[00:00:54] If only they we had clones. Yeah, I could have done this show for us. Yeah, you know, it's unbelievable But I mean, can you believe it? We did it. I can't I can't believe it I know my brother

[00:01:26] So I only got to watch Disney Channel when babysitting which is how I watched most of the D comes as a teenager I enjoyed them as much as the kids and it was a good time every time. Thanks for the great podcast PS

[00:01:51] I know I know I was in the hundreds, but I don't think I ever had an 800 Well, I mean when I we direct TV they went up through a thousand like it went all too many

[00:01:59] It's too many but the 900s when we had cable like that like then 900s are all music channels Yeah, they were all they weren't all taken Yeah skip around we have a thousand case we need it. Yeah, cuz we don't want to not have it I need it

[00:02:13] Yeah, you know what? We do want to have though a delish segment We didn't say welcome to become descendants or anything. We just jumped right into the list I said is while you guys were shocked that we were doing a podcast. It's just no

[00:02:42] No, I don't need you to explain why but for the people listening. Yeah Could you yeah, I definitely can great so We also we record ourselves watching this movie So if you just ramble Jim plus

[00:02:57] Take the tape calm you can buy that episode. I will explain it a little bit in that episode, but I'll re-explain it here Sometimes we watch the movie and record the episode on the same day Like we took 10 days off and are trying to catch up

[00:03:11] And Aaron hadn't seen this movie in 10 years and for some reason I have this very distinct memory that the clone of Andy Eats a lot of pop-tarts. I don't know why I had that like in my head

[00:03:25] And so I was like, yeah, of course, I'm we love pop-tarts here pop-tart o'clock Perfect. I'm gonna make pop-tarts and then we watched the movie and there wasn't a single pop-tart So anyway, I made pop-tarts fair enough

[00:03:37] But there are two flavors and there are two what are what is this a pop-tart cake a pop-tart bread It's a pop-tart shortbread. Okay So there is brown sugar cinnamon brown cinnamon sugar and then a strawberry Now there are two pop-tarts there are two will brownings

[00:03:57] There we did it. That's right pop-tarts Pop-tarts come in packs of two as well. Yes twins so lot like and you know, you can't mix and match or usually there's a same so almost like they Someone down at the old Kellogg

[00:04:14] Corporation figured out cloning and they said what do we apply this to and they said pop-tart. That's what we apply it to I'm not mad at this at all Solid really good While they were baking in my house

[00:04:30] It was almost like full-on cartoon where I was in my room while they were baking and I was just reading and I was like So good I just like walk into the kitchen like it's my kitchen Wow, how about that?

[00:04:42] So are they hard to make no just shortbread. Yeah, I mean it took The longest part was before you ice them They have to chill for an hour in the fridge and that was probably the longest part Yeah, you want to try it? I whipped up to I

[00:05:06] I'm calling you now What happened It's I have an avatar of myself on my phone and it dances when you call me I said some weird, dude It was obviously Aaron dancing What happens if I do this? Show to the camera, let's see. Can you see it? Yeah

[00:05:31] You're so happy about getting calls It's pretty exciting. I will say But yeah, um say no more I think I made two I made two of these last night super easy delicious

[00:06:38] He thought it was birthday cake and then just to see I was like, I did say strawberry when I presented them Yeah, you did. No, no, it's completely on me I'm trying to be a team player and the brown sugar cinnamon was so good And I just

[00:06:52] It's not I don't this is not my thing They're not bad the textures excellent on it If I like strawberry filling like brain would love that brain might like that more than the brown sugar cinnamon one to be honest

[00:07:04] Wow, wow, I don't know. I don't know if I will or not. I'll see I'll see about it We're talking the other me The the DCOM that is no longer on Disney Plus Personal credit card he did is he regretting all of his life? Not

[00:07:25] Yourself you're in charge of that so what you can reimburse yourself $379 So this movie Yes, this movie premiered September 8th 2000 and Was written by Jeff There's a lot of letters there sector sector Who's apparently done he's an Nominated for two Emmy Awards a Writers Guild of America Award

[00:07:57] Wow about that pretty pretty big deal this guy and directed by Manny Cotto Who he seems like he's done a lot of stuff. He was a showrunner for Star Trek Enterprise and its final season

[00:08:12] Executive producer of four seasons of 24 executive producer and writer of the fifth season of the Showtime television show Dexter and Directed the other me a very very long Andy Lawrence is back, you know of you love them from horse sense the best Lawrence. I've said that for years

