's no answer.
[00:19:46] Who is it?
[00:19:47] They're not saying anything.
[00:19:49] So finally they go over, they open the door and it is a diaper company.
[00:19:53] It's a diaper company.
[00:19:55] And Albert.
[00:19:56] A guy named Albert from the diaper company.
[00:19:58] And he says he would like to sponsor the baby.
[00:20:02] Babies.
[00:20:04] They are going to be the face of.
[00:20:06] Cutie pants.
[00:20:07] Cutie pants diapers.
[00:20:09] And that's pretty big, pretty, pretty big.
[00:20:11] Pretty big.
[00:20:12] Cutie pie.
[00:20:14] Cutie pants.
[00:20:15] Cutie pants.
[00:20:16] Yeah.
[00:20:17] Now you might be wondering to yourself self.
[00:20:19] They're babies.
[00:20:21] How?
[00:20:22] What are we going to do?
[00:20:23] They're they're only babies for so long.
[00:20:25] Baby.
[00:20:26] That's the kind of thing about babies.
[00:20:28] He does have a plan.
[00:20:30] Albert is very committed to making sure that the babies stay relevant and in the news for as long as possible.
[00:20:37] A key part of this.
[00:20:39] A key part of this is is not allowing Jamie to be anywhere around the family ever.
[00:20:47] To be fair to Albert, who's an awful human being and he doesn't need to be fair to.
[00:20:52] He does make them a lot of money and allow them to do this and get child care.
[00:20:57] And mom gets really into it.
[00:20:59] Mom's like constantly like we got to.
[00:21:01] This is their prime time for baby.
[00:21:03] Like she's very into this idea.
[00:21:05] And it kind of takes over her life.
[00:21:07] And then dad is still for some reason having to work all the time.
[00:21:11] And I don't think mom has gone back to work.
[00:21:14] Right.
[00:21:15] But you would think with how much publicity you're the face.
[00:21:18] The only thing that Gerber babies parents had to work again.
[00:21:22] Gerber baby.
[00:21:24] This is cutie pants.
[00:21:26] This is cutie pants diapers.
[00:21:28] It's the fate.
[00:21:29] They're the face.
[00:21:31] Face of cutie pants.
[00:21:32] They are the cutie pants.
[00:21:33] And so but anyway dad has to work.
[00:21:36] I do think the parents of the Gerber baby had to work again.
[00:21:39] Oh Aaron.
[00:21:41] You are going to say that's hello.
[00:21:43] A deck of our dot com.
[00:21:45] You're going to get the Gerber.
[00:21:47] The Gerber's are going to come for you submitted a photo.
[00:21:49] I don't I don't think you.
[00:21:51] Whatever you say Aaron.
[00:21:53] Just good luck with all those emails.
[00:21:55] You don't mess with the Gerber's.
[00:21:57] Dan did that one time.
[00:21:59] Yeah.
[00:22:00] He still he still is living in that reality now.
[00:22:03] So yeah that's happening.
[00:22:05] So there are the parents are very invested.
[00:22:07] No royalties from the use.
[00:22:09] So the parents are like really invested.
[00:22:12] So like I said Aaron they didn't make any money make any money Aaron.
[00:22:16] So that's why I fear for men because we don't have as many stalls as women.
[00:22:20] How many times do I have to tell you.
[00:22:23] What are you gonna tell us next you poop.
[00:22:25] Stop gaslighting me.
[00:22:27] I poop.
[00:22:28] So the diaper company.
[00:22:32] It's really rough out there for women.
[00:22:34] Finally.
[00:22:35] Thank you.
[00:22:36] So finally white dudes we are struggling right now.
[00:22:40] We have fewer stalls.
[00:22:43] No.
[00:22:44] Damn it.
[00:22:45] No couch.
[00:22:50] I think we just steal their couch.
[00:22:54] Bring it.
[00:22:55] We should have you one of the stalls too.
[00:22:57] We'll make it work.
[00:22:58] Do what we can.
[00:22:59] We just switch the signs.
[00:23:01] It's less work.
[00:23:02] That's what we're good at.
[00:23:03] Y'all could figure out urinals like it's still like get the job done.
[00:23:08] Right.
[00:23:10] So what we're trying to say is Jamie's feeling a little bit.
[00:23:14] You can email brand at deck the hallmark.
[00:23:17] Listen so Jamie Jamie's feeling neglected and having fun here.
[00:23:23] But I'm not going to lie.
[00:23:25] I'm not going to lie.
[00:23:26] Jamie's feeling neglected and having fun here.
[00:23:29] We're having fun.
[00:23:30] We're having fun.
[00:23:32] Zero fun is had here.
[00:23:34] They decide maybe Jamie should be a part.
[00:23:37] Jamie Jamie's going to be a part of the next commercial.
[00:23:40] We want to make sure Jamie feels included.
[00:23:42] And so to do that they just put her in a diaper costume and she's like I don't want to.
[00:23:46] I don't want to do this.
[00:23:47] I don't want to be a part.
[00:23:49] She is a human sized diaper.
[00:23:50] Tough other.
[00:23:51] So this is this is really great for her though that the art is taking off.
[00:23:57] She's very invested in art.
[00:23:59] She's getting really good at it.
[00:24:01] Her teacher is like being like you're great at this.
[00:24:04] Her best friends are also like encouraging her like you're really good at the art like Brad especially.
[00:24:11] It's like that is so amped up.
[00:24:13] You need to follow what you want to do.
[00:24:16] Yeah.
[00:24:17] And his little cute little sweater vest and stuff.
[00:24:18] Yeah.
[00:24:19] What is wild.
[00:24:21] She finds out that she is going to be a part of the upcoming art show which is huge.
[00:24:31] This is huge and she can't wait to go tell one student from she's going to be in the main room of a main room and been selected.
[00:24:38] Right.
[00:24:39] Of the many students in that art class.
[00:24:41] So she goes to tell her parents and this is big because her parents don't even know she likes art.
[00:24:45] And so she goes to tell them and they are thrilled for her.
[00:24:49] Yeah.
[00:24:50] She panics that they're going to be like oh you are.
[00:24:53] But they're actually very supportive.
[00:24:55] Yes.
[00:24:56] Now they are supportive for all of one one minute.
[00:25:00] Yeah.
[00:25:01] One minute because Albert comes in and says y'all I got great news.
[00:25:04] I figured out how we can get at least another year out of out of the quints.
[00:25:09] And it is I got you parents of the year.
[00:25:15] Boy they did it.
[00:25:16] They're the boys.
[00:25:18] And so Jamie's art show is Saturday and parent of the year gala is Saturday.
[00:25:24] Also Saturday.
[00:25:26] So invitation says it clear as day.
[00:25:28] And they don't even like they don't even act like they have anything.
[00:25:31] They're just like this is like in the era of like you know just paper calendars.
[00:25:36] They have cell phones and stuff.
[00:25:38] There's pilots.
[00:25:39] No mention of of this is a conflict.
[00:25:43] No they were talking about it literally one minute before.
[00:25:46] Yes.
[00:25:47] Correct in.
[00:25:48] So this happens and she is so mad.
[00:25:51] She runs into school and she's rips up all of her art and she's like I don't know.
[00:25:56] Her artwork is her brothers and sisters of the quints.
[00:26:00] Yeah.
[00:26:01] Jamie's big thing I'll move along is that everyone is marketing the kids as the quints
[00:26:06] and they're a unit of their five babies but they're like a one unit.
[00:26:10] And her whole thing is like they are individuals you know and you know trying to get her parents
[00:26:15] to understand that Adam is different from Becky and Eddie you know she's trying to point out
[00:26:19] trying to get her parents to be better realized maybe be parents of the year
[00:26:23] or children or individuals and not a conglomerate.
[00:26:26] Yeah.
[00:26:27] And so she's been working on a project of you know sketching each baby and she immediately
[00:26:32] runs to school rips it up because she's like my parents are never going to see me.
[00:26:36] So she stays.
[00:26:37] Great scene.
[00:26:38] It is great.
[00:26:39] Kimberly Brown crushing.
[00:26:41] Oh the pocket.
[00:26:43] She she spends the next little while mad at her parents.
[00:26:47] She looks at that invitation she gets a little chin quiver.
[00:26:50] Yeah.
[00:26:51] Stop it.
[00:26:52] Amazing.
[00:26:53] So she's mad for a little while and one day at school somebody comes in and tells her
[00:26:59] that there's some news everything's OK but there's some news and the news is is that
[00:27:02] little baby Adam something's happened to little baby Adam and Adam is in the hospital
[00:27:07] and so she runs to the hospital through she's ripped up all her.