[00:08:33] I gotta be honest surprised by That this movie is so soon after horse sense it seemed it seemed in my mind that this was years later But no

[00:08:45] Yeah, I was reading on like the IMDB and some of the comments on IMDB made it sound like this was maybe filmed first And I don't think so. He seemed older

[00:08:55] But they were just kind of saying like it was his DCOM debut and I was like, I don't think it was No, maybe it was the fact that and Maybe he's such a good actor that he actually was older in horse sense

[00:09:09] But the fact that he was so obsessed with whittling a whistle that we were like, oh this must be a kid It's really the tucking the shirt into the jeans that makes them seem younger so much about a movie

[00:09:20] Mark Taylor is in this movie. Not the guy from Home Improvement The real real guy was disappointing to bring him. Well, yeah, I love Mark Taylor I'm talking about the lowest son. That's exactly no one loves Mark Taylor from Home Improvement. No, no one does he went through?

[00:09:38] No one he went through an emo phase. Remember that goth face still nobody cared he literally it's it's Jill and Tim and Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Zachary Ty Bryan and that's the cast and it's like oh, yeah, Mark Taylor's and Wilson

[00:09:52] Wilson obviously and horn al Heidi everyone other than Mark Taylor Yeah, the lowest son Allison Hill is in this movie. She is quite the career as well. I'm I let's dive into it Will Browning is the name Cloning is the game

[00:10:13] That we're talking about today. He's great at yo-yo. He rocks a denim jacket Girls are moving lockers to be closer to him. Tyler Hines is trying to murder him or make out with him You're not depending on the scene

[00:10:29] Girls it is what it is girl one girl girl is I and every waking moment, I believe yes. Yes. The only thing that I would say he is not good at is

[00:10:46] School acting. Okay. Oh, I'm sorry. It's on me. It's on me. Sorry the wrong thing. I just jumped the gun Listen, man, he's a fellow podcaster We we don't talk trash about fellow podcasters really really yeah, that is

[00:11:05] Starting right meow who we talking trash about not Andy Lawrence. That's for sure. You don't ever have opinions on podcasters No, I have opinions on sounds So, I mean I think I've said a lot of mean things about podcasters in this room

[00:11:21] Yeah, no, that's fair that is fair no, yes present company working His parents are massively disappointed Because you were all at the beach I don't think you came in you can't prove it can't breathe it He's not

[00:11:40] Cuz I came in one day at 10 a.m. It was dark I work from home Yeah, so he's not good at school his parents are very disappointed in his report card And he finds out that if he does not improve his

[00:11:56] Grades by the end of the year. He is gonna have to spend summer at Camp Spartacus That sounds serious. I don't know really know what they do there, but Camp Spartacus does not sound fun

[00:12:08] It's like a boot camp. Yeah, it's like military like a like a military school kind of thing Did you ever get threat threatened with a military boarding school? No Was that question for Aaron just for anyone anyone listening? Hey oldest daughter of a family in New England

[00:12:24] Did you ever get threatened with military school? No One time I got a C in high school and it was pretty pretty dire. Yeah, what was the class chemistry? Yeah

[00:12:35] But it wasn't my fault it was not a good teacher here we go I went to extra help all the time and I he just like Would do something like I was trying to we were trying to calculate using moles

[00:12:50] And I was like, I don't know how to do this and he would literally bring out his calculator He's like well you here's the equation He'd write the equation down and then he would like and then the answer is like I mean I was like yeah

[00:13:02] But it's how you got that sir that I don't understand and he never explained evidence 15 to 17 years later. You are over it Not what's his name Dr. Campo. Yeah. Yeah, ask Sarah Thompson about the one B. She ever made ever in her life. You will have

[00:13:21] Plenty to tell you you were saying that you don't believe he's a real doctor I did learn a lot about when he would go camping with his dog. So dr. Campo went camping So if that was the point The one thing you remember Dr. Campo

[00:13:39] Everybody is dr. Campo excited to be camping here today Talking about you know what I'm gonna make here on the fire campstove campstove Can't do a doctor. That's I remember from chemistry Bobby Campos his brother Bobby Campo

[00:13:58] One time we did make s'mores on the Bunsen burners and he didn't notice so if you want to know You probably would have loved it though, you guys Dr. Campo likes to camp together. Very nice man. Very nice man terrible teacher

[00:14:13] Because there's no way Aaron to see I think we can all agree on that. We can all agree on that So he's trying to figure out what he's gonna do for his science fair project and he sees an ad in the back of a

[00:14:27] Comic book as you do for something called ocean pups New yeah Reading an ad from 20 years ago. No, it was super weird. I Yeah, great point. So I had sea monkeys when I was a kid, which I think is basically the same thing

[00:14:47] They just like you pour these things in the water and then it's like if you really stare hard enough But like it's what you give your kids what do you want them to shut up about getting a pet?

[00:14:57] It's like, okay. Here's some sea monkeys. Here's some ocean pups You lose interest real fast So you could be cut to the ocean pups Laboratory and these scientists are not working on ocean

[00:15:13] Cannot have lights for the science experiment. Well, no, you don't need that would really need it to have lights They are see what you're working on not me they're working on Cloning you why you're not a scientist, right? They're working on cloning and they actually clone a

[00:15:30] Mouse is it a mouse or a rat? They clone some sort of small thing. It's a mouse and They're like this is amazing big day for us And then they proceed to put the mouse the mice and and Disney 100% understands how cloning works Yeah, 100%

[00:15:48] Drop drop and then double Double Dan fully grown. That's right ready to go doesn't know how to tell they they they put the the mice in a Thing think they close the door. They take a shot of some sort of liquid that we don't

[00:16:05] It looks like they are Working more on the cloning. I thought they were like, okay, we're gonna do this to ourselves now Yeah, or just that they were mixing up more. Okay, great the cloning serum works. We're gonna mix up some more and

[00:16:20] Then they drink it and it was just like a shot the other thing when they drink it I assume they're For sure, but the crazy about that scene is is the mice get out the cats like the whole Laboratory is pretty much destroyed. There's glass like

[00:16:36] crashing everywhere and the only consequence that we see is A little bit of a droplet goes into one box that Andy Lawrence is gonna get the Cloning formula spills on the ground Right over a crack in the floor that goes all the way through to the floor down

[00:17:01] Into the kit that Will Browning orders so really there's a lot of steps If you thought anything would happen to the animals like they would run into a different serum and something would happen

[00:17:12] No, we never see the animals again, nor do we see the weird next the next scene where there were They're looking at the aftermath of it. The animals are back in their cages. Yeah. Yeah, and there's like zero consequences

[00:17:23] Whatever, but the animals don't really matter the liquid that they drank doesn't matter but the goo that falls down onto the box does matter because Will gets the box of for the ocean pups puts the the packet of

[00:17:41] Pops in the water pups and you got to stir it around and he's looking around He's like what I stir around with No, it doesn't it doesn't come with that. And so he takes one of his combs that has you know, some hair Stirs it up

[00:17:58] Suddenly thing would put your come If I was going to if we're gonna equate this to sea monkeys I Would have at least taken the hair off the comb before I stirred it because I wouldn't want hair like floating around

[00:18:13] There's so many other things you and then I would have and then I never would have used that comb on my hair again Having said that as a middle school boy, I probably would have grabbed whatever was nearest

[00:18:23] Yeah, if that was a comb so be it but also as a middle school boy Going to boarding school as middle school boy. I my cone wouldn't be anywhere near my bed. I also Did not have my own bathroom in school. His rooms awesome amazing

[00:18:38] I would have done that experiment like at the kitchen table or something. Yeah. Yeah This is gonna get him an A in science, which is weird too. Yeah, I don't really know what the project is This is a pre-made He didn't do anything

[00:18:55] He's gonna bring this in the only thing he did on his own was stir This is why he's been getting F's and class because he's bringing like Consumer packaged goods as like I see I know what I'm doing here

[00:19:08] This is going to help him get out of Spartacus and it's going to send him to Spartacus. That's not gonna do it Yeah, it's it's a it's not a good plan to miss

[00:19:19] But what ends up happening is he does the stir stir and then things start going nuts things are the bubbles bubbles Sparks things come out of the water begin spinning around like a tornado. He goes into his bathroom to hide and The bedroom, yeah

[00:19:37] Cloning is happening in the in the private bathroom that that makes more sense to why there's a comb there And he closes the door when he opens it back up. He is surprised to find Himself a fully grown clone of himself naked someone's around naked somewhere

[00:19:56] He's got no clue. He's and he's just kind of he's got goo all over himself like a newborn baby and It's just weird. It's he's there do a whole like exercise where it's like well you could Which is a weird exercise to do with someone who's?