[00:27:10] Yeah.
[00:27:11] And so she rushes to the hospital and she begins to talk to her parents in this moment
[00:27:19] just about what she's been learning about herself and kind of figuring herself out
[00:27:24] and becoming her own person doesn't want to follow her dad's plan and wants to be
[00:27:29] wants to.
[00:27:30] She loves art.
[00:27:31] Maybe that's what she wants to do.
[00:27:32] Maybe she doesn't want to go to college and so she's like laying all this out in front
[00:27:35] of her parents and it takes until this moment early when the quints come home and Jamie
[00:27:40] does the whole like they're individuals you need to look at them as such.
[00:27:45] It takes until Adam gets sick and it's possible where the mom's like I heard you but I didn't
[00:27:49] understand what you meant.
[00:27:51] It just dawned on me that like the quints aren't as their actual mother.
[00:27:56] They're real mom.
[00:27:57] And she's like I finally understand what you're saying is that they are individual children
[00:28:02] yay.
[00:28:03] They're five months old and it took you till now to see that they are tough out there
[00:28:09] parents of the year.
[00:28:10] That's right.
[00:28:11] And so then Albert comes into the hospital and Albert's like how long is this baby going
[00:28:16] to be out.
[00:28:17] What are we going to do.
[00:28:18] This is we can't lose a week or two like that's money that we're we're losing and it's at this
[00:28:23] point that dad looks at him and it's like you know what Albert.
[00:28:26] Well he says we're going to replace Adam.
[00:28:29] It's just a baby.
[00:28:30] He's yeah.
[00:28:32] We'll just get another five month old and they're like what you can't just replace one
[00:28:37] of our children.
[00:28:39] And that's when dad realizes.
[00:28:41] They fire Albert which I didn't really know that that was a thing that you could do.
[00:28:47] I agent the way I understood it is he wasn't he was there and had coordinated smarty smarty
[00:28:53] pants cutie pants.
[00:28:54] Okay.
[00:28:55] Yeah that's what I saw.
[00:28:57] He was just an agent and I think he came to them with that brand being like this is what
[00:29:02] I can do for you.
[00:29:04] I bought him all the diapers.
[00:29:06] Yeah.
[00:29:07] And that was a brilliant strategy for he didn't buy the diapers.
[00:29:09] He signed them onto a deal without their signature.
[00:29:13] He basically had them bring all those diapers out so you get these if you think I think
[00:29:17] he got like the brand to donate the diapers.
[00:29:20] I don't think he bought the diapers and was like together.
[00:29:24] This could be more special.
[00:29:26] Yeah.
[00:29:27] Yeah.
[00:29:28] He acquired the doctor.
[00:29:30] That's right.
[00:29:32] Yes.
[00:29:33] He got I do wonder sometimes about child entertainment laws.
[00:29:35] It did seem with the schedule he kept talking about.
[00:29:37] I don't think you can have babies.
[00:29:39] We're getting that many do that and then their commitment to filming commercials in their
[00:29:43] driveway and bringing in an entire set and crew to their little neighborhood above and
[00:29:48] rather than just taking the five kids to a studio.
[00:29:51] Sure.
[00:29:53] So after the incident with Adam Jamie is basically like you know what there's stuff is more important
[00:30:01] than the art show.
[00:30:03] Other art shows and so I am going to never be parent of the year again.
[00:30:08] They won't.
[00:30:10] They definitely will not.
[00:30:12] This one's definitely not this is a fluke.
[00:30:14] Quite how this is it.
[00:30:16] But yeah we all know.
[00:30:18] So I'm not comparing here again and we heard they should have been parents.
[00:30:22] Jamie and her friends agreed to babysit the five five children have a team of sitters.
[00:30:28] I don't know why we couldn't have used them but we got three eighth graders for five infants
[00:30:34] solid since the ratio works there.
[00:30:36] But when the parents more than the one mom did.
[00:30:39] Sure sure.
[00:30:41] But when the parents show up at the parent of the year gala the governor is there.
[00:30:45] Played by the venerable Don Knotts.
[00:30:47] He's amazing.
[00:30:49] Phenomenal.
[00:30:51] And I'm mad he was never actually massaged as governor.
[00:30:54] Well he'd be amazing.