[00:20:15] Like he's it's not a mirror exercise he's copying him, but he's it's weird. It's weird That's not what you would do with a clone Yes, no, but it's like an acting camp where you like the mirror exercise or you and they Come on so

[00:20:35] The the clone who we call to II is We To Me to II So Sorry The two two ease starts to learn for a very specific audience It's the three of us. That's exactly right. Yes, I think so and a hundred and eight people who have left reviews

[00:21:07] Mainly for them and so How sweet my brother hasn't heard a dang thing I've done on this podcast I guarantee you hey Jimbo So They he starts to kind of realize that this clone knows nothing even made his friends watch the Halloween town episode

[00:21:29] Wow, I don't watch it like they like how they love Disney movies, so we had dinner with His friends Kim and Amanda and I walked in and Amanda was just like you have to tell me everything about what it's like to be on a podcast

[00:21:43] And she was telling me that they had watched the Halloween 10 episode and she loves the movie thought our podcast was really funny I also really likes Hallmark movies. You're a celebrity You never get used to All the time Or how one of you feels that's right, hey

[00:22:08] For Dan, you know why it's because I'm so much taller in person, that's right. They're just so struck by your height I did get recognized at the Greenville Market two weeks or three weeks ago, and I got that comment and I was like I

[00:22:22] Don't know what I have to do. Oh, do we have to do this? No, just take it in you are taller I'm taller in person. I'm taller than you think. Yeah So he starts to teach to II stuff

[00:22:35] Thankfully first off how to towel of course how to towel Teach me how to tell teach me teach me how to tell cuz he hands him a towel to get cleaned up and he just

[00:22:43] Puts on his head now does to we know how to read prolifically? Yes right away Does he know how to towel no, no doesn't know how to talk does know how to read I do think that those two typically but whatever

[00:22:58] To he reads books. He's learning all the stuff and It's at this point that will gets his aha moments if he's this good at learning and memorizing things I'm gonna just send him to school for me and that's my get out of Spartacus free card

[00:23:16] I I can I can send him to school. He'll get my grades up easy peasy lemon squeezy Will that that the shortcut is the guy that doesn't know how to towel is already smarter than me

[00:23:29] He's already smarter than me as in his current state. He didn't need any practice give that guy a book he's smarter than me who's been humaning for 13 or 14 years if you cloned yourself and your clone was just all around a funnier nicer cooler smarter person

[00:23:48] Would you try to be better I would be I'd be pretty pissed I think it's like If my clone was funnier smarter nicer better. I mean I could probably see nicer I would be like how how like I would be like I

[00:24:07] Did I'm the worst version of me? Mm-hmm. It's pretty bad. What happens here stay tuned every break Uh Okay, not a break so they They agree that he's gonna go to school They're gonna go to school to he's Right so two he's gonna go to school

[00:24:30] Sorry, so to we also by the way, and I think do you think this is important has watched TV one time? And Has seen people dance so just keep that in mind What's important what's important is that you know that

[00:24:50] he's watched the dance once and it's gonna come back a ton and It's an important part of what makes to eat to me and we all learn that dance. Yeah, we did Sorry everybody listening at home. We I hit the mic while dancing so

[00:25:07] To he goes to school and It's clear that something's up, but everybody's just kind of like he's he's so cool now He's so fun He goes and he tries frozen pizza for the first time and goes freaking nuts about it causing him to break out into a dance

[00:25:29] To over the course of that scene take three bites Each time of a full slice of frozen pizza, so Every time he's biting a piece of pizza. It's a brand new piece of people

[00:25:40] You didn't see was he would like have the pizza and then when it would cut to another student dancing. He would just Yeah, and then he would he's actually had another table and grab someone else's

[00:25:56] This ends up getting him sent to the principal's office because a quote-unquote started a riot which Means riot a dance riot. That's worse best case I mean really that's on the adults because if they had any supervision in that lunchroom

[00:26:09] They could have stopped that when he just dr. Campo is there this never would have but also just let the kids dance Let the kids dance They're all I could never be in charge of a lunchroom You can't let if there are a hundred kids in a lunchroom

[00:26:22] You can't let your kids say you can't let two kids at a table saying that's right because then it's mayhem for yes So, yeah, I let them dance look it's a fun Fun