[00:30:56] And he he says where are the where are the quints.
[00:30:59] Where are the twamps?
[00:31:01] And he is only interested in doing this whole ceremony if the quints are there.
[00:31:06] He's here for a photo op.
[00:31:08] He thought that he was going to meet these babies.
[00:31:10] We find out that on the invitation it says you and the quints are invited to the gala.
[00:31:15] A 7 p.m. dinner.
[00:31:17] That's right.
[00:31:19] Perfect time.
[00:31:21] Perfect time for the day.
[00:31:23] Is there anything you'd rather not do than that.
[00:31:25] Like no.
[00:31:27] That's like you have babies.
[00:31:29] Could you bring them to a 7 p.m. gala.
[00:31:31] Like an hour away.
[00:31:33] Yeah.
[00:31:35] And then the gala is going to last hours and hours.
[00:31:37] I just I don't want to really go to a gala without my kids much less with them.
[00:31:41] Yeah galas aren't my thing but a gala with infants a gala with baby.
[00:31:45] If you need somebody to go to a gala with you.
[00:31:47] What is it about galas that do it for you.
[00:31:50] I want to wear a pretty dress.
[00:31:52] Yeah.
[00:31:54] And have a really nice meal.
[00:31:56] The dress up.
[00:31:58] And sometimes there's a bar.
[00:32:00] I would say that I'm I'm not mad at a gala.
[00:32:02] I just need to know the purpose.
[00:32:04] I'm not going to them for fun.
[00:32:06] But if there's something worth celebrating that I'm a part of.
[00:32:08] Yeah sure.
[00:32:10] Why not.
[00:32:12] But if somebody's like you just want to just do the gala circuit.
[00:32:13] Yeah.
[00:32:15] I did.
[00:32:17] I was a part of the gala circuit there for you.
[00:32:19] I know you were you were in the minors weren't you.
[00:32:21] I was in the minors.
[00:32:23] Yeah.
[00:32:25] Play double a ball.
[00:32:27] Yep yep.
[00:32:29] Double A.
[00:32:31] Yep.
[00:32:33] Yep.
[00:32:34] And so I actually in in honest honesty here I did go to a lot of galas when I
[00:32:37] worked for the church I was the youngest and so they would get invites they
[00:32:40] would invite me to go to galas and I would go to one or two and I didn't
[00:32:44] get any kids.
[00:32:46] And at the time I was like this is dope you get free meal and stuff.
[00:32:48] And then I was just like I don't like it.
[00:32:50] It's not fun for me.
[00:32:52] And I end up getting really sad lots of times.
[00:32:54] As soon as you enter into the stage in life where free food alone is not
[00:32:57] enough to get you to an event.
[00:32:59] That is when gala become a little bit.
[00:33:01] So when you know you're getting old.
[00:33:03] That's right.
[00:33:04] Yeah.
[00:33:06] I don't think I could do multiple but I would like to go to one or two.
[00:33:08] Sure.
[00:33:10] I guess it's the MC a gala.
[00:33:12] They did.
[00:33:14] And we said it probably isn't the right probably not a great fit.
[00:33:16] The Oscars.
[00:33:18] Yes.
[00:33:20] Something like that.
[00:33:22] Yes.
[00:33:24] So Jamie I guess looks at the invitation after they leave and sees that and so
[00:33:27] she's like oh my gosh we got to get the quints to the gal.
[00:33:30] She calls her art teacher because he has a van.
[00:33:33] A VW van.
[00:33:35] Because when the parents are driving around have they gotten a minivan.
[00:33:38] I don't know.
[00:33:40] That's the only time I saw them in a car with a kid.
[00:33:42] I don't know if a minivan is fitting everyone they're going to have to get a 15.
[00:33:44] Like they're going to have to get something better than a minivan bigger
[00:33:47] than a minivan.
[00:33:49] Yeah.
[00:33:50] I mean you wouldn't have enough seats.
[00:33:52] No.
[00:33:54] It's a mess out there in 2000.
[00:33:56] You're going to have you have to have big giant car.
[00:33:58] Because yeah because even if you had enough seats like you can't have three
[00:34:01] babies in the back of that car alone.
[00:34:03] Too many babies.
[00:34:05] Too many babies.
[00:34:06] No cars ready for this.
[00:34:08] Oh yeah.
[00:34:10] That's what I call them.
[00:34:12] So then the VW.
[00:34:14] The VW van.
[00:34:16] 15 pass.
[00:34:18] Breaks down.
[00:34:20] They then take the bus to the subway and then they meet some bikers and from
[00:34:25] there the bikers take it.
[00:34:27] They say we know understand that the bikers all had motorcycles at the stop
[00:34:32] car seat carry.
[00:34:34] Yeah.
[00:34:35] I mean it just looks like they like carried them from.
[00:34:37] I don't know them at arm's length that not like carried them like carried
[00:34:40] them.
[00:34:41] I mean if this is really Boston like there is a T stop right across the
[00:34:45] street.
[00:34:46] So like yeah I believe that they could have done that just walked in with
[00:34:49] the baby.
[00:34:51] Why are the bikers on the subway to begin with.
[00:34:53] Why did the bike the bikers are the biggest mystery.
[00:34:55] It could be it's not necessary.
[00:34:57] It could be that the bikers.
[00:34:59] Parked took the subway somewhere and then subway back but I don't know why
[00:35:04] you would do that you have your bikes bikers like to bike.
[00:35:07] I was going to bike bikers going to bike any who.
[00:35:08] The they get their bikers and all and everybody is so excited and the
[00:35:14] governor's like thank you so much Jamie for bringing.
[00:35:16] Thank you so much for bringing the the quints.
[00:35:19] It'll take you anywhere you take you.
[00:35:21] The limo is going to take you anywhere you want to go and we're like yeah
[00:35:24] they're going to go to the art show.
[00:35:26] Now Jamie does this thing throughout the movie where she just lies to you
[00:35:29] the viewer and then it's like you pay attention.
[00:35:31] And so when she told us her parents weren't supportive of her art.
[00:35:35] Just kidding.
[00:35:36] Just kidding.
[00:35:38] Super mean.
[00:35:40] Just kidding.
[00:35:42] Just kidding.
[00:35:44] Just kidding.
[00:35:46] It's a joke.
[00:35:48] I'm funny and so they get to the art show and she ends up winning the blue
[00:35:51] ribbon and then her parents and the quints and the governor show up because
[00:35:56] they're like once you left we totally remember we done goofed.
[00:35:59] As soon as you walked away.
[00:36:01] We remembered and there was that thing that we wouldn't be parents of the
[00:36:03] year if we weren't here to support you.
[00:36:05] And so they take it.
[00:36:07] I don't know anything about art but I know what I like.
[00:36:10] Don not.
[00:36:12] He doesn't explain that.
[00:36:14] You and me both pal.
[00:36:16] And bikers one in one day.
[00:36:18] That's right.
[00:36:20] And so then the more confused with the biker is like Don Knotts can say
[00:36:22] whatever he wants.
[00:36:24] I'm like yeah.
[00:36:26] National National Treasure.
[00:36:28] So the movie ends with a national hero.
[00:36:30] The movie ends with them back at the house and they're all one big
[00:36:33] happy family and they're going to get bigger.
[00:36:36] Fake boy fake.
[00:36:38] Yeah.
[00:36:40] Mom is sitting there with a newspaper and I was like oh they try to tell me
[00:36:43] mom's pregnant and Jimmy J does try to tell us that mom is having
[00:36:47] septuplets but then it's a big funny it's a big time.
[00:36:51] It's a big funny prank time.
[00:36:53] It's hilarious.
[00:36:55] I'll say a quick break.
[00:36:57] We'll come back talk about this movie a little bit more.
[00:36:59] You're on Decom descendants.
[00:37:00] Check the homework.
[00:37:09] Welcome back everybody.
[00:37:11] We're talking about Quince Quince and Quince movie number 20.
[00:37:18] Can you believe it?
[00:37:20] I can't believe five plus months.
[00:37:22] I honestly can't believe it.
[00:37:24] It's just flown by.
[00:37:26] It's crazy if you would if you if you're just now finding us and you

[00:37:45] Let's talk Quince.
[00:37:47] It's not for overtime.
[00:37:49] It's where we talk about how this movie aged over time.
[00:37:52] Let's start with some letterboxd reviews shall we.
[00:37:55] This is from Emily who says this Halloween town girl was like Disney's
[00:38:00] first Hillary Miley Selena before social media and honestly good for her.
[00:38:06] And she was yeah.