[00:26:36] Behind yeah. Yeah. So at the principal's office he is sitting next to his rival Tyler Hines and They then bond over the fact that their dads aren't present which is So funny, it doesn't come back

[00:26:55] Like at what point when when Tyler Hines finally finds out that there is a clone Does he ever put it together that the only reason why they bonded in the first place? was that he doesn't have a dad and Yeah, Tyler

[00:27:11] Will does have a dad so I wonder if he's gonna go back to hating will at the end of this Yeah, absolutely and who wouldn't so Back to the the baddies in this movie they've obviously put together

[00:27:28] That something is happening names, but we could just call them like Marvin Harry We could call Marvin hair if you want to and they're in a van But whatever and they are trying to track down this kid will who called them

[00:27:41] When the whole incident was happening in the bathroom and said hey something crazy is going on they realized that this kid will has gotten the

[00:27:49] You know the cloning goo and something crazy has happened and they're like, what's he gonna do with it? How what's he gonna clone and they then get go to his house and kind of are gonna be hanging out and Yeah in a van

[00:28:08] Yeah, it's bait. It's home alone They're basically they're setting up a home alone ending to this movie The only thing is that nobody in the neighborhood is on vacation and yet nobody notices this, right?

[00:28:17] Nobody knows is the weird van with two grown men following children in this in this thing in the street Mommy's two guys came in a ice cream truck and they threw french fries at us There is a moment where they think the van is too creepy

[00:28:33] So they get an ice cream truck Which they think will be great for surveillance and they don't count on children actually wanting ice cream Yeah turns out the ice cream truck was The ice cream guy chucking french fries at children is creepier than just sitting in the van

[00:28:49] Was that his lunch like he just pulls a bag from behind the counter pulls out some fries and it's like chucking them at kids Cuz I save him for later like he's Brian Harrell out there So They are not Fiji ice cream because human hands were

[00:29:07] There was no world where feed you would have put their name on this that ice cream was really weird too. It was a weird texture anyway No, you know looking at it, it's like mold it's like like it moves weird It moves weird

[00:29:29] Right, I was one of the extras So Will obviously is at this point in time you know taking this in because because to he's getting the grades up and

[00:29:47] You know he gets to hang out and all my dreamcasts and send to all the things that he doesn't want to do Including sending to we to visit his grandpa grandpa Mordecai grandpa Mordecai who hasn't talked in decades

[00:30:01] I don't know how long hasn't talked in a long at least I would say at least three years Yeah, but to he gets Mordecai to speak they have quite the moment

[00:30:09] This is when I would be angry this right like it not before now my clone being whatever if I get to do whatever I want and my clones doing the hard work, but my grandfather who hasn't talked to me in three years

[00:30:21] He gets my grandfather to talk and I missed that Well, it's not I don't think in that moment that will cares that Mordecai talked I think it's I mean I would be upset that like oh

[00:30:33] Man all it took to get grandpa Mordecai to talk was just for someone to look him in the eye and ask him a question like somebody to initiate

[00:30:42] Like an animal unbelievable they've been treating Mordecai like he doesn't talk and just like yeah a part of the scenery and I'd be like man. I'm really the worst human being they dress up and they stand behind him They literally put on their church clothes

[00:30:55] And then just Mordecai is watching TV and the parents stand behind him and the kids just sit on the couch next to him And then that's their visit one of the weirder parts of this movie

[00:31:02] Is is that the dad has to wear the same tie every time he goes to see grandpa Mordecai? It's the only time he wears a tie all movie. It's his Mordecai. It's his Mordecai ties. It's more to talk

[00:31:11] He that's what he that's what he does yeah, yeah, all right, I think we're good we did everything we were supposed to do today So between Mordecai Between Mordecai and You know him starting to be more and more popular including even his sister thinking that he's cool now

[00:31:36] Will's like you know what I'm getting back out there Michael or somebody asked her out Carmichael Carmichael say no more oh you're the sister of You're the sister of the guy who dances candy Carmichael candy Carmichael Will decides that he's gonna go back to school, and he is

[00:31:56] Blown away at how he's being treated cheerleaders talking to him Tyler Hines Loves them saying hey, let's go in the hallway and Tyler Hines is like you apologize. Yeah, you apologize and also You know he just everybody's noticing him and and is really into him I didn't hear