[00:38:08] Kimberly J Brown was was was the real deal for Disney Zara says the way
[00:38:15] the idea of being upset with your parents didn't go to your parent
[00:38:20] teacher conference is completely alien to me for real like girl that's
[00:38:24] the best case scenario you won.
[00:38:27] True we didn't talk about that that in that instance.
[00:38:30] Parents not going to a parent teacher conference is a win.
[00:38:33] Great.
[00:38:35] Yes great.
[00:38:37] Claire O'Brien Conan's daughter says stop checking to see if I'm paying
[00:38:41] attention.
[00:38:43] I'm not paying attention.
[00:38:45] Great.
[00:38:47] Haiku Dan says two and a half stars.
[00:38:49] These parents these parents suck though.
[00:38:51] As for the protagonist this bee keeps lying.
[00:38:54] Oh right.
[00:38:56] Yeah.
[00:38:57] It's a different IQ Dan.
[00:38:58] I'll tell you if it was mine.
[00:39:00] Rami Rami says she's just saying saying s.
[00:39:07] You can say you can say that word.
[00:39:10] You can read a review that has.
[00:39:12] She's saying stuff.
[00:39:14] Kate Milner says a master class in unreliable narrators.
[00:39:20] Jules says my uterus hurts just thinking about this movie to be honest.
[00:39:25] Dark Niko fear says is this how my abandoned 100 babies challenge Sims
[00:39:35] feel at all times.
[00:39:37] I'm a monster and then go get him says the governor is Don nuts.
[00:39:41] The governor is Don.
[00:39:43] Not.
[00:39:45] Yeah.
[00:39:46] What did we think of the movie.
[00:39:48] Let's find out.
[00:39:50] Aaron had you seen this movie before.
[00:39:52] If so how do you feel like this movie aged over time.
[00:39:53] I do remember watching this movie when it came out.
[00:39:56] Decom premieres were pretty big for me and big.
[00:40:02] I said it and I hated it.
[00:40:04] Turned in here right.
[00:40:06] Come on.
[00:40:07] It's a big deal.
[00:40:09] So I remember being really excited.
[00:40:11] I recognized Kimberly J Brown from Halloween Town and I was like yeah this is going to be a good time.
[00:40:15] And it stressed me out.
[00:40:17] I think the idea I have one younger brother.
[00:40:19] I think the idea of potentially having five younger siblings I at just about 10 years old said absolutely not.
[00:40:26] And I never watched the movie again.
[00:40:28] My only memories of this movie was it's very stressful.
[00:40:31] I thought the baby hijinks were way more.
[00:40:33] And so this is one of the first decomms where I think it got better as I got older.
[00:40:39] There is a lot more.
[00:40:41] The babies really aren't on screen all that often.
[00:40:43] And it's more about Jamie figuring out who she is getting her parents to recognize like her as an individual and not just part of this unit.
[00:40:54] The babies as individuals.
[00:40:56] And there are some real emotion in those scenes.
[00:40:59] So yeah I really liked this movie more than I ever remembered like in this movie.
[00:41:04] There you have it.
[00:41:06] You did that for the Muniz one.
[00:41:08] Yeah I had never seen that full one.
[00:41:10] This one I do remember watching and just the idea of it for the last 24 years has stressed me out.
[00:41:17] Finding some hidden gems here is what I'm doing.
[00:41:20] Yeah I still the idea of having quints.
[00:41:24] No thank you.
[00:41:28] I love the idea of twins but not in reality.
[00:41:33] You're amazing.
[00:41:35] Two of them.
[00:41:37] That's a lot.
[00:41:38] So yeah I don't want them for myself but it was a good movie.
[00:41:43] I think that this movie hinges on the performance of Kimberly J. Brown.
[00:41:50] Without Kimberly J. Brown I don't know how much I like this movie.
[00:41:54] But Kimberly J. Brown gives a great performance and I feel her teenage angst.
[00:42:01] I feel the frustration of I just want to do like I want to do me and figure myself out.
[00:42:08] And I also want my parents to be supportive like all of the feelings that she has in this movie.
[00:42:14] I felt I didn't she just she performed really well in this movie.
[00:42:19] Movie stressed me out real bad.
[00:42:22] Quinn sounds like a nightmare and I don't know.
[00:42:27] I just I don't know.
[00:42:28] I can't talk about it.