[00:32:17] Why she was thanking him, but he did something for one of the teachers And she came up and was like thank you so much for doing that and Will was just like yeah, I guess yes So he's been going above and beyond

[00:32:27] Helping everyone and just being a good human being now the baddies are Still outside the house and at some point when I think it's two He's walking outside to go to school

[00:32:40] They look and they see two and then they look up into his window which they can get a really good view of yeah From where their parts are there and they realize that there's two of them and at this point No Just said he had cloned something

[00:32:57] They freak out and they realize we're gonna be filthy rich because we didn't even know this was possible We didn't know that you could clone people. We knew that it could happen to rats. We haven't got really would change

[00:33:09] Humanity as we know it this idea that these two guys have discovered in their dark science lab and Hawaiian shirts and puka shell Necklaces could literally change life as we know it and they're worried about a kid They discovered instantaneous cloning. That's right. Yes. Yes

[00:33:26] That only lasts for 30 days, which is even better Well, it's not permanent that's even better It's just they know how to make it permanent yes, but in marketing they have the built-in like yeah kill switch for the life Building kill switch. This is a kids movie

[00:33:48] What is the building attendance leave your 10 year old with us we'll teach him about kill switches for clones It's not so much a kill switch as it is kill switch. It is a kill what what else would it? It's the thing that makes it die in 30 days

[00:34:03] Yeah, it's a kill switch or less so The kill switches less Is happening? Yeah To eat leaves to go to the dance Obviously everyone knows about the dance when the baddies see him leaving for the dance or like oh he's going to the dance

[00:34:22] We've been we've been hearing so much about the buzz about the middle school dance You know as every Suburban family like this kid is going to the dance the dance starts at 7 p.m

[00:34:34] He's just gonna walk through the streets at night by himself. It's gonna walk. All right I mean my kids are only eight and I'm like, it's 630 Yeah, if you guys want to walk down to the store for me, they'd be fantastic. Yeah walk

[00:34:43] I know you walk to and from school, but now that it's not that it's dark out You could still just go meet up with Chucky and have some fun His best friend's name is Chucky. Yeah You didn't know that

[00:35:47] Reach for him But then he like high-fives Chucky and the older guy pulls the Hawaiian shirt bag. Hold on there There's some BS going on back there but didn't involve us of all of us doesn't concern us

[00:36:06] So they are gonna go to the social and at this point will who is watching outside of the window sees the two guys try to kidnap him and he runs out and He can see like they have a vial That's right

[00:36:26] Yes, so he in the center of the frame The kill switch is getting ready to be engaged with unless we give him this liquid and so they he runs through them and takes the thing and has to the social as you will and Will does social?

[00:36:45] There's more dancing Just for those of you playing at home. I think there's a total of three different group dances throughout this movie There's one in the cafeteria. Then there's two at the social itself, which is wonderful

[00:36:59] The first dance at the social is led by Tui. They do the dance again To he shows up and typical middle school dance no one is dancing

[00:37:11] So he gets out there. Yeah, I mean it's a him in this girl and his girl whose name we know we know her I Think it is Heather. Okay. All right She does bring in pizza so shout out And we discovered that that

[00:37:35] That would work for all of us. Yeah All of us would be in no matter how weird your voice is if you were would have brought me a pizza

[00:37:44] I think I even be excited if I was going on a date to dinner and he still gave me a pizza before I'd be Like thank you Flowers

[00:37:55] I mean if we're going to dinner and you don't want to do a whole full pizza. I would prefer like breadsticks or something overflowers 100% road snack

[00:38:07] In 30 rock where some guys trying to buy Tina Fey a drink she's like I already have a drink does he want to buy Me mozzarella sticks, right? Yeah, and I feel that I love mozzarella sticks

[00:38:18] You gonna make it I'm just kind of thinking about him now and how when you pull them apart and the cheese is just kind Of like hanging out there for a while. That's so fun

[00:38:27] So the dance so when he gets done with the group dance, obviously, he's like, come on everybody. Let's dance They do the punch punch through slap back He stumbles off the dance floor he's getting weak we get the knees and he goes to the bathroom

[00:38:45] No, he only had one bite The kill saw But he's a clone so it doesn't matter. It's not real. He's just a clone guys Yes, right, so which brand told me earlier definitively does not have a soul

[00:39:01] Does not matter not real that's not what I said. That's exactly That was yours that have a soul not real doesn't matter man, that is not how I remember he doesn't matter doesn't know

[00:39:12] So that's what you said. I was trying to make it a little bit for those of you at home complicated For those of you at home What do you think's more realistic me thinking that a clone has a soul or Dan thinking a clone has a soul?

[00:39:24] I didn't give an opinion. I asked the question Uh-huh. I just asked a question and you said it was too murky for you to give an answer I I would have to see the side. I would have to see you know, all those cells, you know

[00:41:49] Come up with that not coin the phrase that's wrong. It's yes Use the kill switch for this accurately it is This thing they clearly are cloning mice and animals regularly and letting them die

[00:42:03] You can get it sent to your house. You can clone something for 30 days and then it dies This is a normal procedure all of a sudden now that it's a person Now we have an ethical quandary on our hands I think it's always

[00:42:51] Like you are creating life just to murder clones just disappear My thing is is the way they've set this up is they've it's clearly not the same It's this weird bubbly skin suit thing

[00:43:05] It's not the same as the the the mouse that's cloned is not the same as the original mouse The Andy Lawrence that's cloned isn't the same as the original it's just a bag of cells It is and it's designed to die in 30 days

[00:43:20] That's how they set up the movie like they sell see but what if we cross the nation or whatever it is? But they've created something to keep it alive longer. No, no, and now you have two dashes You're totally fine with that bag of cells

[00:43:33] Only within the rules of the film Not how they would like how a cloning would work in our real world in the world They've created 30 days. You wouldn't get attached to a clone. It's not real in our world But they in the movie they created a longtime juice

[00:43:52] No, they didn't they 100% did ever created something called longtime juice If they created a juice that is in a little clear thing. Yeah, and if you drink it you live long time Namely the namely the bag of cells you're talking about would live long time Basically

[00:44:21] Will is going to cause a bit of a confusion here hoping steps hoping that the that old to to be over there can Get away or drink the thing or whatever. Go find to me and bring him back to the house and

[00:44:37] So that he can drink the bad guys watching him. And so he creates a crowd Yo, it's yo-yo He puts his love of yo-yo to the test It makes it a dance and everybody yo-yo former sponsor of legends of the hidden temple. Yeah, that's true facts

[00:44:58] So think how we got there will gets out or to tie him temple bag of cells They Use I think we got it First of all long juice is a different thing that probably has been created already They end up getting captured brought to weird

[00:45:24] Garage that they have oil that yeah, it is a car oil that it's a garage Movie have never been in a perfect garage it is they take them to a place that is perfect for a home alone ink Yeah, luckily we get a home alone ink

[00:45:39] Dan oh these two kids To we and will begin to do some hijinks causing all sorts of stuff to happen to these baddies Which is wonderful and it happens just in time for the police to come for to eat to drink long juice longtime juice so that he

[00:45:59] So call it Anything now he drinks a longtime juice and it causes him to no longer bubble and explode or cease to exist it causes them to live long time and Will's parents then show up

[00:46:14] Please the two told them that hey your hey your sons in is in the garage Yes, and So the police show up and they're like who's this guy and and he's basically like it's my identical cousin Kill it's one of the worst

[00:46:33] Explanations I've ever heard in my life and the two friends go along with it immediately Everybody's just like Cut to back home, and he's basically like hey mom and dad

[00:46:47] Can we keep them I'll get him a crate I'll take him out every day and they say yes, you can keep them also Gil Do we do you want to stay with us? You guys don't see the problem here like the conundrum here at all This scene is

[00:47:08] Why ask Gil if he wants to stay with them because if Gil says no Where is Gil going? Turned off he is nowhere. He's had that long time juice already Documentation he's not a legal citizen

[00:47:24] We don't even know nothing. We don't know if bullets would work on you guys don't break do you not see the the moral like Crux of this or you just decided it doesn't matter. It's a decoy. What do you mean? Like what's the problem?