[00:42:30] I just start getting too anxious.
[00:42:33] It just wouldn't it would be bad.
[00:42:35] It would be bad news.
[00:42:37] I like the movie I think a good bit.
[00:42:40] It was there's something about it that I just felt like works.
[00:42:43] The breakdown the fourth wall.
[00:42:45] I liked it until I didn't like it.
[00:42:49] It's unnecessary a lot of the time.
[00:42:52] There were a couple of times where I feel like it was useful to the plot.
[00:42:55] And then a lot of times where we're just doing this.
[00:42:59] Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
[00:43:01] If you would take like the whole ice cream fake out know we're at the art show need that didn't get it all.
[00:43:06] But I just go to the art show.
[00:43:08] She is really charming when she does it and like her the her ability to act with facial expressions like looking at the camera is really good.
[00:43:20] So she is comfortable on so much of this movie is just about hey.
[00:43:25] Is Kimberly J Brown good or not and luckily she is good.
[00:43:28] And so a movie that probably shouldn't work ended up working a lot for me.
[00:43:32] And so kudos to the team.
[00:43:34] I was thinking about when you said a lot of this hinges on Kimberly J Brown.
[00:43:37] I was thinking about it like if they had put another actor in like what if instead of having these heartfelt moments with Jamie.
[00:43:43] You have an actor who's in here with hijinks with her friends hijinks of the baby.
[00:43:48] I don't think the movie works that way.
[00:43:50] I think it stresses me out and I never watch it again.
[00:43:51] Yeah.
[00:43:53] And I can think of a few actors we've seen so far that if they are just doing what they're trying to do what Kimberly's doing in this movie and it's just like wolf not good.
[00:44:02] So a lot of this movie is entire.
[00:44:05] It's a Kimberly J Brown showcase.
[00:44:07] Dano.
[00:44:09] Yeah, I don't disagree with that.
[00:44:11] I think Kimberly J Brown is amazing.
[00:44:13] She is just the best that we've seen so far.
[00:44:16] And I'm starting to think maybe Halloween Town is even better because of her.
[00:44:19] She's unbelievable.
[00:44:21] She's really really good in this movie.
[00:44:23] If you look at this movie as a fun D-com coming of age tale, it really works the baby stuff necessary doesn't really work kind of made me uncomfortable.
[00:44:34] The parents are terrible in this movie.
[00:44:37] But as a kid who's realizing she has to figure out for herself what she loves and not try to just gain her parents approval.
[00:44:45] It does work and it works because she's so very good.
[00:44:50] And so it's not perfect.
[00:44:52] It's not it doesn't all click all the time.
[00:44:55] But when she's on screen and it's not really about the babies, it's just the effect of the baby's not the cause that then it actually works a lot better.
[00:45:04] Anytime you get bogged down with like how they taking care of these kids or why they have them all five in a room or why is the dad doesn't know the kids names like that stuff did drive me crazy.
[00:45:13] But the 50 minutes of just Kimberly J Brown doing her thing awesome like best of the best.
[00:45:21] So yeah way better than I was anticipating based upon some early early comments from both of you guys coming in.
[00:45:27] So yeah, yeah enjoyed it.
[00:45:29] Let's see where it's going to land on our list.
[00:45:34] It's been a little bit rocky the past few weeks a couple of movies that haven't even broken the top 10.
[00:45:39] On their debut debut.
[00:45:42] So let's find out where this one's going to land.
[00:45:45] Aaron did quince break it.
[00:45:48] If you had asked me this morning before we watched quince I would have said this is going to be another movie that's not making my top 10.
[00:45:56] It's not going to debut in the top 10 and it shocked me that it is.
[00:46:00] So we'll find out where that is in just a second.
[00:46:03] But I have number 10 rip girls number nine.
[00:46:06] Up up and away eight brink.
[00:46:10] Seven xenon six quince five Halloween town for smart house three color friendship to miracle lane two and one Johnny tsunami.
[00:46:22] What was kicked out of your list to put quince in at number six alley cat strike alley cat strong.
[00:46:29] Obviously for me 10 xenon.
[00:46:33] It's just hanging on by a thread there and number nine don't look under the bed number eight say hello to quince for me number seven genius number six alley cat strike number five Halloween town number four miracle lane two three smart house to Johnny tsunami and number one the greatest movie of all time brink.