[00:47:38] We don't have to go through it all again. You see right like I'll see the problem here if I can if I can create it. That's how we created life and

[00:47:48] He learned and he grew a conscience. Yes, we're gonna give him a chance a conscience. He learned he didn't know how to tell You don't know how to towel while also having conscience is something that grows with you like your knowledge of toweling

[00:51:53] Absolutely 180 when I saw mr. Fulton from high school musical to played the dad and more than fair I think we're all in the same. Yeah. Yeah Let's talk about the other me How it sat with us over time Aaron we've we've both seen this before

[00:52:07] We've now seen it now your thoughts on this movie and how it aged over time Yeah, this is one of those movies where I had way more fun watching it in my 30s and then I did as a 10 year old

[00:52:22] Maybe it's just the fact that Disney didn't air this one a lot like it's not even on Disney Plus So I didn't watch it a lot growing up but Going into this one. I my memories were like, yeah, this one's fine. It's Andy playing a twin

[00:52:38] There's some questionable science and And that's from somebody to see in chemistry. Yeah, imagine if you really get an anatomy and biology But Yeah, my my biggest memory of this movie was Pop-Tarts which isn't even in this movie

[00:52:56] So that just tells you how much I loved it as a kid But I had a lot of fun watching it Maybe it was just the environment. I was watching it in but I really enjoyed it. I Like it a lot really

[00:53:08] This movie is really fun it is ridiculous it is Andy Lawrence's best work Okay What do you disagree? I don't know how to even Classify it. Yeah, he was in that sitcom with his brothers. He was in a horse sense

[00:53:24] He was in this what else have I seen Andy Lawrence in is that it of those three? Gotta be the sitcom with his brother. Really? Yeah, brotherly love Listen you can have the conversation about is Andy Lawrence a good actor and it's a necessary conversation to have I

[00:53:42] Understand the arguments either way. I do that's hysteric I do think understand the argument that he's best work in this movie. I'd him drink from the water fountain I do think that Andy Lawrence is a good actor I Do think that he did play two distinct characters and

[00:54:10] that that is a Good job on on his part. I you you knew who you were looking at and talking to or listening to whenever the person was on screen whether it was Will or Tui The whole movie and Tui does not sure there's that giveaway

[00:54:31] But also the the to your point Candace Cameron Bure switched for Christmas She's this like she doesn't even she she tries it for like the first scene and then and then gives up

[00:54:42] He does give two different performances. You're not yes. So so yeah, I may be with you I think his best performance is as Tui Yeah Of course Tui is a national treasure. We love Tui Tui forever

[00:54:56] Listen if I can kill sweet real if I could kill switch to we or will and I'd kill switch will a person Yeah, but two he's more likable. I think yeah, I think he is. Yeah, we would all agree He's as real to me

[00:55:11] He's still real to me. I Yeah, this movie, you know, it's not the best before I weigh in on if he's real or not I do need to see all the cells just lay out there

[00:55:21] Thanks, I think if I could get the data on all what I'm trying to say is is like, you know You know the paper You know the paper with the things on the side that you used to get with like what? What even kind of printer is that?

[00:55:36] Sure. I'm thinking of a bunch of those papers with just like Numbers and pictures of cells and stuff if I could just see that what's going on I'd be able to figure it out. I think This movie this movie is not the best it's not the worst

[00:55:52] But it is Andy Lawrence's best work Dana. Yeah, this movie is ridiculous It's so stupid But it is filled with hijinks from start to finish it goes by in a flash The absurdity of this movie and the dance at no point was I like wow

[00:56:13] No point so on my list it is in my top 10 Wow because It is maybe aside from Johnny tsunami and Halloween tsunami Yeah, it is the only movie that I never was like how long is left in this movie and it's longer

[00:56:33] This movie is an hour 27. It's like five minutes longer than most of the movies We've watched and it's and it goes by very very quickly. So it's silly. I think they botched the clone like

[00:56:46] There's no good way to do a clone movie for children. There isn't I think we're very very like but this sets up a very weird premise that this movie doesn't deserve and and it's unfortunate because You don't I didn't maybe it's just me and I'm the monster here

[00:57:05] But I I didn't know who to pull for at the end of this movie. I didn't I don't know like Are we pulling for a clone? Who is designed to die live for 30 days to live forever there with no documentation as an identical cousin for what it's worth

[00:57:21] I do I am with you that the He shouldn't have had the the long life juice He shouldn't have had that like the movie is better if he disappears and then the parents show up if he disappears and Will has to take the lessons

[00:57:38] He's learned from Tui and how to treat others better and use them in life Which would have been perfectly acceptable for an eight-year-old kid to see this movies top three for me

[00:57:49] It isn't because of that but boy, does it go by in a flash? It is a laugh a minute and sometimes not on purpose Yeah, that's true it's time for making the list is where we talk about where this movie is gonna land on our lists
